ADF Mobile: PUSH any notification.

Would you please provide sources for Notifications of type PUSH on ADF Mobile?

Oracle has build several PUSH Notification API for MAF release & added a section in the MAF - applications.xml to indicate the PUSH will be used.  I intend to use these tools of framework in the future.

  • ADF Mobile: Can I add Badging to the features of Mobile?

    Nice day:

    I'll put up the Push Notifications.  Is this possible in ADF Mobile badge function icons?  Here is my goal.  When a Push Notification comes in the badge number is displayed on the icon of the application.  After that the user launches the app I want to display badges for each feature that requires attention.

    Use case: A Manager has the badge number 40 on the application icon.  When the application is launched, I want this number be broken down into service level badging.  For example: the Manager must answer the following questions: 15 claims, 5 applications for leave, 2 requests for home work, etc...

    I looked and didn't see any documentation.  I'm under JDK 7_55, JDev 11.1.2.4, XCode 5.0

    Thank you for your expert opinion on how to proceed,

    Tree Strepek

    Function icon badges is not supported, otherwise get listed in the documentation.

    Hello

    So when I push the button and then "pushed" shows on the screen, but the "new thing happening" message does not display after 3 seconds as expected. Can someone explain why this is and how to fix the code so that it works (I tested the run method is called after 3 seconds when trying to include a statement System.exit (0)). Thank you

    He thinks the reason why overview AMX works currently in Linux is that it uses JavaFX under the hood and there are problems with the implementation on this platform. I checked an internal construction of the next version of the extension, which runs on top of JDeveloper 12 c. The AMX preview worked properly on my Oracle Linux 6.4 VM. Of course, it is not an official statement by Oracle and our plans can change at any time.

  • ADF Mobile: Want to reuse the moving components of the adf.

    Hi all

    I need to use an application mobile adf newly created in an existing App. I want to use data controls to the new application in my consuming application to create some pages that I tried to do by FAR of the draft view controller of the new application, adding the FAR to my former PPP as a library... I am referring to 4 definition of a Mobile Application (version 2.0.0.0.0).

    Ideally, I should get two options when adding library (FAR)-

    1 application library

    2 ViewController project.

    But I'm only option 1.

    Jdev version: 11.1.2.4

    ADF Mobile version: 11.1.2.4.39.64.71

    Is the problem with the jdev m using an older version of the MAF.

    You are looking at documentation, Oracle MAF but working with ADF Mobile.

    You must migrate ADF mobile at the CRG as soon as POSSIBLE, and then you will get the functionality you need.

    No reason to stay with the old Mobile ADF which is not supported any longer, migration to the MAF should be smooth.

  • ADF Mobile: Error when accessing the app from the Android emulator

    I am trying to build a mobile app ADF with JDeveloper (11.1.2.4.0) and its extension ADF Mobile Framework (11.1.2.4.39.64.69). The version of the Android API is 23 and the SDK build tools and platform version 20.

    I built the app and the deployment of the android emulator has been a success, but when I try to access the application on the emulator, it throws an error indicating that the application has stopped working.

    When I check logcat he showed the exception stack trace below that throws an UnsupportedOperationException

    Hi SayantanSinha,

    If you look under API supported levels, the maximum is 19 API.  I can't speak for the ADF 11.1.2 but the lines of code in the (more recent) MAF, who have a similar support matrix, we have noted problems with the API 20.

    You can download older versions of the API of the Manager of Android SDK tool.  Remember to update your EPCO or JDev SDK configuration with the version that you want to use once it is installed.

