• Buttons display code, Split and design are missing...

  Hello

  I was working in Dreamweaver yesterday and press a button or does something that makes the Code, Split, design of buttons at the top of the document disappear and I can't work for the life of me how to recover. Can someone point me in the right direction? Here's what I used to have, and the second image is what I have now... I don't know that it's simple, I can't seem to change it!

  I use a Mac and have Dreamweaver CC.

  Right-click the toolbar and make sure that the Document is selected

• PHP and design view

  When I run PHP/dynamic/New document, I see only the Code view. Design mode and split mode are not available. Why? Any other document dynamic I post in all three views.

  Another thing to check: open preferences in the Edit (Dreamweaver menu
  menu on a Mac), then select types of files/publishers. If .php is listed in Open
  in code view, remove it from the list. You should then be able to move
  in Design view.

• Cs6 php Dreamweaver the variable code hints works not

  IM new to dreamweaver cs6 and one thing I like about cs5 was that when I typed "$" it would instantly give me a selection of variables that I had already used in my page or included in php variables ($_POST, $_SESSION, $_REQUEST...), however, now when I type "$" I get only a list of variables that I've used, and it is sometimes incorrect, for example if I used $_SESSION ['valid'] then the indication of the code would be $_SESSION.

  I already checked that my prefrences to the code hints and I all is checked.

  Anyway, my question is how to enable these types of indicators of code.

  Based on the information you gave it seems you found the error code 0x80004005 and 0x8007047F during the installation of Windows Media player.

  If you have windows 7 installed, it is not possible to uninstall Windows Media Player 12. Windows Media Player 12 comes preinstalled with the operating system. You can not downgrade to Windows Media Player 11 in Windows 7.

  I suggest you to follow the link and check if it is enabled or disabled, and then restart the computer to start windows media player 12.

• Hotkeys DW 20141 for 'Code and Design' gone

  Option disappeared to define keyboard shortcuts specially for 'Code and Design' (or simply design either, incidentally)?  Split Code option gives you just two code windows and all the other options of shortcuts for Live View, not design view.

  Thanks for sharing screenshots. Now, this makes your very clear query.

  Now with the release of DW CC 20141, the default view is Live View. Could be because of this options has been removed.

• Close the Tags and other code hints works does not after installing Dreamweaver 2014

  I'm working on a windows machine.  All code hinting has where work on the previous installations, but they are not in 2014.  I don't know if it's a bug or something has changed and I need to activate the features other than the parameters indicative of Code somewhere?

  It turns out that I had to get more aggressive and restart my computer instead of simply restarting the program.

• Code hinting HTML5 missing or lost

  I have Dreamweaver CS6 and just start experimenting with HTML5.

  My understanding is that code hinting is available for HTML5.

  However, when I try to use specific tags in HTML5, it does not seem to be any reference or indication of the label itself.

  For example, if start typing the "header" tag, that tag doesn't ever show in the drop-down list. If I manually use the header tag, without code hinting appears to fill this tag.

  I checked that I use the appropriate and for the new page, used doctype HTML5 of DW to create the new page.

  Since this is my first attempt to use HTML5, I don't really know if the allusion was available on the initial installation of the CS6.

  A few weeks ago, I did the recommended upgrade 12.1.

  In doing so, I found I lost a number of settings and had to apply for multiple extensions.

  Would appreciate help or direction. Is there an extension that can apply to them? I had to reapply the extension for my ColdFusion allusion; but I thought HTML5 reference has been integrated into the CS6 version.

  I made the change of filename TagLibraries.vtm (for TagLibraries_bak.vtm). Indeed, detached.

  DW restarted and all the good code hinting, including HTML5 as "header" "footer" worked very well, as did all my ColdFusion reference, etc.

  Then returned and renamed back to TagLibraries.vtm (from the suggestion above), and is no longer referring HTML5 work.

  Right now, everything seems fine in fact removing the TagLibraries.vtm file.

  Doesn't seem wise.

• Missing Windows Installer, updates are back with the error Code 80070641 and 641 of the Code

  My count started with windows update issues. My updates come back with Code and 80070641 Code error 641But when I went to check my windows installer, I couldn't find the file. I tried to restore before I had the problem with no luck. Also, I tried a lot of wany to try to find the file. Any suggestions?

  Dreamweaver CC 2014 Mavericks 10.9.5 Mac.

  The first level will come back (with the initial list of all available tags), but not much activity is automatically with ^ space. 'Enable Code hinting' is checked in the preferences. System restart does not help.

  Without help, with tags, it might as well be a text editor if you work in code view.

  Last post - it WAS a mistake in my code. Validator's response was stuck and the reporting was not updated.

  A simple extra "was all that he has proved to be. Code hinting has worked anywhere in the code before this typo and nowhere after her fault.

  In CS 5.5, there is the very strong code hints when writing in code view. Is it possible to disable some of them? For example, when you change a line of code, I get a lot of different suggestions for things that I could add or what I might try to add. Most of the time I'm editing the text of site or make some changes to a tag of class or something and the indicators are not at all useful. But the window is very distracting.

  I see no way to change how it suggests the code in the preferences.

  Edit > Preferences > Code Hints...

  When you work with a href hyperlink in FrontPage linking to an anchor such as < a href = "my_manual.html #Licensure" > tag, I use Ctrl-click on the hyperlink in design mode to probably go to the location of the corresponding anchor tag (for example, < a name = "Permit" >) on the my_manual.html page, if it was on the same page or another page in the same Web site.
  
  I already wrote on this forum about the apparent lack of a keyboard shortcut right to do the same thing in fashion Design DW. Since then, I have discovered that if you are in Code view and clicks in such a href pointing to a location in another file, the contextual menu items is "Open my_manual.html #Licensure" and Ctrl-D is listed as a keyboard shortcut. (Such a context menu item unfortunately does not at all if the href attribute points to a different location on the same page.) However, the context menu item does not show the correctly underscore character, but places under the manual m and the shortcut does not work — it by selecting from the context menu or by pressing Ctrl-D - the requested page does not open and nothing happens. Also, if I click on the hyperlink in design mode and use the context menu, select "Open the linked Page", I get this error message: "C:\". [...] \my_manual.html#licensure' is not found. "It makes no sense because the named file exists clearly in the named path, but there is of course no file with the name"C:\ ". [...] \my_manual.html#licensure ". The anchor for the Licensure tag is correct, so this isn't the problem.
  
  The lack of this essential feature for following hyperlinks when editing large pages (for example, academic or manual pages) Web is so harmful that

  Thanks for the clarification David Alcala. Looks like we are at the big picture. Now I understand what is happening during the Ctrl-double click in a table cell and the potential value of the option to select the cells in a table even. Regarding in an intuitive manner to resolve the conflict in the main expectations shortened, what perhaps assigning click Alt-Left to followed link function?-seems not do something else now. But there are much more features detailed program I know probably.

  In any case, you might want to specify in detail the steps required to follow a link to his anchor since the page http://livedocs.macromedia.com/dreamweaver/mx2004/using/16_lin24.htm tag does not mention explicitly the continuation of links to anchor on the same tags or another page, just open a linked whole document. It could also benefit from mention keyboard shortcuts specific using 2 Ctrl-double clicks when it is inside a table cell.

  And Yes, it would be great to have the external link checker without having to launch a separate program HomeSite - this was expressed by others in front of me, but it's something that distinguishes FrontPage on DW currently.
