Additional location under /Oracle and models

Hello

Can anyone tell me any documentation explaining how to request records additional org under /Oracle when you create a new workspace?
I opened a MyHelp SR and they pointed me to this forum.

In addition, I read the How To on the workspace templates. Is there more information on how to implement these?
Ideally, each time that a member of my group creates a new workspace, I want that they have the same model, set up our requirements.

Thank you
Mark

When you have write us on [email protected] and we can get the process started.

    If I'm not mistaken you use ICA scanner. This 'Still Prompt pages' option is not available for ICA scans from now. But we are working on that, and will soon be available. I'll put you once its available.

    For now please try the TWAIN driver.

  • Why do we establish oinstall under the main group of oracle and grid users?

    IM and RDBMS version: 11.2.0.4

    Platform: RHEL/OL 6.5

    Why do we set oinstall under the main group for OS proprietary oracle software and grid?

    I would say "The Central stock" is the watchword here.

    orainstall is actually called the "oraInventory group." Member of (oracle and grid) users who belong to this group must read, write and execute privileges on the directory Central inventory which will serve as a catalogue of all oracle related software installed on the server. Whenever users put oracle or grid to level, the patches from the software they own, they should be able to update the respective news in this catalogue.

    Hi Moh
    Looks like you have installed version 1.7 of the JDK for working with WebLogic, which must also be 10.3.6 If you use 11.1.1.6. There is a known bug around the use of Java with WebLogic 1.7 and you will need to install JDK 1.6 and change the configuration of WebLogic use 1.6 instead of 1.7. There is no need to uninstall 1.7. The reason I know it is that this just happened to me that I was preparing to write a chapter for the discoverer of new 11g manual.

    First of all, you need to get the JDK 1.6. I used 1.6.0_32 JDK I found here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk-6u32-downloads-1594644.html

    Then, make sure that all your services are stopped. You must stop WebLogic Node Manager too.

    Then to come and install the JDK 1.6. If you're using Windows, it will probably install in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_32 so make a note of the location because you must edit the file called setDomainEnv. In Windows, this is an extenstion of cmd while under Linux and Unix, there a sh extenstion.

    Now, you change the file mentioned to force WebLogic to use the JDK 1.6 instead of JDK 1.7. You must change the section that starts with SUN_JAVA_HOME =. There you will find 2 references for the JDK. To help you, here's what mine looked like before I made the change (to change lines are in bold):

    SUN_JAVA_HOME = "" * C: / Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0_04* ""
    export SUN_JAVA_HOME

    If ["${JAVA_VENDOR}" = "Oracle"]; then
    JAVA_HOME = "${BEA_JAVA_HOME}".
    Export JAVA_HOME
    on the other
    If ["${JAVA_VENDOR}" = "Sun"]; then
    JAVA_HOME = "${SUN_JAVA_HOME}".
    Export JAVA_HOME
    on the other
    JAVA_VENDOR = 'Sun '.
    export JAVA_VENDOR
    JAVA_HOME = "" * C: / Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0_04* ""
    Export JAVA_HOME
    FI
    FI

    With that done, you should be able to restart everything.

    One more thing to note is that your client side Java must also not be 1.6 and 1.7. Once again there is no need to uninstall 1.7 If you have 1.6. Just go ahead and install the JSE 1.6. You will need change Java properties in Control Panel to tell Windows to use. Essentially, you disable 1.7. Here's a quick workflow:

    1. Start Control Panel
    2. double-click on Java
    3. on the Java tab, click on the button display
    4. If you see Java active 1.7 uncheck it then make sure you have active 1.6
    5. click on the OK button to save - your machine local willl now use 1.6 even though 1.7 is installed as well

    Best wishes
    Michael

  • zip file to create diagrams for Oracle and Oracle Discoverer Portal

    Hello everyone.

    Im trying to install WebLogic for forms and reports under linux,
    I need the zip file to create diagrams for Oracle and Oracle Discoverer Portal
    to run the rcu scrip.

    Can someone send me the link where I can find it?

    Thanks to advanced & happy new year to all.

    If you are a developer of FMw 11 g installation, you need not configure the portal or the discoverer, unless of course you plan to use these products.

    When I installed and configured the FMw 11 g, I followed the * how to install Fusion Middleware 11 g forms and reports only [854117.1 ID] * (available via My Oracle Support). WLS and FMw share the Directory Home of Middleware. I accepted directories default installation (\Oracle\Middleware\) and WLS installed in \Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3 and FMw installed at \Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_PFRD, and the Instance of forms at \Oracle\Middleware\instances\ft_inst. More Doc ID 854117.1, I chose only the following for installation in step "configure the components:

    • Server - Oracle Forms and Oracle reports components
    • Developer - Oracle Forms Builder and Oracle report builder tools
    • Management components - Enterprise Manager
    • The system - Oracle HTTP Server components

    IM thinking I have need save the fmx in a directory of this tree and also the FMAS and configure ther formsweb agreeing with that.

    It is not necessary. All you have to do is add the Variable environment of FORMS_PATH (EV) and include the directory where your files .fmb and .fmx will be created. This EV indicates forms where to find your forms Modules and libraries of forms (.pll/.plx) you can use in your forms.

    The usefulness of the repository creation (RCU), you can download it here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11-download-092893.html
    Just scroll down for the * @ section additional software required and there is a separate download.

  • What is the difference between oracle and peoplesoft databases

    What is the difference between oracle and peoplesoft databases. How the tables of metadata between the two relate?

    According to my understanding, peoplesoft database exists as a schema on the oracle database.
    Please correct me if iam wrong.

    user4212454 wrote:

    The second statement, I realized that each schema created its specific use.
    for example, peoplesoft had 1000 objects (including the peopletools and application and system tables), each schema created above has access restrictions different on these database of 1000 objects. Am I wrong?

    Yes, each schema has its own purpose and the grant for objects of Peoplesoft. SYSADM is the owner of the objects of Peoplesoft with all rights. PS is the owner of one and same table, PSDBOWNER and the PEOPLE is granted to select three of these tables (PSOPRDEFN and PSACCESSPRFL PSDBOWNER).

    In addition, for DB2, what are the patterns of PeopleSoft?

    It is located in the installation documentation dedicated to the database you want to work on:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E15742_01/PSFT/HTML/docset.html

    The first statement, could you please elaborate on the part highlighted.

    A "Peoplesoft database" is nothing, it's terms to refer to a database containing everything you need to make a Peoplesoft application running.

    Hello dogsandcats,
    Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    I understand your message that you are not able to activate location Services within the parameters of security and privacy on your Mac. I know how it is important for you to be able to turn on location Services. When you go to System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, make sure you click on the padlock at the bottom left and type your admin password. Then you should be able to turn on location Services.

    On location in OS X and Safari Services

    Activation of location Services

    Follow these steps to turn on location services in Mountain Lion OS X or later

    1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu.
    2. Click the Privacy & Security icon in the System Preferences window.
    3. Click the Privacy tab.
    4. If the icon of padlock in the lower left corner is locked (), click on it and enter an admin name and password to unlock ().
    5. Select location Services.
    6. Check the box "enable location services".

    Best regards.

    Hi Cedric,

    Thanks for reporting this.  I connected a bug on this issue.

    It seems that this problem occurs whenever a view references another view.

    If the 4.0.3 version works for you, you probably better to stick with that until this problem is resolved.

    This is exactly the problem. You should not add an application module in a project (demo in your case), which has a webroot.

    You must create a new project and add request module in this new project. Then, you use the module of the application as you would normally to the data control.
