  • Adobe Muse (2014.3) function 'Add Web fonts' does not not as expected - newly added fonts become unavailable as derivative

    Hello.

    This has also been posted in the community: forum Adobe Muse Bugs.

    I had some odd/irregular problems but they have now become fairly predictable in nature. The question is regarding Adobe Muse (2014.3) and the availability of the web fonts provided through the functionality of the applications 'Add Web fonts '. Once added to perform as expected, then they become "unavailable." Details below. Was a complete creative cloud Subscriber for a few years, so I am quite familiar with the way the system works less some problems that have arisen at the time, including.

    System information:

    Adobe Creative Cloud (full subscription): Version 1.9.1.474

    Adobe Muse: Version 2014.3

    OS X Yosemite: 10.10.2

    Here's a summary of what took place. I will detail the bug as best as I can.

    1. creation of new Adobe Muse project. Everything is normal.

    2. has chosen to add a new font using the function 'Add Web fonts' in the Muse. A note, my creative application of cloud's race / open at all times (in the mode of file synchronization).

    3. has chosen the new fonts to help above. Everything seemed well (see screenshots below).

    Screen Shot 2015-04-03 at 8.53.05 AM.pngScreen Shot 2015-04-03 at 8.53.31 AM.png

    4 fonts were also indicated as being "synchronized" in Creative Cloud (screenshot below).

    Screen Shot 2015-04-03 at 8.56.12 AM.png

    5. as expected, the two fonts have been added to the list of available within the Muse Web fonts (first screenshot below - left). I added the successfully on my site. Well after that a number of hours, I went back to the same menu of selection of fonts within the Muse and the fonts was still visible but the submenu that you'd expect showing various forms (bold, italic, etc.) was not available. In a sense the police could not be selected in the list even if the name is clearly visible second screenshot below - right).

    Muse_font.pngScreen Shot 2015-04-03 at 8.54.39 AM.png

    Have no idea what can be wrong. Saved the Project Muse, closed, and then reopened - nothing has changed. Created new project - fonts always menu 'shows', but cannot be used. Find a vague description by using Google to a similar problem (different application) which recommended Creative Cloud Desktop App closing and reopening as a possible solution. It WORKED at first, but the problem, well fixed for a period of time (a few hours at most), will reappear again where we would see once again still not being able to choose two Web fonts. Went up to the Cloud to uninstall then reinstall Desktop creative application. Still not solved the problem.

    Any thoughts as to what this may be would be welcome. Restart the CC application whenever fonts are no longer available is quite a lot of time for my workflow.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for confirming. Yes, we are aware that some users are facing this problem, but have not been able to replicate this internally. We're going to keep studying.

  • I've updated to the last muse cc, when I use web fonts edge in design, they work perfectly, but when I discovered them in preview mode, they are replaced by the police without serif.

    need help

    Are you extract it Muse or HTML file exported, When you're off line?

    If this is not the case, then please provide a URL for your site (stable) online, or a screenshot of your page in browser or Muse .

    If so, then let me explain a difference of business and legal.

    The Typekit font collection is a constantly growing catalog of Adobe and Typekit that you pay your subscription to Adobe CC . Fonts Web Edge are just an extra 'free service' by Typekit, using most of the fonts online Google is kindly serving and the maintenance of the domain open source, free. So, for the edge of the Web, fonts Typekit is just a 'bridge' to these policies of Google open source.

    Now technically, when you remember a page in Muse with paid Typekit fonts, Adobe CC automatically download and save a version (a little protected) of the local police. So when you're offline, Typekit fonts is always present and available for previewing. Your page refers to a resource stored police locally. But when you use a free Fonts Web Edge, Muse is legally not allowed to automatically download and store such a policy of source open for you. Your page refers to a font resource online !

    That a solution might be to go to Google Fontsand download the entire police family, you need and start using them in Muse as fonts 'self hosted' (perfectly legally, you have the right to do). So the fonts will be also included as resources copied to your web folder, locally and online.

