• Satellite P205D - how to adjust the volume with sensitivity control

  I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the sensitivity of the variable volume wheel.

  I noticed that in the turning point, I'll go to volume level 0 directly at the level of volume 4, which is quite frustrating, because I'm used to using a dial bound volume that will increase the volume of minor rotation 1 level of each instead of minor rotation 4 levels each.

  To be honest I didn t notice such big difference using the volume control digital on my Satellite.
  I m not owner of the Sat P205 because this P205 is a model of Toshiba laptop and here in Europe, you will find only the P200.

  However, as I said above, I can adjust the volume with sensitivity and volume increases not rapidly from 1 to 4.
  Of course this new generation of volume controls works a little different than the volume controls current, old mechanics, but you should be able to affect the level of volume correctly.

  I put t know which driver sound and that Toshiba control you are using, but maybe you should check if the update might help you

  You can use a bitmapdata object to create a bitmap image of your movieclip not transformed (using the draw method) and use the applyfilter method to apply a filter to your bitmapdata object.

• Change the text with AS3 makes the invisible text

  Hi all

  Even for a total n00b like me, this is awkward: I can't even change a text on the stage with as3.

  I place a text on my stage, assign the dynamics, incorporate the police and give it an instance name. When I change the text, he evacuated the scene or if it remains invisible, I don't know.

  I thought it would be as simple as this: myText.text = "new text";   but apparently I am doing something wrong. When I put a trace (myText.text);  before and after, I see the old and the new text in the output window. Then he changes correctly, but why he disappears it?   do not enter text in the ide.  Use actionscript to assign the original text of your textfield and also change.

• Adjustment layer does not adjust the layers

  When you add an adjustment layer to a composition in After Effects, I am able to see the purple outline of the adjustment layer in the Composition.  I am able to change his size and rotation by changing the transformation options, but the video on the two layers under the adjustment layer does not change.

• Can not adjust the volume with the Fn keys

  Hello people,

  I have an Aspire laptop 5733Z and I love her dearly.  Recently, I lost the ability to adjust the volume using the Fn key keyboard shortcut with upward or down arrow keys.  I have uninstalled and installed the Realtek HD driver.  I called technicians to Answersby.com and they couldn't help.  Did anyone out there has had this problem and is there a solution.  Thank you for your assitance on it.  Ron

• Automatically adjusts the brightness with the background of the window.

  This is a fairly long description of the question, but I tried to be as complete as possible (this looks like a minor problem but it's very embarrassing in the conditions I work often) I have a laptop Dell Inspiron under Windows 7 Home Premium, and I'm having a problem with the brightness of the screen. I was not able to locate any other positions, even with a similar problem:

  Windows automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the background color of any windows is open. When the toggle between light/dark background brightness will increase or decrease respectively. This is unrelated to all conditions of lightning of the room, and I was able to nail that this occurs only when two conditions are met (but she she 100% reproducible in these conditions) 1. Laptop is running on battery and 2. the screen brightness slider is calibrated for lower brightness about settings up to about 30 to 40%.
  I tried to eliminate all possible variables that I can think of, including the diagnosis via msconfig startup. This automatic brightness adjustment occurs independently of the program or the window involved, but here's an example where I cut everything and simply alternate between the Windows desktop (including the black background value) and Windows Explorer (white background).
  EXAMPLE 1: Desktop (black) came, no agenda. I open Windows Explorer (white) and the brightness fades gradually more light for a period of 5 seconds, tick-tick-tick-tick-tick brighter. I reduce Windows Explorer (dark back) and the brightness fades gradually more dark, tick-tick-tick-tick darker. When working in a darkened room this very annoying constant increase or decrease the brightness. Note that the brightness slider is set to the minimum setting all this time (about 40% of the automatic erasure is more noticeable at the point of annoying, even if it is always present, but 40% is way too bright for a darkened room).
  EXAMPLE 2: I opened two tabs in Google Chrome or Internet Explorer (that happens for two and all the other programs besides), in a tab of the page Web has a dark background (grey/brick/whatever) while the other tab has a light background (white/yellow/whatever). As I switch between tabs brightness will decrease after the passage in the darker background and rise after the transition to the lighter background, tick-tick-tick-tick-tick discoloration with about 5 seconds each time.
  Since this only occurs on battery you need just a simple setting in Power Options, but I don't the do have not yet localized as and option. I would be grateful all the ideas, and I can provide more information if necessary. Two solutions would be acceptable
  (A) brightness remains constant at the level that I put it independently to know if the laptop is plugged in or on battery power.
  (B) brightness adjusts in a single 'jump' when switch between light/dark circles, rather than erasing more than 5 seconds.

