HP Envy Phoenix 1300 t h9: lack of Audio driver

Hello

PN #C1V11AV. I just reset my desktop and everything seems fine except that it does not reload "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" and you can see that I've encountered. Any ideas? Thank you.

Appreciate the help.  When I read your post, the link to the 8.1 driver, that was what I was looking for, but HP is not always help with the update Windows 10 and move towards our update of Windows, so I came here to the HP Forum. I was not informed of an answer, but before checking back here to see if anyone responded to my plea w/o my notice, I went to the Forum of the community of Microsoft and found a similar query.  And the answer to this question was basically this:

Update driver software

Let me collect a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

Select it Audio device high definition (not IDT high def...)  "This is important). and click Next.

(A warning message appears, but the answer Yes).

And... Updated Windows driver software.

Initially, in Device Manager, the device has also been changed for HD Audio device but after reopening the Device Manager the device back to IDT... but audio still worked. In the case where when I reboot my system, my audio reverts back, I will use YOUR advice. But, for now, it works, so I Ain t going to mess with it! So, if you hear of me again, you know what happened.

Thank you very much.

  • Desktop HP ENVY Phoenix 860VX: how to replace ssd boot drive in a desktop HP ENVY Phoenix 860VX?

I bought a desktop computer HP ENVY Phoenix 860VX with an SSD of 256 GB of disk as a boot disk with a disk of 1 TB storage.  I have a Samsung Evo Pro 500 GB SSD I want to use as the startup disk.  I cloned the original drive to the Samsung Evo without problem.  I opened the PC folder to move hard disks, and I can't find the SSD drive.  I found the pretty easy storage of 1 TB drive but cannot find the SSD drive.  Can anyone help?

    Greetings,

You can have a PCIe M.2 (Non - SED) Solid State Drive 256Go.

This drive connects to the motherboard, it's the size of a stick of gum.

It can be mounted vertically or stand flat on the motherboard (MB).

M2 the drive is much faster than an SATA 3 SSD.  You may not be happy with this change if you bought a SATA 3 SSD. You might be better off going to a 512 GB m2 if the MB supports. I noticed that the m2 drive runs closer to the rated speed when using a k i7 - 5930 or an i7-5960 x due to the track of 40 PCIe bus as opposed to 28 tracks on the i7-5820 k.

It should be close to the PCIe slots. ASRock, Asus and Gigabyte locate M.2 slots here as it connects with the bus PCIe x 16 and uses the bandwidth of one of the 16 slots x.

If this is true, install the SATA SSD in the available Bay HHD using an adapter 2.5 inches. Then change the default boot device in the BIOS for the SATA SSD. You may need to experiment on what SATA port you use. EFI can be finicky. It is also possible that you may have to reinstall the original image. I have an Asrock x 99 card in m.2. Asrock BIOS is much more forgiving and configurable. I'm not familiar with MB of your PC or the boot configuration options available during the passage of a m2 boot device to a boot SATA device.

This change of equipment could also ruin to restore the PC using the original image. It depends on whether this change of equipment is a configurable option to purchase.

    See you soon!

  • HP Envy Phoenix: Disabling Beats Audio Sound card in desktop HP Envy Phoenix

Here's my problem, my HP Envy Phoenix office above came with Beats Audio standard install, I installed a new card his SoundBlaster Audigy 5/Rx installed fine, but one of my audio editing programs says

The output of the sound card could not be defined at this sampling frequency: 44100 Hz

Either the device does not support this sampling frequency, or it is in slave mode and its sampling frequency cannot be changed by elements of WaveLab. So how do I know if my new sound card is running in slave mode and how do I change this? or maybe disable the card Audio Beats?

    Thanks in advance,

    SP60

    SP60, welcome to the forum.

Beats Audio should automatically be turned off when the sound card is installed.  However, you can go to the control panel Audio Beats and uncheck the "Set as default device".  You can do this with the recording device, too.

  • Battle field 4 on HP Envy Phoenix disappoint

My system is a Phoenix ENVY h9-1300 with 24 MB of RAM, Intel I5-3570 3.45 GHz with 1 GB AMD Radeon HD 7670 graph card.

