adding field of electronic signature to AIA Contract pdf

Does anyone have an experience by adding a signature field to a contract of AIA (architecture)?  AIA software spits out a "secure" PDF that cannot be changed, but based on what I see of executed previously pdfs in our office files, there is a way to add the signature field to obtain the contracts as an unsecured pdf. It is not a "certified" signature or anything like that. He is currently in my office who knows how to do this.  Thank you.

Hilaural89998734,

If the PDF is secured in this case it can not be used with eSign.

Thank you

Abhishek

  • Problems with adding fields of digital signature

    OK, so I'm an IT Manager / developer DB for a defense contractor. And I consider myself reasonably technically competent in MOST things. But this problem has left me speechless (for the most part) for lack of decent instructions or advice are on the lines.

    , I'm looking to create a form for use by the employees of my company to follow the 'signatures'. we have so far put in forms manually signed for this purpose, my goal is to go paperless with this process. I know it can be done because the air force (my client) uses a form that allows you to do something similar (see here: http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/infomgt/forms/eforms/dd2875.pdf). Forward listed form allows you to 'click' on the signature block and add your digital signature (which, for the AF, comes from an IDENTITY card). Let explain me the dev environment, I am using / testing on:

    Creation of the form:

    I use my laptop with my own personal copy of Adobe Pro 9. I have no installed dig signature or any ability to use on this system. I CAN, however, add the field to the GIS during the creation of the form and the field responds when you click on it, but with a command prompt different than the 2875 (I think this may be part of the question). Then I tried sending it to my AF computer to test whether it will actually allow me to add a signature block.

    Tested the form:

    On my AF computer I only software adobe reader 9 installed, and it will allow me to add my signature to the DD 2875. When I do my newly created form with my added field GIS that nothing happens at ALL when you click it.

    Troubleshooting:

    I first noticed that under form properties security has been put in place to NOT allow the signing. I changed that and returned on one system to the other, and it seems that in the translation he loses this setting. First, I assumed it might be due to the security the AF place on its e-mail servers. So in response I burned the form of a cd and manually transferred but got the same result.

    Conclusion:

    I terribly bit educated on the development of PDF I suspect to understand everything that happens here, but I feel there's a script attached to the FA form that works and allows him to function properly. If this is the case I don't know what recourse I have, if any. BUT, if its something simple that I'm missing just in cause of my lack of experience I hope someone here can help me.

    Thank you!

    Hi LBitner99,

    Before you can use Adobe Reader to add a digital signature to a PDF document, the file must be "enabled for the drive.  There are two ways to do this, you must use a server, what the DoD because they need to drive helps thousands of documents. The other way is to use Acrobat Pro (I know that you said you have Pro, but for anyone else reading this has has Acrobat Standard, this version is not the feature activate Reader).

    With the file you worked on open in select Acrobat the Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader menu item. Click the Save button in the dialog box that followed, and the new file will have digital signature rights in Reader.

    I hope this helps.

  • Adding fields of Digital Signature to multiple Pages in a Document

    Hello

    I have a batch processing java script that will set the fields of digital signature in a drawing.

    Sometimes drawing can contain several pages and the script must set the fields of digital signature on each page.

    The problem with the script that I have is that the digital signature fields appear only on the first page.

    Can someone please provide help to modify my script so that the fields of digital signature are displayed on each page?

    Drawing signature field rev 0

    var this.numPages = NUMPAGES;
    for (var i = 0;  I < numpages; i++) {

    var a = this.addField ("Checked", "signature", i, [1783, 174, 1724, 198]);

    var b = this.addField ("Designed", "signature", i, [1783, 149,5, 1724, 173,5]);

    var c = this.addField ("App Design", "signature", i, [1783, 125, 1724, 149]);

    var d = this.addField ("Proj App", "signature", i, [1783, 101, 1724, 125]);

    }

    Thank you very much.

    You can't have more than one signature with the same name field. In addition, your rect coordinates are reversed, they should look be:

    var a = this.addField("Checked", "signature", i, [1724, 198, 1783, 174]);  // etc.

  • How can I send a PDF (contract) with electronic signature fields to a client which sends the document to its legal service for execution?

    How can I send a PDF (contract) with electronic signature fields to a client which sends the document to its legal service for execution? The last time that I sent him one he simply passed on to its legal group but it infiltrates automated email (text pending signature) even after its Legal Department has run.

    Hey bje59649739,

    Please check that no signature field is empty in the document to be signed.

    You can send the document yet keep identification of the signer's email (under: label) for the Legal Department to get the completely signed document.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Kind regards

    Hi karlac94348387 ,

    Please provide the application & version of the OS installed on your system.

    Also share you workflow & name of the application using what document is signed.

    If you submit this form using Acrobat application place digital signature fields, make sure that save you the form with Reader features Extended so that if other users have only the Reader app they can fill out the form as well. (File > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > allow more tools)

    You can also place electronic signature fields after the role definition for all participants for the respective fields using "send to the signature" (if you have Acrobat Pro DC continuous version), more on this please refer to the article:- adding form fields. Tutorials

  • How to sign a document in Adobe Reader w/electronic signature?

    I am signing a tax form, its hard to the doc to the reader how to create a signature for use on the document.

    Hi Matt,

    From the form you want to sign open in Reader, select the tool fill & sign on the right side of the toolbar. This action opens the filler panel & sign of right hand. Then open (expansion) Tools to fill & sign.

    There are three possible scenarios to this point...

