  Yes, you will lose everything when you re-install.

  If you are able to logon to an account that can back up personal files as much as you want to keep on an external hard drive, or Flash drives or DVDs.

  Running Vista Ultimate.  I have 2 user accounts, the two administrators.  If a user remains logged on for any period of time (more than 10 minutes), disconnects, and then another user logs on, they will get the dreaded "your user account is not load correctly."

  A reboot always restores the afflicted user account.  Web an extensive search doesn't have all the solutions near mine.

  Examined the msgs of following error in the application event log: 1511 1515 WARNING WARNING 1502 1508 error.  This just started recently.

  If you don't have another admin account, go into safe mode.
  Here's how to get safe mode:
  Shut down your computer > turn it back on and immediately and repeatedly tab key F8 until you see a black and white screen. The top/down arrow and select Safe Mode with network.

  In the window to logon safemode, you see another admin next to your account? If you do, that one is the built-in Administrator account. By default, there is no password. Opening of session and run the tutorial from Microsoft Support below.

  Short version is I deleted the local copy of the roaming profile and now she cannot connect to this computer with its username/password changes.

  When logging on it says unable to load the user profile, but the profile is there when I log in Administrator account, how do I recognize my account that I used to use? Everything worked fine until I went to reboot my Dell Vosstro 220, running Vista SP2 with all latest updates... He went to the Startup Repair, and after awhile, I was dirrected to restart the computer. When it restarted, it went to a temporary user profile named after one it starts normally, but there was 3-0 and temp after the profile. So the desktop icon were almost all gone and when you run a temp profile nothing is saved in it when you use... One was exactly like my normal account (mountain), but with temp000 after her. Now it takes forever to load the administrator account. It must also be typed in each time instead of remember accounts. How can I get MountainMan load again? The info is there, but he doesn't seem to know the location more. Even when I type in MountainMan it just says unable to load the user profile. I don't know if typing in the name of the account is the same problem or if I have 2 problems. I appriciate any help to correct this situation. Also just FYI, I deleted temporary files after changing names, in which case they were confusing.