I just BF4 and don't run would be it would be with this configuration.

In fact I bought an old Warfighter Game of Ministry of HEALTH and who did not run.

I love HP but * beep * is it with PC games they just do not work at all

    all ideas

The answer is simple, it is that your graphics engine does not have the required RAM memory.

The PC recommended configuration for optimal rate of quality and Visual framework:

•A CPU (Intel Core i5 or i7) core at 3 Ghz

4 GB of memory (8 GB for 64-bit operating systems)

•A with 2 + GB of video memory, modern DX11 graphics card series 600 GeForce or Radeon 7000 series

    • Windows 7 64 - bit operating system (Windows 8 is supported as well)

•30 + GB of free hard disk space

Field 4 is slightly optimized for AMD hardware, since the game runs also on next gen, which are powered by AMD CPU and GPU consoles. This means that players with PC AMD graphics cards could see a slight advantage. The Nvidia and AMD offer 4 Battlefield optimized drivers PC

OK I need help with my HP Envy Phoenix 810-130qe desktop computer. My pc came with Windows Pro 8.1 and it had an audio panel where you can set the audio beats. When Windows 10 came out I've upgraded to Pro 10 Windows and my control panel audio beats was still on my pc and worked very well. Then, when Windows 10 anniversary came out August 2 my pc automatically updated for the anniversary edition. Everything was normal, but my control panel audio beats had disappeared and I was able to find it anywhere. Do anyone knows how I can get it back or if there is no driver I can download to get it.

  • HP Envy Phoenix h9-1330: No. IDT pilot = no sound in Windows 10

    Hello

Currently I am fuming with frustration because last night I noticed my Audio Beats Panel was missing and when I searched for it in the menu start he says that the shortcut has been lost. I searched these forums very and advice provided to completely uninstall the IDT Audio driver, reboot and let Windows Update to reinstall the driver. However, when I came back to my computer tonight, Windows Update does not update and I have no sound driver, therefore, no noise. Since I was on Windows 10, HP chose not to create a driver on their Web site for my specific computer beyond Windows 8.1. Could someone help me please, I already made the decision that I would never buy a computer ever pre-engineered, much less a HP, but to make this last a bit more someone can you please tell me how I can get my IDT Audio Driver back as well as the Beats Audio Control Panel on Windows 10 64 Bit for the HP Envy Phoenix h9-1330.

    Thank you.

sp71717 is an audio driver IDT W10.

    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.html

sp71918 is only for notebook PC with the IDT.

If you do a search in the forum Office IDT Windows 10, you'll see a lot of messages from members with similar PC ' where sp71717 works.

Here's one for example yesterday.  There is no audio driver IDT W10 for referenced either model.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-audio/beats-audio-missing-after-Windows-10-update/m-p/5795402#M55499

Probably the registry is damaged, as you have tried so many drivers.

The only suggestion I can offer at this point is to right click on uninstall to select a problem IDT HD audio device, check the driver uninstall, restart the PC and try again sp71717.

If that works, for now you can have his base by performing the following steps...

Go to Device Manager and click to expand the category of audio, video and game controllers device.

    1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC under this category.

    2. Select the driver tab.

    3. click on Update Driver... button.

4-> select Browse my computer for driver software.

    5. Select-> Let pick me from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

    6. Select Audio device high definition (not IDT high def...)  "This is important). and click Next.

A warning message may appear, but click Yes.

7 Windows has updated your driver software.

    8 restart the PC.

    The key is step 6.

The steps I've tried: uninstallation with Revouninstaller, resettlement, reset

    @troubleshoot411, welcome to the forum.

I agree with using Revo.  This is my go to app for malware.  When you used Revo, you use the advanced option?  This will not only remove the program from the HARD disk, but it removes remnants of the BIOS.  If this is not the case, this could be the problem.  I suggest to try the advanced option to remove HPSA and shut down the computer.  Then, start and reinstall HPSA here.

  • HP ENVY Phoenix 860-078na: adding a second graphics card for HP ENVY Phoenix 860-078na

I think to buy a HP ENVY Phoenix 860-078na and I was wondering if it is able to take a second graphics card and can accommodate a Corsair H60 liquid CPU Cooler. Thank you

    Felix, welcome to the forum.