    1. The Signature Place tool is disabled (grayed out). That would be because the security on the folder setting do not allow any changes.
    2. E Place signaturetool is enabled, but when select you and get the Signature of Place dialog box, the only option available is a certificate of use. This is because the document contains an existing signature field and support is the author of the document requires a digital signature, secure as opposed to the electronic signature.
    3. Place signaturee tool is activated, and all the radio buttons are activated on the Signature of Place dialog box.

    That three scenarios you encounter drive you can do then. Obviously with scenario 1 there is nothing else to do. Scenario 2 you must have access to a digital ID to create a digital signature. Scenario 3, you have the ability to create a digital signature using your digital ID, or you can create an electronic signature by placing a mark on the paper. This mark can be your typed name, a signature that you create with a mouse or a scanned image of your wet ink signature.

    If you need to create a digital signature, then you must have access to a digital code. There are two options for getting a digital ID; You can buy one from a reliable certification authority (CA), which will be to sift through your identity, or, you can have drive generated an unreliable digital ID for free. What you select depends on what the second part (you are the first party, the recipient of the document is the second party and if a CA is involved they are one-third) requires, or more precisely, what agreement you and other party come.

    I hope this helps to get your started.

  • Can someone put an electronic signature if they have Adobe Reader?

    I have created a form with Adobe X Pro that requires a signature, but a majority of the people, that I will send this form will probably have only adobe reader software.  Is there a way for them to "place an ink signature" or sign up with adobe reader?

    There are two types of signatures that Adobe Reader can apply.

    1. the Digital Signature requires a Reader extended via Adobe Acrobat Pro or LIveCycle Server ES4 document and a Signature field pre-created in the document.

    2. the Electronic Signature, which is applied by means of an online service called EchoSign Adobe and who is a paid service.

    You must decide is you want your users to use, and then continue accordingly.

    There is no format. You have to type your name. Each E-signature is unique as your normal signature.

  • Adding fields to a Manager slows down application

    Is there a reason why adding fields to a Manager directly slows my application?

    In the constructor of my screen, I loop and add 200 LabelFields.  This causes the user interface is very slow.

    However, if I loop and add fields to a temporary VerticalFieldManager and then add only the Manager screen, works fast.

    The disadvantage of this approach is that the user will not be able to see the added both fields.

    I am surprised that I did not notice this earlier.

    Here's the slow code:

    import net.rim.device.api.system.Application;import net.rim.device.api.ui.Manager;import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.ButtonField;import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.LabelField;import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.MainScreen;import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.VerticalFieldManager;

    public class TestScreen extends MainScreen {

      private static final int NUM_ROWS = 200;

        VerticalFieldManager outerRowManager;

       public TestScreen() {     super();

            ButtonField runBackgroundButton = new ButtonField("Background") {         protected boolean navigationClick(int status, int time) {             new BackgroundThread();               return true;          }     };

          outerRowManager = new VerticalFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR);

           add(runBackgroundButton);     add(outerRowManager); }

       public class BackgroundThread {

         public BackgroundThread() {           (new WorkerThread()).start();     }

           private class WorkerThread extends Thread {

             public void run() {

                 for (int i = 0; i < NUM_ROWS; i++) {

                     synchronized (Application.getEventLock()) {                       outerRowManager.add(new LabelField("ROW " + i, LabelField.FOCUSABLE));                    }             }         }

           } }}

    And here is the quick code:

    import net.rim.device.api.system.Application;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.Manager;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.ButtonField;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.LabelField;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.MainScreen;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.VerticalFieldManager;

    public class TestScreen extends MainScreen {

        private static final int NUM_ROWS = 200;

        VerticalFieldManager outerRowManager;

        public TestScreen() {
            super();

            ButtonField runBackgroundButton = new ButtonField("Background") {
                protected boolean navigationClick(int status, int time) {
                    new BackgroundThread();
                    return true;
                }
            };

            add(runBackgroundButton);
        }

        public class BackgroundThread {

            public BackgroundThread() {
                (new WorkerThread()).start();
            }

            private class WorkerThread extends Thread {

                public void run() {

                    outerRowManager = new VerticalFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL | Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR);

                    for (int i = 0; i < NUM_ROWS; i++) {
                        outerRowManager.add(new LabelField("ROW " + i, LabelField.FOCUSABLE));
                    }

                    synchronized (Application.getEventLock()) {
                        add(outerRowManager);
                    }

                }

            }
        }
    }

    The answer is actually quite simple. Every time that you add a field to a Manager, updateLayout() is called. In the first example, you already added "outerRowManager" to the screen and it was posted until you start adding LabelFields. In the second example you add fields to the Manager until the Manager has been added to the screen and displayed. Its always faster to add bottom up (onscreen Manager fields)... In addition, you are synchronizing with the interface thread user 200 times compared to 1 time.

  • Export of Electronic Signatures using archive

    Im trying to reproduce some content on server1 to server2 using archive, but the Electronic Signature are not replicated. I put the ElectronicSignatures table for the export. How to do this?

    I see this on Oracle Docs:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10978/c03_repository.htm#CSMRC420

    When you use the archiver with the component of Electronic Signatures, be sure to use the feature to archive table to move the table ElectronicSignatures. If the archived content is restored without associated signature metadata, errors may occur. For more information on archiving content, see the Oracle WebCenter System Administrator Guide content to Content Server.

    Yes, the exact condition is not possible as in the signature details will not be exported to the target instance.
