addons page displays white text on white background

I'm legally blind. It became a never-ending struggle to get Firefox to display the colors correctly. I use the black contrast theme. and Firefox is configured to display white text on black background. Recently, I needed to adjust the color for unvisited links. I could not because the colors of the palette are all black. I found a solution here to switch the State of (I think) browwser.treference.inconfig. This gave me the screen options of old back and it worked. Now, I can't go back because the screen addons and about: config white text on white background.

    I thought immediately that a plugin/addon to the culprit. So I reset Firefox (Firefox coming stock) and tried the same webpage (plain Firefox here) and got the same result!

    So I tried to run in Mode safe and all of a sudden, everything seemed ok. Then I tried standard mode (still plain vanilla) and yet again got the problem. So I guess that something is wrong with the default configurations in Firefox. Since then, I reinstalled a few plugins while Googling for a solution. No idea how to fix this?

    Try disabling Direct2D by setting the pref gfx.direct2d.disabled true on the subject: config page and leave hardware acceleration enabled otherwise.

    You can try to create a new Boolean pref on the topic: config page and set its value to true

    This way you still have the advantage of hardware acceleration, but can not suffer rendering problems.

    If this doesn't help then you can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you will need to close and restart Firefox).

    Hello I have a HP Pavilion 2 10 x and it has a very annoying problem. The screen flashes randomly especiall when the value in a low bringhtness setting. Pages with white backgrounds are much more noticeable, but still the screen flickers. Tried to disable Intel HD graphics of economy but still the problem of power is there.

    any ideas?

    It sparkles connected and disconnected and on AC or power... sometimes it stops for 30-40 seconds but after awhile, it starts to Flash again.

    Anbybody another thing with this problem?

    Looks like a defective Panel then, get it replaced.
