• Adobe Edge Web fonts comparison?

  Newbie here in the design of websites (html, css, js), DW CC and edge fonts.  Is there a "font finder" for fonts Web Adobe Edge?  I found the viewfinder of the regular police, but nothing for the policies on board.

  I would do a comprison by-side several fonts to web edge for a header instead of trial and error in a field name of the Web site for example.  If it isn't an automatic font outline please recommend an easy way to achieve this-in simple terms please.  It's late and I don't know it's looking me right in the face, but for the life of me I don't see.

  Carey response is the only way that edge Web Fonts are currently supported.  We have a fix for the problem in the next version, but it is not available through the dialog box 'Add fonts' at the moment.

  I am a newbie to Dreamweaver and am trying to learn to use it through the tutorials. I am stuck at part 3, try to use Web Adobe Edge fonts correctly in my web site. I can say that I followed the instructions in the tutorial correctly, but the effect of font style is not displayed on my site. I work on a Windows 7 machine and using Dreamweaver 5.5. I copied and pasted the javascript code in the correct point in the head of the index.html page that included the font family name in the CSS file and saved the whole smash. The source code of my index page looks exactly like the sample in the tutorial, and I tried see my site in my browser, but no dice. Does not display the Web dashboard font style in the web page. I think I did everything following the directions, but I guess I missed a detail. All suggestions greatly appreciated

  A simple way to get the correct codes is to go to Adobe Edge Web fonts and select the font you want to use.

  NOTE: You will not see the custom web fonts displayed in Design, Live View mode, or when you preview locally unless you use a local test server.  An easier way to test is by downloading the page on your remote server.

  During the download of my site to my FTP host, I get "error: could not generate code to activate one or several web fonts on the page 'Hand'." [Error 403: no Typekit access] "in spite of not having used Typekit fonts and booked on the Web fonts. How would I fix this? I want to use InDesign so my visitors can select text and so I chose the fonts that I like. All fonts used in my site are Adobe Edge Web fonts supplied with Muse.

  I have a school license that does not include Typekit.

  I am running the latest version of CC Adobe Muse on Windows 8.1.

  Try to disconnect and reconnect to CC.

• Edge missing in Dreamweaver Web fonts

  I have a Mac Pro OS 10.10.1 and Dreamweaver CC was last updated. When I click on manage fonts, Adobe Edge Web fonts do not appear. There is just a field of top search under the words, "Edge Web Fonts give you access... "A list of items left invite me to search for the best fonts for headings, paragraphs, etc. According to the tutorial, the whole box must be filled with fonts. Any ideas?

  I found the solution when I was browsing the forums. The problem is with the file system on mac or DW, reading of files. We had the disk named "zeus" and in the first folder level called 'zeus '. This causes bad paths for css and fonts has not loaded.

  AHA! Thank you for the info - two, I think that we understand the problem now.  I filed a bug here: https://github.com/adobe/brackets-edge-web-fonts/issues/45

  Here is a workaround if you want to test:

  1. Open the following folder:
     • Under Windows, go to your installation location, then www\extensions\defaukt\EdgeWebFonts\nls
     • On the Mac, right click on the application and choose the content of the package.  Then go to content/www/extensions/defaults/EdgeWebFonts/sln
  2. Open the "strings.js" file (you can use the edge Code or any other text editor)
  3. Remove the line that says 'from': real
  4. Restart the Edge Code

  Edge Web Fonts ... where can I get these or view them... I see that I can get them in MUSE, but I do not use Muse... I use Wordpress, Joomla and Dreamweaver... I see in typekit there are a bunch of fonts, but none of them are edge Web fonts... I'm whole creative cloud membership so I do not have access to commercial Typekit fonts... How can I get the script for Edge Web Fotns... code so I can use it in my site? I am familiar with the following site: http://www.edgefonts.com/ but it does not give the script tag to use... or a login... looks like its just general info... I guess that there is an app or a service that is to TypeKit, but at the edge of the Web fonts?

  7guavas the link you placed is very intensive and manual work how to use Typekit fonts in Muse. It took before Muse 2015.0. In Muse 2015.0, there is now a built-in support for browsing and using Typekit fonts in the Add Web Fonts UI of Muse.

  There are several possible causes for previews of Web fonts do not load. The most common can be corrected by restarting your computer or by killing the task of 'CCLibraries' in the Manager of tasks (on Windows) or activity (on Mac) monitor. CC libraries team working on an update to fix the problem. (Note that it is end/normal for the CCLibraries process to automatically restart later and does not impede the use of Typekit and/or Business Catalyst, once restarted).

  The Typekit font collection is a constantly growing catalog of Adobe and Typekit that you pay your subscription to Adobe CC . Fonts Web Edge are just an extra 'free service' by Typekit, using most of the fonts online Google is kindly serving and the maintenance of the domain open source, free. So, for the edge of the Web, fonts Typekit is just a 'bridge' to these policies of Google open source.

  Now technically, when you remember a page in Muse with paid Typekit fonts, Adobe CC automatically download and save a version (a little protected) of the local police. So when you're offline, Typekit fonts is always present and available for previewing. Your page refers to a resource stored police locally. But when you use a free Fonts Web Edge, Muse is legally not allowed to automatically download and store such a policy of source open for you. Your page refers to a font resource online !

  That a solution might be to go to Google Fontsand download the entire police family, you need and start using them in Muse as fonts 'self hosted' (perfectly legally, you have the right to do). So the fonts will be also included as resources copied to your web folder, locally and online.
