  I just installed Windows Server 2012. After you have added the DNS and Active Directory functions/roles on the server, I noticed that the Active Directory service is not running, but it is disabled.   When I try to add a new user if user (connected to active directory) when I type accounts manage user accounts, it hangs it loads for more than 5 minutes. Then, when I try to add a new user, he is suspended for another 5 minutes, then I can choose the type of account (Standard or Admin) it hangs for more than twenty minutes. Then the following error message appears:

• After logon Windows 7 my PC starts but displays the directed message "unable to connect to a windows service.

  Unable to connect to the internet or home network. Cannot 'see' router, although only connected by LAN & Wireless N adapter (even if the wireless adapter has stopped working since the problem occurred).  Router is fine as I can connect the laptop to wireless internet and LAN. The PC is very slow and the glass on the toolbar icons have been replaced by the standard version. Most of the software on the PC runs but I can't access to things like the event log.

  Running SCF / Scannow. CHKDSK and made a complete analysis with Zone Alarm Extreme Security which none have discovered something wrong. I wonder if it is a virus on Board that is not windows & cannot be treated within MSDOS.  If this is the case how get Zone Alarm to sweep to the back?

  My system is 64 bit, with Intel CORE I7 clocked at 2.8 GHz, 8 GB RAM & 2x1.5TB disks in a RAID 1 (mirror) configuration.

  You can check if System Event Notification Service is enabled and set to automatic.

  
  Steps to follow:

  1. click on start, select run and type services.msc

  2. scroll down until you find System Event Notification Service and make sure that it is running and set to automatic.

  Also make sure Remote Procedure Call following the same steps above.

  3. restart your computer.

• The identity of the AD service: remove or disable users who are not?

  We currently have set users to be 'disabled', but then he must remember periodically go and delete them manually. It also creates problems with duplicate user names. Do you automatically remove your users? I have always been concerned that if something goes wrong with a synchronization then all of my users would be deleted.

  We had the same problem here, so I wrote an external operation that is grafted on to the user synchronization job and remove disabled users more than X number of days. For example, in our case, users are deleted after 180 days of being disabled (it's a little extreme). This way you can offer you a few days before that the users are actually deleted, but keep the automated process. There are a few options integrated, which should be visible from the source code.   Hi all

  I was responsible for developing the integration of GBA with MS AD. What I want to know is below assuming I have a software ACS or ACS device and the authentication protocol's RADIUS

  -What is the criterion of the announcement to integrate with ACS to device software

  -Should that AD hosted on the domain controller or not?

  -Otherwise, on what (DC, tree, forest, branch, flower, Fruit) the announcement must be hosted on?

  -What should I do to authenticate users logging into Cisco ACS Security Manager integrated with AD?

  -Are there other dependencies that I'll have to speak categorically in my description?

  I'm trying to integrate Cisco ACS 5.4.0.46 with AD and I connected successfully GBA to AD and I used as a successful AD authentication for network devices but my problem now is that anyone with an AD account can connect to network devices that compromises security. I created a group in AD that I would use and I added the group under users and identity stores > external identity stores > Active Directory > groups directory. I also chose source of identity for Default Device Admin as AD1 and under the authorization, an authorization policy that uses a compound condition that uses AD1 and the custom group. However after you have set all that I am still able to connect to the switch with a user not in the custom group. Based on what I have explained to you can someone tell me if Miss me a step?

  Thanks for the update and the fence wire. Set default default rules to deny access when user legimitate if does not match a rule set by the administration of the CSA he should get denied access. In your case, it has been updated a permit so that both type of users access (members and non-members of ad groups).

• How and when are ESXi 5.1 Services identified as (Active Directory) - they used?

  I tried to find documentation for the three ESX5.1 services to understand when they should be or should be used, but have found nothing to help.

  I have several 5.1 ESXi hosts managed by vCenter 5.1 (with SSO of course), as well as Active Directory configured as an identity Service.

  In addition, I joined the hosts ESXi 5.1 for the Active Directory domain to allow AD authentication for host management direct when necessary.

  It all works well, however, there are three Active Directory related services that are stopped, so I'm trying to determine if they should really be executed to perform certain functions that are not obvious to me at the moment.

  The three services are:

  • Local security authentication server (Active Directory Service)
  • Server connection network (Active Directory Service)
  • I/o Redirector (Active Directory Service)

  I believe that some or all of these services are related to the integration of the 'same' in ESXi, but this does not really explain what they are doing, especially since I see no problems with authentication.

  OK, I answered my own question. Turns out that I had a confusing situation because I didn't have to reboot the host after the join domain operation.

  Now, all three services are started with the parameter 'Start and Stop with Host.

  So, while I have not seen any specific documents, it is clear enough, that these services are designed to run after the junction, that make sense.

  I installed vCenter Orchestrator 5.1.1 and have successfully registered with SSO. If I try to connect via the "Test connection" tab on the site web of vCO Configuration, I get a message saying 'user successfully connected '.   This problem is now resolved. I added our source of advertising identity to the list of default domains via the web client of vSphere in 'Administration - Sign-On and discovery - Configuration '. Then I rebooted the vCO and vCO Server Configuration Server in the web Configuration Orchestrator console in "Startup Options". I was then able to connect via the Orchestrator client.

  I recently bought the Satellite A500 with the offer included Windows7 while he was available late October 09.

  (1) did you check the Configuration of the Service for this service? The Boot System Event Notification Service type must always be set to automatic. This service is absolutely necessary for Windows and shouldn't t be disabled or set to manual startup type.
  Check it!

  (2) to be honest I never heard on the internet BEFORE, but normally, it should also be possible to access the Internet with Windows 7.
  Make sure that the WLAN or LAN card is installed properly and check the TCP/IP settings. If you are missing some driver you can get on the page of Toshiba.
