Address bar keeps jumping and rolling

Hi people,

A problem a friend has:

Medion laptop
About 3 years
Windows 7
IE9

Laptop is certainly not overloaded.
Photo & music she transfers to an external hard drive as soon as it finishes work on/with them
CCleaner each month
OK AV, no virus

Have all the details of the system, but can get them so important.

Prbl description:

No changes to the computer at the start of prbl, nothing installed, uninstalled...
Start the computer, it gets a black screen, you would normally get with a dual boot to make a choice.
No dual boot - enter gets it into Windows 7
Ok office
At the time where it goes into Windows Explorer or IE (anything with an address bar), the address bar shows a life of its own.
He opens his own and keeps opening again and again, jumping very quickly.
With esc you can stop it for a while (this is the solution that I gave him for the moment).
But then it starts again.
Because it uses the touchscreen tablet, I tried to connect a mouse disconnect the key on the keyboard to see if there was a problem with the touchpad > no joy...
I did a system restore to a date there was no the prbl > no joy
I don't even know if it's a hardware or software prbl
It smells like a bad contact somewhere (hardware?), but the fact that I can stop it with esc points more to the software...

Someone has already experienced this?
All possible solutions?
He has a record of overlay on D: but I didn't go too far before you know more about it...

Thank you and grts
Nothingness

If it is not in safe mode, I'd be inclined to think, it's probably a driver issue. Try to uninstall/reinstall the drivers for the mouse/descent alignment pad.

  • Since the update to version 27.0b2 on Win8.1 x 64 my buttons extension (on my address bar) keep changing positions whenever I start Fx.

As I said, version 27.0b1 worked very well. But once I upgraded to 27.0b2, the icons of the extension (buttons) on my address bar would automatically change position and sometimes even go MIA! (will not be displayed even)! Whenever I have customize and drag the icons in position, it stays that way until I close Fx and then restart. Then the same problem occurs.

This exact behavior also happens with the 28 all night (Australis) that I have on another PC. Which affected the devs with this update from 27.0b2? It's driving me crazy. Can someone please help?

On my system: Win 8.1 (64-bit). Only the profile of Fx (default). I have not recently installed any new plugins or extensions.

Best is to check the problems caused by a corrupted in such cases localstore.rdf file.

Note that the installation of the toolbar is maintained in a pref (browser.uiCustomization.state) Australis.

Note that Aurora is currently Firefox 28.0a2 and the Nightly build with 29.0a1 Australis.

Australis is very different from that of the previous layout of the toolbar and many extensions will get broken.

  • Keyboard's weird and URL disappears from the address bar

Recently, I had to reinstall Windows 7 on my computer and had to reinstall Firefox. Since the new reinstall I have two strange problems in Firefox.

    1. the keyboard or keys jump a lot from the window of the address bar in FF, and it usually does not allow me to finish an entire word or phrase.

    2. whenever I type in and go to a URL after the URL address charge disappears from the address bar.

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

    Hi Tora Bisu,
Thanks for the reply, but that did not help me because you didn't tell me where to find the ' Stop/reload button Hide URL' parameter, and I couldn't find myself.
However I have addressed myself in addons successively disabling and re-enabling them until I discovered the culprit.
The culprit that I discovered was the classic theme restaurateur, who has now been duly disabled and will not be used again.

  • How can I move buttons between the address bar and the search bar?

I use for home, Developer Web, Download and so forth, to the right of the address bar, between that and the Google bar.

But now I can't move in there, with the latest version of Firefox.

I wish that when they create a new version, they would not take away what we customize things to do. so I can get all of them back?

    simon_a6 wrote:

    • The dashed border points out that you can drag and drop things here. White tile on the new tab Page have a similar design.
    • The search bar can be moved.
    • The address bar is pinned in place, unless you install Classic theme restaurateur.
  • Whenever I have press F11 or click full screen, my address bar and the tabs will not go down as they normally do. How can I fix it?

I recently hooked another monitor to my laptop, that was when the problem occurred, but even after restarting Firefox * and * my computer, it did not always work. By collapse, I mean when you press F11, the open tabs and the address bar appear smaller, and then they slide up until what you don't see it (unless you mouse over). Please help me solve this =)

    Thank you!

You can right click on the tab bar or the Navigation bar mode full screen (F11) and make sure that "Hide toolbar" is enabled.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.
  • The icon in the tray of the microsoft game keeps jumping to the left.

Since the upgrade from Vista to Windows7, I got a problem when you play Microsoft games. The icon that lays in the status bar keeps jumping to the left and flashing is seen with her. It seems that the game wants to minimize what he has done many times. I don't know how to stop this as this never happened in vista. I have updated all drivers for my software, including the graphics card. Can someone help me with what I or my little girl can't use the application of games.

    Hello

    1. the problem occurs only with the Microsoft games?

    2. did you of recent changes made to your computer before the problem?

    3. are you referring to the Explorer of games that are pre-installed in Windows 7 or Microsoft games that require intense graphics?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

Try pinning to the taskbar and check if the icons keep jumping around.

    Step 2:

Make the SFC scan on your computer to check if the problem persists. This is done to repair or recover any corrupt or missing system files.

    Step 3:

Put your computer in a clean boot State and check if the problem persists.

Note: Follow step 7 to restart the computer in normal mode.

    Step 4:

Create a new user account and check if the problem persists.
