• "smart" address bar is no longer work.

  I used to be able to type a phrase in the address bar and firefox would automatically work out where I wanted to go (for example facebook to www.facebook.com; ISO 14001 wiki went to the wikipedia article for ISO 14001). Now, when I try this I have AVG page of search results.

• Address bar is no longer enabled when opening blank tab

  Since today, when I open a new tab (be it with ctrl + T or by clicking on the Green over a symbol), the address bar is no longer enabled, which means that I have to click it before you start typing. When I have about: newtab (the one with the tiles and the search bar) as a page by default (in browser.newtab.url), I can get to the search bar by pressing Tab, but this isn't what I want anyway. I tried to change the browser.newtab.url to about: white tips of a different issue, but it has not changed anything.

  I didn't install anything, except perhaps a small number of libraries (Linux updated) automatic, but there is nothing that says firefox it as far as I can remember.

  If you have the Tile tabs extension, it happens to cause this problem. But version 13.1 released today resolves the problem.

  If you do not tile tabs but you have other extensions or themes, one of them might be the cause.

• Downs Spry menu horizontal bar drop no longer works?

  My apologies if my terminology is wrong, I'm new to the Web design.

  The menu bar horizontal Spry drop downs worked well in IE8/9, Firefox and Chrome, and the image below the menu bar has dropped about half inch in IE6/7.  It has been suggested that I have add overflow: hidden to my css as the container for the menu collapsed.  Now, the menu bar is still there, but the drop downs do not work in Chrome or Firefox.  They are good in IE8.  If I withdraw the statement, the drop-down list appear, but I'll be back 1/2 "gap.

  The only other thing I changed was that the image had a 40px margin as it was the only way I could achieve a gap between it and the menu bar.  Once I put the overflow: hidden in that statement was a huge gap so I removed it.

  After I erased my story a couple of days, I noticed that the address bar AutoComplete funtion not working. I have visited many sites since then and yet they do not upward, nor my favorites. In 'preferences' Firefox, privacy, I selected "History and bookmarks" to the address bar.
  I tried to use Firefox in safe mode, but the problem was also present in safe mode.

  One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

  Turn off the Suggestions of Safari in the preferences/Safari/search / uncheck Safari Suggestions.
