  I just got my new computer later that yesterday, when I ordered it I refused for the additional disks because I have a nice new 2 TB drive already.  Then, when I opened the file to add the new drive, I was shocked to see that there are no additional data for additional cable after the market of readers to be connected to.  Is this a common practice of HP to only give me cables for readers that I ordered?  How HP that I add additional disks?  So if I buy or recover data from my last machine cables, can someone tell me where I need to plug into the motherboard.  Although I really like the computer, I am very disappointed in fo HP not providing no additional plugged the data cables to add additional disks.

  There is no space for a second hard drive somehow "ordinary". There no second SATA slot as in the Pavilion 17 inch models or for a smaller drive of WSSD mSATA as in the Envy series. The only way to do it is to remove the optical drive (DVD burner) and install a second drive in an optical drive adapter device. Your laptop uses the slim type optical drive (9.5 mm) and this device would not work.

  Client Windows Live Family Safety currently not reported HTTPS traffic unless the web of the child, filtering mode is set to "notify on the adult.  Facebook who worked in HTTP mode has recently moved that the HTTPS site and that's the reason to not see, Facebook or any other site that is HTTPS in the progress report on Windows 7 machines.

  It is resolved in Windows 8 and activity reports should show HTTPS traffic.

  Current work around that for Windows 7 client

  -Set the mode of web filtering to ' warn on adult "- child will receive a warning message if they go to all the adult sites and the parents will be informed in the annual report if the child decides to go to the site.

  On the main page of parental control, it lists your devices.  My new PC of Windows 8 is not even though all my child accounts are configured under the supervision of the Control Panel on the PC.  Is it because they use Microsoft Accounts to connect instead of local accounts?

  Thanks for posting your question on parental controls. I understand that your computer Windows 8 did not appear in the section your devices. It is possible that you set up child accounts locally and did not sync settings in your family safety Web site by using the Manage settings in the Family Safety website. What you can do is sync it using the key and an update later.

What you can do is to reconfigure your parental control by using the new account that you have. First of all, you must disable the parental controls from your main account.

  I'm doing a fresh install of Windows XP Edition family on a new hard drive.  I get the same error message indicating that the product catalog can not be installed. I reformatted and retryed with the same result. I tried a different HARD disk, but got the same trouble. I also tried installing XP Pro after a reformat and got the same error. The first error window says "the signature for the family Windows XP Setup is not valid. The error code is fffffc0d", and the second says" error: the system cannot find message for message number 0xfffffc0d text in the file for syssetup.dll fatal error messages: Setup failed to install the product catalogs.   Is your Mac faster when near the time Capsule, when in the living room?  There is a good chance, with a local access point will help.

  When you look at the WiFi menu bar icon.  You have full bars (good), or is it partial (perhaps a repeater would help)?

  If you have more than 100megabits per second, you want to have a router with 802.11ac protocols up-to-date and a newer Mac with 802.11ac support.

  This requires that you are the only consumer of your ISP connection.  If you share with your family, and there are lots of type YouTube and Netflix streaming, so your Mac doesn't have to have 802.11ac, but you don't want to a fast router in support of all the other devices sharing the bandwidth.  In this case a 2nd access point connected via ethernet can help share the problems of band radio bandwidth.

  I have access to 5 GHz 802.11ac very cheap $10 point (not a router), I take with me.  I plug it into the ethernet port on the hotel or a router condo rented for give me a channel which is not sung from neighboring access points and shared connections.  I find that the hotel WiFi is often low, and you share the connection with a ton of other guests.  In a rented condo, you have tons of other condos all competing for 2.4 GHz channels (co-owners often get a cheap router 2.4 GHz 802.11 g, so everyone tries to find a channel not used).  Having my own 5 GHz WiFi access point means that I have no need to fight with others for bandwidth and the right channels.

  Just thought I'd pass that along.  And the wireless diagnostic tests are a great way to find out what the competition is where you stay.
