  Are you zoom in on the timeline? You can't adjust the video position on the timeline into smaller steps that 1 frame at a time. The framework is the basic unit of the video.

  If you pass you your timeline to show Audio time units, you can transfer the audio in the timeline panel in small increments.

  You use the scroll bar that you get when you click the gear in the top middle of your screen.  This bar only works on clips in the clips pane, not in the time line.

  The slider beside the button settings in the middle right side of your screen expands the time line so that the clips in it are spread out more.

  Also, if you click on the settings button, a dialog box appears that contains a scroll bar to adjust the size of the clip in the timeline.

  I understand that you want to adjust the brightness of a clip in iMovie for iOS. You cannot adjust the brightness directly, but you can add a filter to a clip or project that could potentially illuminate it for you.

  I have a lot of slides / photos and prefer to adjust the speed of each of them at the same speed of s 3.0 at a time without going through each one.  When I do, it does not apply.  How can I do this?

  In iMovie 10.1.1 Select all photo clips in your timeline.  Click on the button info (an ' i' with a circle around it), top right of your screen. Enter your length of stay in the duration box that appears at the top right. Press return on your keyboard.   All your photos will now have the time that you set.

  Another way: before you open a new project, go to iMovie/preferences and set your default clip duration in the duration of clips.

  I am using elements first 13 editing a video and I have a track audio voice-over that was divided in about 500 + different segments along a track of the timeline.

  After you save and play on some different equipment, I discovered that I need to lower the bass in all of the audio of any voiceover track.

  PE13 only seems to allow me to the bass on one segment highlighted at a time and will not allow a setting to make multiple selections of segments.

  It would be ridiculous to manually adjust the bass on 500 + individual segments, so I am assuming that there must be a way to make adjustments to the bass simultaneously on several tracks in the timeline?

  Once you have defined the level of bass on a clip, right-click on that item, and then select copy. Then select the rest of the clips, right-click and choose Paste effects and attributes.

• Can adjust the audio levels with a single clip

  Very simple question that drives me crazy.  Just before I post, I'm a complete to this noob please go easy on me.

  I'm editing a podcast.  It is a clip, a track in first pro.  My sound levels varies between-3 and - 12db through recording due to parts where I speak louder and quieter.   I need to balance a little better, to make the quiet parts louder.

  I don't know how to do this outside the insertion of keyframes volume level in the clip, which is slow and manual and takes forever.

  Every search I do to normalize levels is all about several clips and by adjusting the maximum peak in the same, that will not help me.

  Adobe Audition is a speech Volume Leveler you might want to check.

• Best way to adjust the lighting in the video clips

  Is there a 'best' way to adjust the lighting conditions in a video clip?  I have a clip with terrible lighting conditions and can not remove the scenario.

  While I don't expect a perfect solution, I hope that there are approaches better than those I serve.  If the recommendations include third-party plugins, I would appreciate hearing about them, as well.

  I have been using the corrector, gamma and luminance correction filters.  Adjustments of corrector gamma in higher values, but seems to only work by discrete steps.  So, if the gamma should be entered upwards or downwards in a clip, there is a very visible and sometimes jarring visual effect.  The luma corrector seems to only be able to increase the brightness level (thanks to a combination of all the variables of 5 or 6, including brightness, gain, gamma, etc.) before the clip appears washed out.

  All the CC and grading should begin with 'levels '.

  You could then enter the 3 - Way Color Correction.

• New adjustment layers - create the clipping mask?

  This just started happening.  I use Windows Home Premium 64-bit and 64-bit Photoshop CS5 (not extended).  My system specs are listed below.

  I've been editing a series of photos when the levels adjustment layer dialog box started to behave abnormally.  Finally, I realized that, in the "New layer" dialog, the "Use previous layer to create clipping mask" is checked.  When I click on button othe levels in the "Adjustments" pane the new adjustment layer is also indented as if I had used the Ctrl + Alt + G key combination.

  I restarted Photoshop and got the same behavior, then restarted Windows and always get the same behavior.  I am sure I have inadvertently enabled something, but can not find the place where to retrieve the original bahavior.  Does anyone know where to turn?

  OK, I'm new to Premiere Pro (used during the last week as part of my job) but have so far managed to pick up the basics. In the last sequence, that I edited, I had a problem with trimming. I tried to cut the end of the clip (which is at the end of the sequence) and it ends with a small portion of the cut frame on the side. I searched online and can't find something like this. Any suggestions on what could be the cause? I bet it's probably me being stupid / a newbie, but for the life of me, I can't work on whats up with it...

  It is the end of the sequence indicator, Adobe, in their wisdom, think we say when we got to the end. He was white, now it's Purple. It will not be in your exports.

  Press A key for the track Selection tool.  Click the first clip that you want to settle and every item after that will be also selected.  You can move them as a group.

  If you need clips on more than a selected track, hold CTRL when you click.

For example in a video my video "1 Point" may 1 minute maximum, and in the next video"Point 1" will be 1.5 minutes long.  I have keyframes at the beginning and end of the text overlay that move the text and change its opacity.  Unfortunately when I extend the text clip, keyframes remain where they were and do extend the Summit again.  I got that by chopping the clips in two pieces, a piece of beginning and end and then drag end to the end piece and then bridge the gap with the adjustment tool. It is heavy and requires that replicate the content of the text in the two clips of different text.

  Is it possible to extend or retract a clip while keeping the relative positioning keyframes forward and the end of the clip itself?

  Copy the clip before you change the duration. Once you have extended/shortcut use Paste attributes. You have a possibility to maintain or stretch time.

  

  May not work for all situations of keyframing.

  Apparently you have imported a file of music to your slide show and you
  want to add narration also. I think would be best to delete
  the music file for now, create your narration, and then replace it
  music file.