  • Problems with self-hosted web fonts

    Then I applied a web font self-hosted on my site and it worked. But recently in some browsers the police did not evidence, instead of it being replaced by helvetica or some other standard web fonts. Why would she do that? I tried to clear my browser cache and it doesn't work. It also happens to some of the people visiting my site which is a huge problem.

  • Site Web fonts: Roboto

    Hello.

    I am a web on Android and I have the problem that is not on Typekit Roboto... In any case to get Muse export as web fonts, and not like the picture?

    Concerning

    Dahmark,

    It doesn't have to be toolkit you can use fonts google on Muse. You must be able to get to the CSS of Muse file to include a line of code.

    It is not on typekit to Adobe because it is owned by google - not Adobe - to answer your question. It was designed by Christian Robertson, who works at google. It of free because google owns and has decided to give away for free. Google has property rights to it, it is not free as public domain.

    Here are the steps to follow, 1-4, in order to integrate the code so that you can use in Muse:
    https://www.Google.com/fonts#UsePlace: Use / Collection: Roboto

    You can also download the font itself and Muse will be PNG, but you said that you do not want this. But if you do, you don't need to integrate anywhere, any code.  Click the arrow next to the icon link, top right of the page https://www.google.com/fonts#UsePlace: use / Collection: Roboto

    Good luck.

  • If I use a web font in my Web site can I use the same font for documents printed such as company car

    I'm a graphic designer who intends to design a portfolio Web site in Adobe Muse. I intend to use TypeKit web fonts to design my Web site. On the Web site completioin, I have plan to design business cards and my CV to match the look of my site. I would use the same fonts I've used on the Web site. Is it possible to use web fonts for printing purposes? If this is not the case, what usually people do in this situation. The last thing I want to do is use a font that "similar" to those used on my site.

    Hi redsoxfan15b,

    (I think I can have answered your ticket of Support of Typekit earlier today, but I'll post here the same information to be certain).

    We have recently added a new feature to Typekit that can sync your desktop fonts and use them in print design. The announcement on our Web site has more details:

    http://blog.Typekit.com/2014/01/16/the-fonts-you-love-from-Typekit-now-on-your-desktop/

    Font sync is available on any portfolio Typekit, Performance or Business plan.  Here is a list of all available fonts to use the Office to:

    https://Typekit.com/fonts?licenses=desktop

    We continue to pay more of the library to use the desktop, but for now, you must confirm the police you want it available for both web and desktop.  And if there is a font you want to use is not available for desktop synchronization, you can also buy a license directly from the foundry.

    I hope this helps; Let me know if you have any other questions!  Best,

    -liz

  • Using your own web fonts and not of TypeKit

    Hey Adobe!

    I have to say first off, that muse has changed myself the way I am on the design of web sites. I can now create and deploy large Web sites easily on my own with little or no coding experience. It's invaluable to me. Muse is a game changer for me and it was one of the best pieces of software I have used in many many years. So thanks to give developers the tools to be technical without being technical.

    On my feature request:

    webfonts.png

    As a graphic designer, I have a taste for typography. I have many of my own web fonts. I understand TypeKit has many characters available fonts, but none of them is enough. It is not acceptable to have to settle for a substitute font.

    Adobe Muse MUST have a feature for these creators who own their own web fonts so that they can design and build Web pages with their characters of choice. I understand Adobe must want customers to go to the selection of TypeKit, and I am sure that most of the users use this option. However, for users like me, who focus on every detail - like fonts, it's a critical missing element. The lack of this feature, I'm back in the box start not being able to find any software out there that's 1, easy to use, 2, purely based design and 3, allows you to use your own web fonts.

    I know Dreamweaver and many other WYSIWYG there editors allow me to personalize everything I wish including @font-face rule, but again, I'm a designer - my brain don't think that in the code. That is why Muse is the only option for me.