  • ADF Mobile: Create contact

    I am trying to add the functionality of contact to create my mobile app and followed the instructions here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpkJDeRH2ys

    I created a bean managed and added the following code:

    {} public void newPhoneContact (ActionEvent actionEvent)

    DeviceManager device = DeviceManagerFactory.getDeviceManager ();

    Contact = new Contact();

    ContactName, contactName = new ContactName();

    contactName.setFamilyName ("Doe");

    contact.setName (contactName);

    ContactField phoneNo = new ContactField();

    phoneNo.setType ("mobile");

    phoneNo.setValue("815-000-0000");

    ContactField [] phoneNos = new ContactField [] {phoneNo};

    contact.setPhoneNumbers (phoneNos);

    Contact newContact = device.createContact (contact);

    }

    When I run the application, nothing happens, and there is no error message in the logs. Page AMX code is:

    "< amx:commandButton id ="cb6' icon="/images/add_contact.png '.

    actionListener="#{viewScope.newContact.newPhoneContact}"/ >

    I don't know if I'm missing something here.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    I checked this with success in JDev ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.39.64.64 against XCode 5.0.2 & iOS Simulator 7.0 11.1.2.4.0 and separately 4.2.2 Android API level 17.  It works on both platforms.

    Please indicate which versions of platforms and software that you use, you deploy too.  More information the better.  It is also important on iOS when first invited to allow the application to access the contacts on the unit you click Yes.

    6. I am moving back from the web service of datacontrol in Home.amx page

    7. calling web services from Java as follows:

    GenericType = result

    (GenericType) AdfmfJavaUtilities.invokeDataControlMethod ("Comp", null, "getCompany",

    pNames, params,

    PTypes);

    System.out.println ("after the call to the service" + result.getAttributeCount ());

    8. in the Java class, I get the response correctly (as the company designating the username entered as 'SOCIETY'), where when I navigate to the home page, I don't see any results for the method return (name of the company that dropped like OutputText in Home.amx)

    Did I miss something for this. or something more that I need to do to make it work?

    Please suggest.

    Thank you

    Vieira

    Hi all

    I was able to achieve this by executing my method in bean support.

    This code is as follows:

    AdfELContext adfELContext = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext ();

    MethodExpression me =.

    () AdfmfJavaUtilities.getMethodExpression

    "#{bindings.retreiveLocationInformation.execute}".

    (, Object.class, Class [] {}) new;

    me. Invoke (adfELContext, new Object [] {});

  • ADF Mobile | to view the results in a table

    Hi all

    I use Jdeveloper with ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.39.64.62 extensions 11.1.2.4

    I must displya quesry results in the form of a table (I'm developing of application for tablets and iPads).

    I don't see any compont to Datacontrols table to remove it as a table on page amx.

    Is it possible that I can display the data in a table in ADF Mobile?

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Vieira

    Hi Vinay,

    Yes, I understand that the table showing in the window is not the best, but we develop this for the cushions and with highest 7-inch screen tablets.

    I am able to achieve by droping inside the Table list item > row > component cell Format.

    Don't you see the disadvantages of this approach?

    Thank you

  • ADF Mobile (jdev 11.1.2.4.0) amx:inputNumberSlider

    Hello!

    As shown here hosted demo components ADF Mobile component Gallery

    He values possible for this components do not appear and the selected value. (unlike the adf)

    I was searching through its properties, but I could find anything, any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Can clarify you your question?

    You want to see the number of the slide currently has?

    I guess that this component does not appear this info on a phone. It my show this if you use a tablet.

    To view the selected value, you can put an outputText somewhere and display the value property of the slider there.

  • Accidents of Simulator XCode5 ADF Mobile update

    Then I updated my JDev ADF Mobile update (11.1.2.4.39.64.62).

    I'm in XCode Version 5.0.2 (A 5, 3005). I can create a new simple application with a single page (home.amx) and when I deploy it in the Simulator he closes my Simulator, opening a new and behaves as the launch of my application and then does nothing. There is no icon and nothing has been implemented in the Simulator.

    When I open the temporary application of Xcode, I am able to launch the app in XCode 5 successfully.

    Any suggestions?

    Chris,

    Yes, I am aware that it is soft on the 2nd page. This isn't a "request" I ask.

    My steps were this:

    -deploy the app on iOS Simulator

    -iOS 7.03 (B 11, 508) Simulator closed

    -iOS 7.03 (B 11, 508) Simulator would open

    -l' screen would flash and everything just to sit on the home screen

    -J' then tried to navigate to page 2. At the time only my other apps were on the 2nd page. (not that I tried to deploy)

    -J' I reset the content and settings and tried again, same thing. A flash (as he tried to run automatically), then displays the home page.

