  Hello the Web community,

  I use. SASS files and I would like to know if there is a way for Dreamweaver cc 2014 at 'code preferences' while the use of these files as it does when you type standard css?

  Example of this is:

  In css: when you type the height it will come back with the code behind

  .div {}

  Height: auto

  }

  In sass: its actually not when you type height

  .div

  height: auto

  _____________

  I use sass indented while files are .sass not .scss

  

  Don't know why you use the code indented, but I'm sure you're luck with current versions of Dreamweaver regarding code hinting is concerned. Indicators of code comes into force after having returned a hug.

  If you want to get code hinting for Sass incorporated in Dreamweaver, you could post a suggestion. If there are enough responses, which I doubt, you can have a chance. I use SCSS which gives me the added benefit can I rename a file .css to .scss.

• Missing code hints and Design discover overview

  Using FB with Flex sdk 3.3 and AFCS SDK 0.91. I installed the SDK according to the instructions of the Guide of dev ACFS. I then added the FP9 afcs.swc for my project to build the path and compile for fp 9.0.124
  
  Examples of applications compile and run it.
  
  However
  1. I don't get any code hinting for classes acfs
  2. IN design mode, the components view white rectangles with red x and obscure flex components
  3. the mode of creation > components discovers, the acfs folder is empty, while the "custom" folder is full of components acfs.
  
  Any idea on what could be wrong?

  Hi Will,

  In my view, it turns out that we made a slight mistake in the guide of dev in the installation instructions - we mention you must link the source of the AFCS in your project for debug. Unfortunately, this seems to override the useful metadata in the SWC, which makes the SDK with more transparent FB work.

  Tips: Remove the source path, then go into the library path. Where one sees AFCS.swc, expand it, then select "source attachment. Click on the button to edit and add the source path here. This seems to do the trick, allowing you to debug code without the substitution of the CFC itself.

  Let's get the docs repaired to reflect this best way to set up the SDK.

  CSS code hints are not displayed for these targeting as properties:

  ! important

  nth: child

  Code hints is enabled in Prefs

  I have retsarted app, mac etc.

  n-child's a pseudo-selector of

  p: nth-child {}

  }

  ! important isn't a selector. It's a PostScript or modifyer.

  In any case, when indicators of code stops working as it should, it is usually an indication that your code is broken somewhere.  Try to validate your CSS to search for the missing semicolons or braces, etc...

  code hints does not work. Options are checked in the preferences, but no list of suggestions appears when I write the code.

  I find the problem!

  There seems to be a conflict with the port with an extensionnel screen display!

  When I start Dreamweaver with display port unplugged, dreamweaver works fine. And I can plug it after and it stills work. Other wise, if I plug the display port before launching dreamweaver, code hinting doesn't work anymore.

  Dreamweaver CC 2014 Mavericks 10.9.5 Mac.

  The first level will come back (with the initial list of all available tags), but not much activity is automatically with ^ space. 'Enable Code hinting' is checked in the preferences. System restart does not help.

  Without help, with tags, it might as well be a text editor if you work in code view.

  MODIFY > > just discovered this problem is specific to one of my defined sites. It works in another site. Will try to set up the site again.

  Last post - it WAS a mistake in my code. Validator's response was stuck and the reporting was not updated.

  A simple extra "was all that he has proved to be. Code hinting has worked anywhere in the code before this typo and nowhere after her fault.

• Close the Tags and other code hints works does not after installing Dreamweaver 2014

  I'm working on a windows machine.  All code hinting has where work on the previous installations, but they are not in 2014.  I don't know if it's a bug or something has changed and I need to activate the features other than the parameters indicative of Code somewhere?

  It turns out that I had to get more aggressive and restart my computer instead of simply restarting the program.

• Code hints works is not in Flash CC

  I just downloaded the demo Flash CC and reflected on the forums, but I can't see the code hints to work at all, when I start typing a line I get "Cache Building code hint" down to the right of the Actions panel with a warning icon - no more available info, no tool don't tilt it on working capital apparently does nothing.

  I have searched this problem in the forums and found many references to code hinting does not not and have tried all the recommendations supported for deleting the CodeModel file, reset preferences, preferences remove, check and unchecking preferences, change the direction of file in the registry and nothing seems to work - still no indication of code at all.

  I'm on a windows machine 8, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

  You saved your file as the desktop of any common place with a large number of files? Can you try to save your file as on a new folder or specific project and then see if code hinting comes up fine.

• Code hinting HTML5 missing or lost

  I have Dreamweaver CS6 and just start experimenting with HTML5.

  My understanding is that code hinting is available for HTML5.

  However, when I try to use specific tags in HTML5, it does not seem to be any reference or indication of the label itself.

  For example, if start typing the "header" tag, that tag doesn't ever show in the drop-down list. If I manually use the header tag, without code hinting appears to fill this tag.

