Adding new partition in the table are

Hello

Oracle 9i
Windows 2003 operating system

The main entry/exit table is one of the base tables that has a large number of records and a very high success rate, and to avoid poor performance that may occur in such cases, Oracle Table partitioning technique has been examined in the early stages of the implementation of the system.

Unfortunately, the technique used to divide data based on the year of the transaction considered the year 2010 as the last specific partition, so all records created after this year is gathered in a single partition and this may cause poor performance in the years to come.

Are required to add another 10 partitions; up to the year 2020 taking into account that the downtime should be close to zero.

Ground:

According to my knowledge

for this, so we can create a new table with the same columns and add required 10 more partitions, and if we take 2 scenarios like

export/imp
insertion in the new table select * from < table > old

What is the best, and if we take exp/imp, if her take a few hours of time to complete a task... what will happen for the updates as insert, update, and delete in this time what will be the impact on the import... I mean if all committed tarnscations... These tarnscations automatically add to the table are not.

Please tell me what is the best and the tarnscations should not effect... pls tell me how excatly we can complete the task.

In my script, I have a DROP TABLE because I'll put up a reproducible demonstration. I can run the script repeatedly and regenerate the same demo data!
In your environment you would not fall off the table!
To simplify the demo for you: IGNORE the DROP TABLE command. Pretend it does not exist.

  • Added new line in the table

    Hello

I have a table inside a panelCollection. When I press the button Add a new row (plu green) the empty line newly added appears in a random place in the table, but I want to appear as the first line of the table (top of the table). How I do that?

    Thank you very much
    Will do

    Will do,

It is a weird behavior that was introduced in JDev 11.1.1.4. We fixed this in the next version by adding the new line always above the current line.

    You can do two things:
-Make sure that the size of the range of the iterator binding is greater than the number of rows displayed, in this case the new line will be created directly below the current line
-extend the JHeadstart TableBean class, override the createNewRow method and create a line in the first line

  • Functional test Oracle Forms: adding new row in the Table

    Hello

I try to create a Test Script for creating order sale to R12.  I use OpenScript Version: 12.5.0.1 Build 287

I am able to create the script for all orders with less than 9 lines.

Currently, it has more than 8 lines, the script does not work. The threshold is unable to find the object to line 9.

    "//forms:textField [(@name ='LINE_ORDERED_ITEM_DSP_" + getVar ("{{setLine}}") + "" ")] .

The reason could be, when I scroll down to line 9 in the form, I guess the name of the textfield object is changed.

If everyone faced the similar problem, please throw some light on this.

    Thank you

    Hi Guna,

You will need to provide the "maxvisiblelines" for the part of lines to BBA. This must be done at the component level. When you define a component itself, you must specify the value for maxvisiblelines

  • all rows in the table are not eligible for the specified partition

    SQL > Alter Table ABC

    SQL > Alter Table ABC

ORA-14099: all rows in the table are not eligible for the specified partition

The exchange partition works fine for the first time. However, if we try to swap the 2nd partition it gives the error.
    How to solve this error?
How can I find the lines which are not qualified for a specific part. is there a query to find out the same thing?

    >
Well, exchange of syntax and logic is not clearly as it should (IMHO). There is no element of syntax that tells Oracle we want to Exchange partition data in a table that is not partitioned or not partitioned into partition table data.
    >
What? Not sure where you got that but maybe it was before you had first cup of coffee? ;)

An "Exchange", it's just that; an Exchange. Partition data end up in the non-partitioned table and vice versa. It is meaningless and totally obsolete if "we want Exchange partition data in a table that is not partitioned or not partitioned into partition table data".
    >
It was decided by Oracle not partitioned table control. If the non-partitioned table is empty, it means you want to Exchange data partition in a non-partitioned table. And if not partitioned table is not empty, it means you want to Exchange data in the table that is not partitioned into partition.
    >
There is no decision to make. The segments are swapped. Oracle doesn't check, know or even care if one or the other or both segments are empty. 'Control' which is carried out (by default except if NO CONTROL is used) only consists of ensuring all the data in the segment intended for the partition belongs to this partition.

It is what gives the example of John. This can NEVER work if table1 is empty unless p1 is empty at the beginning:
    1 Exchange p1 with table1
    2 Exchange p2 with table1

As John explains, assuming that no other operations are trying to put the data from p1 P2 which is not possible if p1 actually contains data.

You can save it for next April 1!