    I was finally able to make it work by:

    -Uninstall XCode 5.0.2 (A 5, 3005)

    -uninstalled jDev 11.1.2.4

    -reinstalled xcode and jdev

    -install the updated mobile

    -open my test application, he managed to put the app on the 2nd page

    The flash and the stall on the homepage is now gone. I understand, it can be confusing to what exactly the problem I had with this update, but if all goes well in breaking it down it makes clear.

    It has never been an icon of the application on the 2nd page. He simply behaved as he tried to launch automatically. Never be able to launch an application with this update, I thought he was trying to run automatically (as a new feature) instead of the old way.

    I hope this post helps others that may encounter the same problem.

  • ADF Mobile: deployment on multiple iOS Devices

    Hello

    I have developed a custom application of ADF Mobile and successfully deploy the same on an iPad using the certificate of distribution companies.

    As I borrowed someone's iPad I returned the unit and the device is somewhere else now.

    After deploying to the device, I had made the same request to the iOS Simulator using a different profile of deployment.

    Now, I want to get the. File API to run the application on another iPad, but when I checked the deployment folder in the workspace that I can't see everything. IPA file.

    If I deploy the application on iOS Simulator using the deployment profile configured for the distribution company profile I would be able to run on any other iPad .app file.

    And is it possible to extract the. IPA file from the old iPad? Any other alternative that someone might suggest.

    Kind regards

    Himanshu

    Solved. The .ipa file located in "Music/iTunes/iTunes/Mobile Media Applications.

  • New guideline of Apple cannot allow ADF Mobile to publish the application in the store in February

    Hi guys,.

    I saw a new rules that sent to the IOS Developer any delay to February 1, 2014 for submission apply new/updated App Store must generate in XCode5 and optimized for iOS7 SDK

    And the current version of the ADF doesn't support or XCode 5 and iOS Mobile 7 SDK.

    Then my current app in the App Store will be a risk with us because we are planning to update the application in the next phase in this month of February.

    So, please fix as soon as possible.

    Ref: https://developer.apple.com/news/

    Hello

    just as an fyi: we are currently working on a new game Patch for ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4 which also addresses the issue of XCODE. Beside that, Timo is correct that the RTO does not help fixing bugs because it is only a forum for communication and assistance

  • ADF Mobile Application to filter sms

    Hello ADF Experts.

    In the ADF, Mobile Application, we could use some features of the device / Device Manager to send text messages, emails, etc..

    Can we build a capacity in mobile application to filter the sms messages received in mobile by keywords and to send the text message to certain URL via a HTTP POST request callback.

    Help with this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Dexell

    Hello

    ADF Mobile has no access to the SAM. When you send an SMS then you actually call the customer request (no matter what your mobile uses for texting) and pass strings to the URL schema. This does not, however, a two-way API, you can use to read the SMS of ADF Mobile or invoke any kind of recall

  • ADF Mobile - function getPicture in iOS

    Hi all

    We use getPicture method in ADF Mobile to take photos in our application. Problem is that the function returns a path of the tmp in the iOS and the photos are deleted once the application has been closed. How do we store pictures permanently? Do we need to copy and save elsewhere when they are stored or is there a better way to do it?

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thank you

    Hello

    This thread on StackOverflow says this is a limitation with Phonegap Get Picture() Cordova, which is used internally by ADF Mobile.

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/8514560/iOS-PhoneGap-camera-cant-save-image-to-photo-library

    The work around of this thread is to use caprureImage from JavaScript

    navigator.device.capture.captureImage(onSuccess,
      onFail,
       {
      limit: 1
       });
    }

    Unfortunately, this seems to require the support of plugins, which will be added to the next version of ADF Mobile

    Perhaps, as an alternative, try to read the image in the temp directory and try to explicitly write elsewhere. The code is in this chapter for a view and remote file access