  I checked that I use the appropriate and for the new page, used doctype HTML5 of DW to create the new page.

  Since this is my first attempt to use HTML5, I don't really know if the allusion was available on the initial installation of the CS6.

  A few weeks ago, I did the recommended upgrade 12.1.

  In doing so, I found I lost a number of settings and had to apply for multiple extensions.

  If this lack of indicators of HTML5 code was related to this, I know not because never really knew if I'd initially.

  Would appreciate help or direction. Is there an extension that can apply to them? I had to reapply the extension for my ColdFusion allusion; but I thought HTML5 reference has been integrated into the CS6 version.

  I made the change of filename TagLibraries.vtm (for TagLibraries_bak.vtm). Indeed, detached.

  DW restarted and all the good code hinting, including HTML5 as "header" "footer" worked very well, as did all my ColdFusion reference, etc.

  Then returned and renamed back to TagLibraries.vtm (from the suggestion above), and is no longer referring HTML5 work.

  Right now, everything seems fine in fact removing the TagLibraries.vtm file.

  Doesn't seem wise.

• Cs6 php Dreamweaver the variable code hints works not

  IM new to dreamweaver cs6 and one thing I like about cs5 was that when I typed "$" it would instantly give me a selection of variables that I had already used in my page or included in php variables ($_POST, $_SESSION, $_REQUEST...), however, now when I type "$" I get only a list of variables that I've used, and it is sometimes incorrect, for example if I used $_SESSION ['valid'] then the indication of the code would be $_SESSION.

  I already checked that my prefrences to the code hints and I all is checked.

  Anyway, my question is how to enable these types of indicators of code.

  Hi, in preferences-> code advice jquery 1.7 disable code and it works.

  I can't understand why my code hints don't work. I checked in the preferences, and they are turned on, but not displayed. I read that you can manually display the list with ctrl + space, but which does nothing no more. I'm on a mac. Any suggestions?

  In CS 5.5, there is the very strong code hints when writing in code view. Is it possible to disable some of them? For example, when you change a line of code, I get a lot of different suggestions for things that I could add or what I might try to add. Most of the time I'm editing the text of site or make some changes to a tag of class or something and the indicators are not at all useful. But the window is very distracting.

  I see no way to change how it suggests the code in the preferences.

  Edit > Preferences > Code Hints...

• Bug code Hinting in CS5

  For some reason, I don't get code hinting trying to code in one in Florida (or in a file.)

  I had seen a few reports of this problem, but people seemed to solve by recording or by putting their .as files in the same folder. But I don't use the .as files.

  I experienced the problem when I got CS5. And I saw a little warning in the lower corner of the Panel AS that Flash was still building a cache. And when I recorded this file, that I suddenly referring.

  This time, I hadn't saved and thought: "Oh, Yes, I need to save." But that no longer works.

  I use CS5 on a Mac under 10.6.3. I have not yet installed CS4.

  Can what you save your files?  This help if you save to a different location?  The current working directory is part of the default classpath settings, so if you save your FLA on the desktop, which can lead to cache code Council fails since you could have many other files/folders on your desktop too.

  3. restart Flash and try again.

  Okay I found the problem. Your FLA file and your .as must be registered in their own folder. (Don't know why, quite annoying really.) I had the same problem when I got the .as and .fla the scattered in the folder my documents. Please say if you're still having problems.

• Deactivation of PHP code hinting

  Is it possible to disable the code for PHP hints, but not HTML? I tried to deselect each individual option under the guidance of Code in the preferences window, but nothing. The only way that I can't seem to do is uncheck the box Enable Code hinting.
  
  Find very useful for HTML code hinting, drop-down menus, dealing especially with the CSS attributes... it's priceless. However, tips for PHP code are pretty useless for me. It is not a drop-down menu, but rather a mouseover text window that shows you the basic structure of the function you are going to use. First of all, the window starts across other code above it, which can be stop your workflow. Second, if I type the name of a PHP function... I no longer know how to use already or I am to my other monitor which visualizes php.net. I need not DW to make a lame attempt to help me write PHP code.
  
  I know I can hit ESC or DELETE to make this window go away, but we will tell you to use a function with two parameters... shabam! The mouseover boring and useless is displayed when you press the comma key to enter in the second parameter... uggggg.

  I'm surprised it's a lame attempt, as the two Zend Studio and
  PhpED offers exactly the same type of code hinting. You can also enable
  a drop of about 2 600 functions PHP by pressing
  CTRL + space anywhere within a block of PHP code. Personally, I find the code
  advice far lame (although I'd like Dreamweaver to be more
  proactive by introspection of the code as well).

  Anyway, if you want to get rid of PHP code hinting, locate the following file:

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver
  CS3\configuration\CodeHints\CodeHints.XML

  Delete lines 327 to 2965. Code hinting will be upset is no longer with you.
