Adding channel CJCS virtual/physical to existing task

Hello

I have a NI 9211 TC modules that I use to acquire temperatures through LabVIEW 2013 SP1, I have an existing task created in MAX.  I want to follow the CJC temperature sensor as well.  After looking at several positions, I discovered how to assign the physical channel hidden in a virtual channel in LabVIEW and then view the CJC value.  BTW...  Where there is under good which shows how to do this for the cDAQ series... find the 'AI Temp sensor built' is not clear (look under "analog EntrΘe, more").  But that part works now.

-->, I want to add this channel CJC to my existing job, but I get an error.  See CJC1.vi

Or, as an alternative, I would like to acquire the CJC temperature and acquire temperatures 8 other channels and then combine them somehow for display, recording, etc.

Note: I want to keep the data in the format of the waveform, so they work as part of a broad data acquisition program that I have.  And I want to continue to use the existing task as it contains the calibrations (via the wizard of Calibration MAX).

Here is the error that occurs when I run CJC2.vi with the active disabled code block.  (sometimes not is displayed after you press the Stop button)

Error-200072 occurred at .vi:7050002 DAQmx Create Channel (I-temperature-built-in sensor)

Possible reasons:

Duplicate the layers in the list of physical channels are not supported by this unit.

Channel name: _cDAQ3Mod1/_cjtemp
Dual channel: cDAQ3Mod1/_cjtemp
Physical channel: _cjtemp
Feature: cDAQ3Mod1

Name of the task: task of DAQ3

Attached files:

CJC1.VI<-- shows="" combined="" code="" and="" it="" throws="" the="">

CJC2.VI<-- shows="" how="" i="" acquire="" and="" display="" data="" from="" 8-channel="">

CJC3.VI<-- shows="" how="" the="" cjc="" temperature="" works="" by="">

Now, how to combine the two?

Thanks for the help,

Derek

Knowledge base seems to be a little confused right now because it only shows the node property for channel playback of strength. It's the correct property to read from a channel of CYC while you use it, but we must also set the CJC channel as an active channel first. The following snippet is the right way to do this in the context of this thread.

Please note that you must use the built-in CJC source for that to be applicable.

  • adding channels to daqmx after conversion Express

    Hi all

I am updating a VI I created a couple of years.  This is my first.  I used the VI Express DAQ.  I have received complaints about the computer hang up once in a while and thought it might be due to the Express.  So I used the LabView function to convert to individual tasks DAQmx.  Everything seems to work fine for the channels that were originally installed.  Now, we must add new channels to the reading.  Shot is high-level DAQmx icons in the main VI.  The second shot is the Subvi configuration of channel generated by the computer.  In AI voltage box you can see the channel, I'm adding, Channel 9.  Am I missing something obvious?  Thanks for the help.

  • Is it possible to rename an existing task in Windows Vista Task Scheduler Library, in the computer management console?

The 'Name' field seems to be greyed out on existing tasks, even if the other attributes of these tasks can be changed.

    Hi Casey,.

Thanks for posting the question on the Microsoft Community Forum.

Want to know how to rename a task into task schedular, I suggest that you try the steps mentioned below.

    a. in the Task Scheduler, highlight the task in question.

    b. click on export and choose a location to save the file (office is as good a place as any).

    c. click Save.

    d. in Windows Explorer, navigate to the location where you saved the file.

    e. you can then rename it as usual. Back in the Task Scheduler, click the import job.

    f. navigate to the renamed file.

    g. click OK.

    h. now highlight the original task (do not forget that there are now 2 tasks, one with the original)

name and one with the new name), then click on remove.

Hope the helps of the steps.

  • Adding an additional CASE to an existing deployment of NAC OOB 4.7.3

    Hi guys,.

If I am to add the certificate self-produced my new cases to the authorities of my CAM list existing certificate approved, it just will be added or it will replace the existing trusted certificate?

    Hi Adrien,.

"Certification authorities" are the certificate of all the CAs root and also self signed certs of the trusts of the CAM case. So whenever you add a root/selfsigned certificate to this list, it is added to the list and does not replace any of the CERT. This link gives more information:

  • Maximum amount of disks that can be added to a virtual machine?

    Hello

We are DPM configuration and we need a huge pool of disks and our EVA system allows us only to created a maximum of 2 TB LUN.

    global virtual channel physical channel

    A0 vtc00

    A0 vtc02

    My questions are:

    1. How can I change the virtual channel as follows:

    global virtual channel physical channel

    A0 vtc00

    A1 vtc01

    A2 vtc02

2-How do I re-name/remove the virtual global channel, when it is not in the task?

    Thanks for your time, Dylan

    Hello Carisa,.

I decided to go head re - install the DAQmx tonight and re-imported the right config file known about it.  So far, all global virtual channels are now under the management of devices and interfaces plus all unwanted virtual channels have disappeared - Yippee!  I tried to browse a unit test to make sure that the virtual channels work too, they seem good.

Finally, the issue is resolved.  I would like to say thank you to you for you and Roberto Bozozlo have spent the time to help me through this.

    Sincerely, Dylan

  • Add _boardTempSensor_vs_aignd to the existing task

Is it possible for me to create a virtual channel for Devx/_boardTempSensor_vs_aignd?  If I try to do this in MAX, I get only the possibility of using the ai0-15 channels.  I can create virtual channel in BT using Create Virtual Channel, but when I try to add additional channels to the task with DAQmx create a task, I get an error for the task existing does not in MAX.