  In fact, after a lot of research and work of suggestions other people, I think I found a solution that works on my machine. (I'm saying I think because I shot to the top of a black web page, he gave way to the screen for a while and looked and seems not to reduce intensity, but I'm a little worried that it's just top-down influence and I just wanted to believe that I solved the problem...)

  Here's what I did (on my Toshiba);
  Control Panel > display > adjust the resolution
  Click on 'Advanced settings' (a small blue link in the drop-down "Orientation").
  Click on tab "Intel (R) Graphics and Media Control Panel"
  Graphics properties
  Power > power features
  Click the menu drop-down and select 'on battery '. Under this drop-down menu, there is a checkbox next to "Display Power Saving Technology" that only appears when "on battery" is selected. On my computer, the box has been checked. I've disabled, and who seems to have stopped the display to change the brightness according to the color of the window.
  I hope this works for some other people (and indeed works for me) - this seems to be a very rare but incredibly annoying problem for those of us who got it.

• adjust the tint with the paint brush tool?

  I have 2 good paintings together to appear like when hooked together. I like several colors in the two existing skies but just cyan edge seal on one of them is hue. Is there a way I can gradually adjust the hue of an area with a paint brush tool. In other words no paint on the texture.

  An adjustment layer tint effects uniformly a whole layer or a selection, not what I need. I want to use a diffuse brush or Airbrush to tease gradually in a color change where I want.

  Ideally, it would be surprising if I could adjusted the tint of end target so once the image reached this color it would interrupt being adjusted no matter if I continued to paint.

  I suspect one of the dozen or so list drop-down MODE options like normal, color dodge, saturation... could do but nothing with that I've experienced seems to do.

  Is this possible?

  As the layers of classification cannot be created if I use the direct link to my project from creation to speedgrade. Can I create adjustment layers 3-4 in first pro and then send my project to speedgrade and use my these as regular ranking adjustment layers layers in speedgrade?

  Yes, that of right, and now is the only way to use layers of classification in Direct connection mode.

• Keep the layers with Group/Ungroup CS5

  I hope I missed a box hidden somewhere in illustrator.

  I work with complex figures and often use the group to move the sections and align the panels. Unfortunately, this process flattens all objects in a single layer; which is ok when I move the group, but NOT OK when I need ungroup and modify objects in layers separated again.

  For example:

  Graphic overlay, text, highlight behind the text.

  One use is when I make a model, distributing the work to occupy the available space, then going back in and update text and highlights, etc.

  I'm dealing with too many objects to manually reassign the layers after dissociation.

  Answered my own question.

  Set the properties selectionBeginIndex and selectionEndIndex of text controls.

  For example, this selects all the text in a text box:

• Cropping of the layers with the crop in Photoshop CC 2014 tool?

  I tried to find out if the crop tool can be used in 2014 CC Photoshop to crop the layers individually rather than on the entire record, and I'm not find answers through research. I can not even find a standard Adobe how-to for culture in the CC version. The selection tool is still the only (best) way to crop an individual layer?

  Also, I was watching a tutorial tool of harvest for the CC version which seems a little opaque for me in the way he wrote (Adobe Photoshop CC for photographers) and it refers to a harvest menu options drop-down, but I can't find any way to access to this.

  Yes, I know that in previous versions, you use the tools Rectangle selection and reverse to crop a layer. I was hoping that finally Adobe has updated to have an option for the crop tool to use for a layer of culture. Too much to ask, after all these years.

  I took 5 photographs using the techniques of luminous paint recently proposed in DPS Light Painting tutorial.  However, using 8 items, I can't combine them into layers.  I can get them in elements, save them and open them in layers of elements section.  However, I do not know where to go to from there.  Any help out there?

  The empty file will be your canvas. It is important that its dimensions and the resolution is the same as that of the images. They should all be the same, because, no doubt, you have taken with the same camera. You will have 6 layers: background, layers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

  Hi I have a tab navigator that I instantiated in my AS3 code.  I want to make this browser tab display only in some countries, but not all. How can I do this?  Obviously with mxml I can add a property 'includeIn' and assign which has it should be visible, but how would I do this in ActionScript?   Thank you, fuyuko

  The States are a concept MXML, not a concept of ACEs. In AS, you would use what logic allows you to change your status, and then do the things you want to happen next.
