Adding RAM for MacBook Pro 13 inches without retina

Hey,.

I want to buy a MacBook Pro 13 inch without retina. The description says that I can buy the version with 4 or 8 GB of RAM, but I wish I had 16, at least. Is it possible to put a 16 GB of RAM on a MacBook Pro 13 inch without retina?

Let me know, thanks!

If this is the model of non-retine of 2012, then you can install 16GBs of RAM, but not by Apple. Then buy the 4 GB model then visit OWC to buy two 8 GB modules to replace the two accompanying him.

Maximum memory (Real) 16 GB 8 GB (Apple)
Memory locations 2-204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

The above is for 2012 non - retina 13 "model.

  • 1066 MHz RAM for MacBook Pro 2012

    Hey guys!

Just registered here, I hope you can help me.

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) that shows the problems that resemble RAM errors. The 2012 version uses DDR3 1600 MHz modules.

I can get my hands on a model of 2009 with the DDR3 1066. I intend to move blocks of RAM to see if that fixes the problem with the computer of 2012.

    So my question is:

The MacBook 2012 will work with 1066 MHz RAM installed? (Provided that the RAM was the culprit, of course). If so, will there be problems other than lower performance?

    Thank you!

    Terji

MacBook Pro are very sensitive to the Ram being the correct specifications for the computer. Your computer is designed to use only the same characteristics for RAM Why would you think clock speed of 1 066 MHz RAM work in a 1600 MHz system?

2 GB is the minimum you can run with on OSX and is totally inadequate for any treatment of the image of seriousness. Max of RAM on (according to the MacBook Pro, you have, it could go up to 8 GB) and you will see a significant increase in performance.

In my experience of years in the graphic industry, extra RAM is usually a better bet that spending more money on a slightly faster processor when it comes to image processing.

Photoshop gives his best performance when he can access a lot of RAM to instead of having to swap RAM to disk frequently as it would with the big RAW files from your D7.

Another thing to keep in mind is to keep at least 10 percent of your hard drive free (minimum 10 GB) to ensure that the Mac has plenty of space for the OS to do its job, too.

  • eGPU for MacBook Pro 13 "Intel Iris retina.

    Hello

This is my first post here, although I have been using Apple products for a long time, I have seen a lot of YouTube videos on obtaining external graphics for Macs and they just connect via Port Thunderbolt and works like a charm, I was informed that an eGPU does not work on my MacBook Pro as it has Intel Graphics Iris 6100 1536 MB graphics card installed It was the company called Bizon.

The following specifications for my Mac are:

MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015).

Intel Core i5 at 2.7 GHz.

    8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3.

Intel Graphics Iris 6100 1536 MB.

Does anyone know a good eGPU Setup for my MacBook Pro?

    Kind regards

    Gagnon.

    Hello

I am using an eGPU and already several of them. First of all, I used a 2013 13 "MBPr, but switched to a 2014 15" MBPr.

First: All eGPU will work on your MB on an external monitor. Their use on in-house is more difficult, but your MB seems perfect (it takes Intel graphics card for this and Windows 8.1 or 10, OSX only external display).

    The problem would be:

-your CPU dual core is not good for games later (for example the division)

-Use of the internal display will result in a drop in performance, so it is better to use an external monitor

Skip Bizon! Build yourself an eGPU better.

  • Best case for Macbook Pro 13 inch with Retina display

I was wondering what the best case was for my purchase of a Macbook Pro 13 inch with the retina display. I am a student of the school and will walk to school with her in a compartment of my bag. It might be high everywhere, but he must be not so bulky that I also have school books. Any suggestion?

If you are specifically looking for a shell, then I recommend the INCASE ones, just go to the apple store and get my things for Mac they have a feeling of fluidity buttered and are pleasant to the touch - as the Apple trackpad - it simply snaps on and snaps off when you want off the coast.  If you are looking for a Holster, I recommend the slim sleeve incase.  It has a soft interior for your mac are not destroyed (its aluminium-what worries you - you did you buy Care, haven't you?) and has a spot for the port of loading.

    I hope this helps!

What charger for MacBook Pro (13 '' end 2011) since the megasafe 60w charger is no longer available?

Thank you very much for the help.

According to find the right power adapter and cable for your laptop Mac - Apple Support end 2011 MacBook Pro 13 "uses the following http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC461LL/A/apple-60w-magsafe-power-adapter-for-macbook-and-13-inch-macbook-pro?fnode=8b which shows it as being available (at least in the United States).

If this is not available, note that you can use an adapter of higher power such as mentioned in the following extract from the first link above:

Adaptors for Apple laptops are available in 29W, 45W, 60W and 85W varieties. You must use the adapter appropriate for your Apple laptop power supply. You can use a power adapter higher compatible without problem, but it will not collect your computer faster or work differently. Lower power adapters do not provide enough power.