It is a dynamic array, where a new line can be inserted using a button. Is that the dynamic nature of the question? ID hate to cancel all the flow dynamics and programming just to add a column, and then reapply them all.

    Thank you!

    Hello

You do not add the columns in the object > palette (screenshot 2) of the Table. I suspect that the problem is that it is not enough on the page (in the content area) to add the column. In the screenshot 1, if you look at the width of the column highlighted from the space to the right of the table, you will see that a column can be added due to restrictions of space.

Reduce the width of the column highlighted (temporarily), and then add a column. Once added, you can resize the columns to match the width of the page.

    Hope that helps,

  • Column of type BLOB in own tablespace in partition in the table, tablespace to move

    Hi all

First off I use Oracle Database 11.2.0.2 on AIX 5.3.

We have a table is partitioned on a monthly basis.

In this table, there is a partition (BOTTOM), this lower score is 1.5 TB in size thanks to a BLOB column called (ATTACHMENT).

The rest of the table is not large, about 30 GB, it's the BLOB column that uses all the space.

The lower part is in its own default tablespace (DefaultTablespace), the BLOB column in the lower score is also in its own tablespace (TABLESPACE_LOB) - 1.5 to

I was invited in order to free up space by moving the TABELSPACE_LOB (from the low partition) to a data archive, confirming the data is there and then remove the lower score of the production.

I do not have enough free space (or time) make an expdp, I think not only its doable with data so much.

    CREATE TABLE tablename
    (
      xx                          VARCHAR2(14 BYTE),
      xx                          NUMBER(8),
      xx         NUMBER,
      ATTACHMENT   BLOB,
      xx             DATE,
      xx             VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
      xx                     INTEGER,
    )
    LOB (ATTACHMENT) STORE AS (
      TABLESPACE  DefaultTablespace
      ENABLE      STORAGE IN ROW
    NOCOMPRESS
    TABLESPACE DefaultTablespace
    RESULT_CACHE (MODE DEFAULT)

    PARTITION BY RANGE (xx)
    (
PARTITION LOWER VALUES LESS THAN ('xx')
        LOGGING
        COMPRESS BASIC
        TABLESPACE DefaultTablespace
        LOB (ATTACHMENT) STORE AS (
          TABLESPACE  TABLESPACE_LOB
          ENABLE      STORAGE IN ROW
    )

    ...>>

My idea was to take a table, excluding the attachment column datapump, export using external tables.

Then to create the table on the database archive 'with' the attachment column.

Import data only, as I understand that if you use a dump file that has too many columns Oracle he will manage, I hope it will work the other way around.

Then on the production, make the TABLESPACE_LOB read-only and move it to the new file system.

It's a little more complicated that a normal gesture of tablespace because of how the table is split.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I was thinking about an approach as:

SWAP PARTITION allows to separate the partition of the table

    • Create a non-partitioned table which is otherwise identical in structure to tablename (nonpart_tablename)
    • ALTER TABLE TableName LOWER WITH nonpart_tablename SWAP PARTITION

Move the segment of the table at TABLESPACE_LOB, or to a different tablespace on its own. It is, as you say, only 30 GB and I think (but not strongly enough to go forward without testing/validation on a smaller scale) that the displacement of the segment of the table in this way does not disrupt the LOB segment, as long as you don't say MOVE LOB.

    • ALTER TABLE nonpart_tablename MOVE TABLESPACE TABLESPACE_LOB

Now the TABLESPACE_LOB tablespace is self-contained and you can make it transportable.

What are the components are used in your table? When you created the table originally, you specified as a table read-only? If your table contains components of af: outputText, then you will need either manually change components entry way, or remove the table and re-drop-the-in the form of table (not read-only)

  • How to find if the data in the table are distributed on multiple disks

    Hi all

I have a question on parallel processing.

Assume that the Oracle (11 g 2) database is installed on a 12 CPU hardware has 24 independent labels, then I guess it's that we can have a maximum of 12 DOP.

But if the table on which I use the parallel market that spans only 4 discs then the above 4 parallelism will degrade the performance of the query.

My question is how do I know if the data in the table are spread over the number of disk drives, so that we can properly apply valid parallel operations on the table.

    Appreciate your valuable contributions here.

    Thank you
    MK.

    Just think logically.
What is a table in the database? A segment.
What is a segment made up of? Scopes.
What is recorded on a scale? The id_fichier of the data file.