There is only one PCI Express x 16 (Genesis 3) slot for a video card.  With respect to liquid cooling, medium size case do not have a lot of space.  I have a Phoenix 860-170VR with an R9-390 X video card and it is extremely tight.  However, having said that, I think you wouldl be pleasantly surprised by the way the computer will be with existing components.  I can play COD series on the best settings.

  • HP ENVY PHOENIX CTO 810-135QE - 600 watts power supply Question

In the near future, I would like to upgrade the video card in my desktop HP ENVY PHOENIX CTO 135QE-810 GT 640 default to something a little more powerful and I was wondering if there is any details about the default 600 watts power that will help me in my decision to the next video card.

I know that some video cards require a number of amps on the 12 volt rail and all the information that I have found previously on the power of 600 watts power supply in the computer is not in that kind of detail.

What I read, the power is a Petrus 600W e-star 5.0 Bronze, HP Part number 633186-002.

Any additional details and details on this power to help me determine the next video card would be useful.

On a side note the video card, I'm currently doing is one of the next Nvidia GTX 750 TI models, thoughts and recommendations on this specific map?

    Thank you

    JCOOPER2

    Hello

Your PC has UEFI bios, so most video cards should work.  Some video cards will work in UEFI mode and others in legacy mode, that your PC is able to run.

When the manufacturer of the video card and/or AMD or NVIDIA specify a minimum power supply size then it is best to stick to this recommendation.  Not all power supplies are built to the same standards of quality.  In addition the internal components, temperature, charges unknown and time that the PC will be placed under the maximum load are taken into account at the recommendation of minimum power supply is indicated.

I have not seen a power of 500 watts with 12v rating of 18A, but this does not mean that there is not. And if that's the case, then the total power rating is suspect. A video card that requires an external auxiliary power connector will also draw power from the PCI-E slot.

Are there cases where the minimum size of the power supply is insufficient? Yes, those who might be extreme but someone can have connected to power different connectors either to avoid buying a new power supply or maybe around just the food manufacturer minimum power rating. Some may do it thinking 'I'm going on fox the Fox ". It can work, but maybe the questions later start occurred.  I prefer to get the job done right the first time. You don't need a power supply to perhaps of overload and short circuit then internally causing spikes to the components in the PC.

  • can I install an SSD on an optical drive in a HP Envy Phoenix

I just bought a custom HP ENVY Phoenix Desktop - 810-350se CTO with a Raid 5 (3 x 2 TB) configuration, but I noticed and did some research it seems that it's better to have an SSD installed for faster computer access data, of course, I want to use for the operating system installed on it.  So I have two questions?

(1.) I can change the configuration so that I can add a SSD on an optical drive? (This will be the 4th disc). Since I already use 3 HARD drive on a Raid 5 configuration and there is no more space on the left, I guess I can only use an empty space of optical drive and install a SSD?

2.) is there a limitation on the number of readers and HARD disk can be installed on the motherboard?

My proposed solution is to keep the 3 HARD drive and install a 4th disk (SSD) on the optical drive and use it to the operating system (Windows 8.1).

    Recommendations or suggestions is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    3rd generation Intel Core i7-4960 X processor

4 TB 7200 RPM SATA 6 G RAID Hard Drive

    Hello

Your PC is already using a bootloader of Windows 8 and if you load the SSD in UEFI mode, then you will add an another boot loader of Windows 8 for the menu eligible boot device.  This will lead to confusion.  I suggest that you avoid this situation by trying the following procedure:

    1. Don't forget to create the external HP recovery media
    2. Install the SSD on port 1 or 2
    3. Disable startup secure in the BIOS and set the legacy mode
    4. Start the Intel OPROM and rebuild the matrix RAID 5
    5. Boot into the BIOS and UEFI mode
    6. Start the external HP recovery media and load the SSD drive (SSD recommended size is 240 GB or more)
    7. Once you are currently running and then go to disk management and upward and format the matrix RAID like TPG

The above procedure may or may not work, but that's what I would first try.
