Administrator password lost Windows 7 some kind around him?
Need a way to bypass the password on the administrator account in windows 7 new machine and in the pass of configuration has been
entered accidentally and don't know it. Transfer of old data machine so I don't want to do a re install of full operating system or I lose data HELP! everyone? What account are you talking about? The 'real' administrator or your normal "group administrator" account? If you're the normal account you have another account with administrator privileges?
Rather than wait for answers, I will cover the three options above. If it's something else I'm going to need more entries.
(1) if he is the real Director, it is a fairly easy fix (I had to do the other day because my OEM set a password for the account).
· Open Control Panel > user accounts and select the option that allows you to change other accounts;
· Select the administrator account.
· Disable the password required. Changing this option does not require a password.
(2) if it is your own account, but you have another account on the system with administrator privileges, the above procedures will work here as well.
(3) If you're clean and no other account has administrator privileges it will be much more complicated.
First of all, try changing the account that you are in administrator. It is unlikely that it will work and would be a major security hole, but it is worth it.
If this does not work, try to start a command prompt and activating the true administrator. Procedures at this link will guide you through the boot to the command prompt. Once at the command prompt, type the following two lines:
NET user administrator / Active: Yes
Net user administrator p@ssw0rDOnce you ask the real active administrator, start at the top and connect to the administrator account. Once there, use the procedure in "1)" above. This third option may not work, I've never had to try it this way, but it makes logical sense.
Good luck.

Hi Johanna,.
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
I understand that you can not use the USB in Windows 7.
I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely help you with this
1. you get any error message?
2 have you tried using different USB ports?
3. any other USB key works on the computer in question?
4. do the USB works on any other computer?
5 have had any changes made to the computer before the show?
Please follow the methods.
Method 1:
Run the Microsoft fixit for the link.
Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us
Method 2:
As all devices have same also have USB device associated drivers. Appropriate sometimes drivers not detected after initial installation so reinstalling the drivers can fix the problems.
You can check after uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers if you are able to connect. You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
(a) click Startand then click Control Panel.
(b) click system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.
(c) Note if the control panel is in Classic view, double-click Systemand then click on Device Manager.
(d) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
(e) in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.(f) repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.
We would be more than happy to help you if the steps above did not solve the problem.

What is the HP Digital Imaging Monitor? Apply to my operating system, Windows 7?
What is the HP Digital Imaging Monitor? Apply to my operating system, Windows 7? I want to remove the icon from the task bar (toolbar in the lower right corner of the screen) that I never use it.
Picardjc wrote that "Digital imaging monitor is part of the HP software that communicates with your HP printer. This program allows to read the inklevels, get an out of paper message, scan from the device to the computer and so on. It is not necessary, but it will restrict the use of printers if you delete. "Understood. But for my printer HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809a, what is the purpose of having the digital imaging monitor icon in the taskbar Windows7 sp1 of the Notification area (aka system tray)? My A809a is NOT an all-in-one that includes a scanner; It is simply a very good printer. When I start to print something, if you need ink or paper, that information is displayed on the screen of my computer. So I ask again: why is the icon of monitor digital imaging on the taskbar? I clicked on at the time of this icon (I not print anything, but as usual, the printer is turned on), and nothing happened. R.N. (Roger) Folsom _ P.S. below I'll post some other discussions (with links to their locations) of the digital imaging monitor, I discovered before finding this site on which I am writing. There are a variety of opinions on what makes the digital imaging monitor. HP Digital Imaging Monitor is for HP director system tray access. This is necessary if you want to use the buttons of all-in-one on a HP printer all in one to scan documents or transfer photos from a camera manually. Closing the icon monitor HP digital imaging in the Windows system tray can cause the HP all-in-one to lose part of its scanning features and not the connection error message. In this case, you can restore all functionality by restarting the computer or by starting the HP digital imaging monitor. [Edited] 03/08/2011 14:05 - edited? 03/08/2011 14:08 Yes, it is safe to remove. In my view, it is usually in the program group under start / all programs / startup. Simply navigate under the Start button, right-click on it and delete! If it is not there, then remove it from the registry: run regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete it from the list in the right pane. If she is not there, then try hkey_current_user\\software\\microsoft\\windows\\currentversion\\run it's better than using msconfig and uncheck it. In my opinion, msconfig must always be set to Normal startup. Your printer will always print without that annoying obstructive utility called Digital Imaging Monitor. Ciao! * Original title: upgrade
I want to upgrade to a newer Windows operating system Windows Vista Home Pro 64-bit. What is the recommended procedure? I see that Windows 7 or 8, a free update to Windows 10 is offered. Should I buy 7 or 8 then you spend 10 or just buy 10?
Thank you
Jim
Hello
Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.
There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.
Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.
Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.
Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

If this is not available, Windows 8.1 not install and work properly for you.
There is a lot of information in this first link from Microsoft:

The size of the base operating system Windows Vista on my Aspire 3680 2682 is larger than 20 GB, is this normal?
Hello
Yes; It's normal.
In addition to the original operating system, you have updates, restore points of the system (set at 15% of the capacity of the hard drive) etc, etc.
It will continue to grow.
If you are worried about anything whatsoever, do a disk cleanup.

You can download this program for FREE and see what fits on the disc.

change a user settings an administrator setup for windows vista windows
in windows Vista, how to change a user settings an administrator setup for windows vista windows. In the CMD window, I tried running the disturbance of disk of my user ID, he comes back and says it must be run by an administrator. When I log on as an administrator id, it works well. It won't let me., it always defaults to the standard user even when I change ID admin ann.
Also, when you use the Defragmenter GUI disc on any id and change the time or date, it will show the new race date, but when you click OK and return to annex it always says the next execution date is 'never '.

Two operating systems; Windows 7 Professional with an option of Windows 10
Two operating systems; Windows 7 Professional with an option of Windows 10.
As a Neolithic Windows, I'm comfortable with Win 7 like all my old XP applications have continued to work with Win 7. Now I want to try to get around the current Win 10 operating system through experience to see what Win 10 offers me in every sense of the use practable. I don't want to lose the existing installation of Win7 which works well, I think to a new PC.
I need a route which can accommodate my learning needs. I'm open to suggestions that might involve touchscreen options to win 10 OS while keeping the mouse driven navigation for Win 7 applications. Clues on a postcard!
10 dual-boot Windows, you will need to buy retail (it's only free if you use it to replace Windows 7, not to start the long side).
So first, buy an installation Windows 10 CD/USB stick to your favorite tech store and install it as a dual-boot option.
You will find that there is no dichotomy of the 'touch' vs 'mouse' use Windows 10. You can use the mouse as you do today in Windows 7: there is literally not a single instance of a hidden mouse-gesture-operated menu, you need to know the secret movement to activate (unlike Windows 8, Windows 10 has been designed so that a user of Windows 7 could jump in without any training).

How can I reset my forgotten administrator password for Windows 7, without a password reset disk?
There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:- Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
- Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
- Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
- Use the password indicator (only works if an indicator was created and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
- Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

There is only the assessment for enterprises and it's only 90 days. After the 90 days if you want to come back you will have to completely re - install win 7 (or dual boot)