    So, Adobe, I know you love deeply your software and your customers as well. I am sure that you will take this feature request seriously. I'm not alone to this added feature. Many people on these forums Muse ask about this feature as well. I am asking nicely, nicely begging and pleading kindly that consider you this feautre with your team. , This would mean a lot if you could reply back so we can have an open discussion on this topic. I care too much success on Muse - I am an enthusiast of the it.

    Thanks a lot for your time and your consideration.

    Dustin

    Hello

    Adobe Muse CC 20141 (published earlier today) supports self-hosted web fonts. To use a specific font in your Muse site, you will need to install the font system (an appropriate license to use desktop) and provide the files to corresponding web fonts (a license appropriate for use on a Web site).

    Try it and tell us if you need help or have problems.

  • any advice on web fonts...

    I met another project where my web fonts just stop work and return to another random font.

    I am the imported project DPS and I'm getting the promlem with the html file and the MCO.

    I appreciate it is a very vague post, but are there know issues, or workaround solutions, all have problems with fonts defaulting to something else?

    see you soon

    Alistair

    If I had a brain, I would be dangerous, well at least a brain with a memory...

    see this since last October, I forgot.

    Hi Alistair,.

    Embedding the fonts took me some time to understand, but here you go:

    1: open http://www.fontsquirrel.com/ and select generator @font-face in the menu bar.

    2: select + add fonts and select the fonts you need to download (make sure that you have a license to use your fonts), and make sure that the agreement is selected.

    3: click on the button 'download your kit '.

    4: you should now have a folder in your downloads folder containing your fonts and a file called "spreadsheets.css". Rename this folder and name it "fonts." Drag your folder fonts in your on-board record animate.

    5: Open the CSS file and add the following code to css "BOLD" in the title of each of your fonts. (You will need to modify it according to your i.e. fonts font family name, color etc.)

    Should look like this:

    {@font-face}

    do-family: 'as32_agate_sansregular ';

    SRC: url('gdnagasantwoas32reg-webfont.eot');

    SRC: url('gdnagasantwoas32reg-webfont.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'),

    URL('gdnagasantwoas32reg-webfont.woff') format ('woff'),

    URL('gdnagasantwoas32reg-webfont.ttf') format ('truetype'),

    URL('gdnagasantwoas32reg-webfont.svg#as32_agate_sansregular') format ('svg');

    make-weight: normal;

    make-style: normal;

    }

    . ClassName {}

    do-family: ' as32_agate_sansregular ", Arial;

    do-size: 12px;

    color: #353535;

    }

    6: Open your Edge file, open the 'Library' and press the symbol beside the police. This opens a window "Add Web police". Back to the CSS file and copy the "name of font family' and paste it in the top box.

    7: copy and paste the following code in the box below:

    8: Press add fonts and tah daa you added your policy.

    Hope that helps!

    Chris

  • Adding a font in the fonts environment preferences.

    I would like to set the font for the Source window to linedraw.ttf, I added that police in system32, but it does not appear as an option in the preferences of environmental policies.  What should I do?

  • How Typekit Web fonts in Muse

    There are 1572 on Typekit font families, but I can only select 269 families of fonts to add web fonts in Muse. This means that only 269 off 1572 are web fonts? Or is there another reason why I can't access fonts 1572 full on Muse?

    Unfortunately, at this time, Muse supports only web fonts Latin of the Typekit library. The large number of glyphs in far East fonts require additional capacity (e.g. dynamic subsetting) that are not supported by Typekit kits created by Muse.

    Hello Dutchybert,

    You must ensure that you do not use any other font on the page. You can use several fonts but not missing fonts.

    There is probably a box/image/text that you forgot to change the font.

    Be sure to use web fonts that are in your font library.

    I hope this helps

  • Why web fonts not display correctly in Safari, please?

    Hello

    I'm just new to Muse, it's a great tool.

    But I always correct web fonts appear both in Chrome and in preview, but not in Safari (9.0.3). Someone knows how to fix this?

    This is the step most easy you think Muse: just choose the command or click the button in the upper right.