The device is a PXI-6250 and I'm reading the temperature sensor embedded as well as a few other analog voltage.  Collection of data from analog in tension must be continues to stop and start the task is not really an option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure 6250 M series has embedded temperature sensor.  It is accessible on the tab calibration data in MAX under the current temperature.  It is also available under a node property of calibration in DAQmx.  I also read the string directly by wiring in Devx/_boardTempSensor_vs_aignd to the VI DAQmx create Virtual Channel.

As I understand it, it is impossible to combine internal and external channels in a task.  It's a little disappointing.  I think I found a software solution, but it's far from ideal because it periodically interrupt my continuous measurement.

    Thanks for your help.

  • How to modify a Virtual Machine DRS existing group?

    Hello

I use DRS-rules to place virtual machines to a host selected in a Cluster group.

The poblem is that I did not find methods to change (add new virtual machines) to an existing group of DRS 'Virtual Machine '.

As far as I know, the configuration is stored in $ClusterView.ConfigurationEx.Group

    Hi Willibald,

I did some research in the VMware vSphere SDK and made two functions Get-DrsGroup and VmToDrsGroup Add to add one or more virtual machines to a ClusterVmGroup. Some examples of how to use these function exists in the code. If you have added these features to your PowerCLI session, you can use Get-Help to get information about these functions. And also for the examples. For example Get-Help add-VmToDrsGroup-full.

    Hello

Once the host is already in the vCenter inventory, you cannot change it, you must disconnect host to vCenter, delete the inventory and add it again using a different name,.

for example, if you specify IP during the connection wizzard, it seems in vCenter inventory under an IP address, if you want it to be visible as a hostname or a domain FULL, during the wizard name you used its hostname or FULL domain name

  • Unable to create placeholder virtual machine already exists

We try to change a test of Protection Group to a new group of Production and I get the following error on some of our virtual machines that are not protected.

Protect the VM cannot create the VM space reserved on the recovering site: machine virtual recovery could not be created: the

    name ' already exists.

It's VShere 4.1 reproducing with recover Point separator 3.2

    Any enlightenment is appreciated.

I have (had) the same problem. It seems that there is a bug in the system. When you delete an old or protection group test it does remove all the place SRM LUN support files.

My fix, browse the place holder SRM datastore, after the withdrawal of your protection group, remove while flying over the records in the data store. After that, check the inventory of the VM, if all protected servers are still right click on each one and select Remove from the inventory.

Once all the old data is deleted you can re - create your protection group and all servers must be added without problem. If you still have trouble to re-post here and I'll try to help.

  • Channel of the DAQ (SMU-4498) task order

I have an SMU-4498 for which I generate an acquisiiton task programmatically. When the task is created channel order is not necessarily in ascending order of channel number.

My question is if the DAQ card will return the data in the order in which I defined the task or channel order?

    Thank you

It seems that the answer is that channels must be specified in the order, when creating a task.

I was experiencing problems of interference when using the module of Virtual wifi miniport, and I would like to know if there is any way I can change the channel on the v-wifi is bradcasting?

    THX!

    Lee

Well, I tried to find the latest driver for my card, I could find anything to the atheros website (what gives?).

Win 7 told me I got the latest driver, but I wouldn't trust windows update, as they said that my ethernet card was up-to-date (see 7.04) and when I went on the Realtek site, driver to v.7.23...

Anywho! I was not able to change the channel for the ad - hoc connection. I tried the connection with a PC and still cannot connect (so not a problem related to Mac).

I don't know what is happening with the miniport module or the wireless card (I tried different settings in properties and the Advanced Options tab, as power management), but it just would not work. So I got this router, and everything works fine.

  • Adding a VDI induction to an existing deployment of vSphere

We are vCenter Standard running in a clustered environment two blade HA/DRS vSphere. The cluster currently manages 15 VM, a combination of Windows and vApps VMware servers. Can we add ~ 6 VDI Office and/or a deployment of the that vCenter Server existing workspace / vSphere environment?

Such a structure is not recommended for large scale / production indeed.

But given the small scale given use case, you should be sure to move forward and avoid any involvement technique, provided sufficient resources CPU/memory/storage/and Ethernet is available and storage network/e/s bandwidths are not affected even under maximum use.

In your case, I suggest to create pools of resources for vSphere and control resources shared with wisdom and deploy VDI virtual machines in a separate pool of resources. If there is a provision for the uplink network dedicated to the virtual machines, which should be put to use.

    Hope this helps

  • Creating virtual machine with existing data

    Hi all

I have virtualized my almost all servers except the one and only one file server.  I'm under vsphere 4 with 2 ESXi hosts and a 2000 Eternus model 100 SAN and using Veeam 6 B & R

    Current configuration

Physical server with 2 network cards

    1 NETWORK LAN card

1 SAN NETWORK card using MS iSCSI initiator

    Windows 2003

There are 2 volumes on my SAN which is connected via the MS iSCSI initiator containing the data for the file server.  Server file sharing (NTFS) files stored on the San, and they have a lot of NTFS permissions on files and folders (approximately 1.5 TB of data).

    Ideal configuration

    1 virtual server

    1 vNIC to LAN

2 volumes of SAN share via the server

    Windows 2008 r2

    My question

Can I just add volumes to vsphere, create a virtual machine, add the two volumes of the virtual machine as 2 hard drives, the actions of installation and do with it?  I wonder where the permissions are checked and if these measures can be made without wiping the volumes.  I don't have another 1.5 TB of free space on the SAN.  I have a Netgear NAS I use as a target for backup if necessary but I prefer not to have to move the data if it is not needed.

I hope that I have covered all my bases to make this easy to understand situation and we hope to meet .

    Thank you

Welcome to the community - Yes, you would be able to present the NTFS on the computer virtual hosted on your server using a RDM (Raw Device Mapping). Permissions on NTFS volumes are stored in the NTFS file system-
