Administrator account must be standard - how should I do this?
On the parental control software, how can I change a user from the administrator to the standard? My son ended by as an administrator, so I can't use the controls.
Hello
To change a Windows user account type, please see the following steps:
1. connect your administrator user account.
2. click on the Start button.
3. click Control Panel, click user accounts .
4. click on the manage user account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
5. Select your son's account
6. click on Properties.
7. check Standard user.
8. click apply and then OK.
You can also see the link below for the alternative procedure:

Administrator accounts and user Standard
I want to configure my Windows 7 Professional user accounts properly for one user and seeks advice.
In getting started, I entered a password for the Administrator icon that is displayed on the PC.
Can I add a second administrator account and a Standard account for a user? Thank you.
This seems absolutely perfect for me, indeed. And if you are curious and you want to check, you can open a command prompt (right-click of your Start button and choose it from the list), and type net user to see which accounts you listed.
After you have finished it all, I suspect that will show you:

I forgot my password iam unable to open a session now and in my system, there is that no other administrator accounts are available. How to connect
As you go now, having a spare admin account is a very practical thing - if you think of it in advance. Fortunately, there are many other options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:- Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
- Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
- Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
- Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
- Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

Version 5.1 on Windows startup has a message "WDDM Service not working do not. How should I address this?
Try to uninstall the WD Smartware:
1. launch WD Smartware virtual CD
2. go in the "Extras".
"3. launch uninstaller" WD SmartWare ".
Restart the computer before you reinstall the WD SmartWare.
This should make the WDDM Service working again.

How to transfer files & settings from the administrator account for the Standard user account
I have a Standard user account. I use the administrator account and realized that was not a right thing to do. However, now I can't have one of the images or files. I thought that they would automatically be there, but it didn't work that way. Is it possible to transfer these items? Open to all suggestions. Thank you

Administrator account has no password - how to fix this?
I help fix a Windows XP Pro computer for a friend. He got divorced and remove his ex-wife and son of user accounts. However, as I understand it, there is a problem. When you go into control panel > users there are now 2 users... Administrator and Greg (also a Director)... or has a password associated with it. When the computer restarts the two icons seem to choose user... no password is required to continue.
I think that something is wrong. Should not the administrator user account has a password, even if other users are not? Is not a security feature? I guess someone has been playing with the accounts and that damn, but I don't know how to fix it.
What we want to do, it's the computer starts without clicking on a user icon or use a password. The user administrator account shouldn't like to be in the background? Read somewhere that if you go in Mode safe that the original administrator with password user account will be there. Huh?
Tips are welcome.
Thank you.It is not * necessary * that you have any password on your system. It's * sage * have accounts level administrative camps, each with a password and use a non-adminitsrative level account for everyday tasks.
I don't know what you read and where you read - but given your operating system - it is incorrect. Combinations of name of user and password in Mode safe are the same as in normal mode. In Windows XP Professional, you can see and use the built-in secure and normal mode administrator account. It's Windows XP Home Edition, where you can only login as administrator integrated mode without failure.
Really, you MUST assign a password to all accounts. You really should create a new user to be used every day (not administrator). You can set up an automatic connection to one of these accounts - I recommend the non-admin.

I have a new computer with a new installation of Windows 7 Home Premium.
This is a pretty fast PC with an i7 2600 and an SSD.When I log on to an administrator account, it takes about 10-15 seconds, however when I connect to a standard account, it takes less than a second.
I can create a standard account, sign a bunch of times immediately, then give him admin privileges and it suddenly starts to take 10-15 seconds. He switch back to the standard, and login is immediate.
Any ideas what may be the cause?
Hello
1. do you receive an error message while starting?
2. did you make any changes before this problem?
I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.
Step 1: Try to start in safe mode and check if you face same issue here as well.
Solve the problem in safe mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Step 2: Try a clean boot and see if it helps.
How to solve problems by performing a clean boot in Windows 7: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135 Note: once the diagnosis is made the steps in step 7, try to reset the computer as usual.
Also try the procedure described in the article Microsoft provided to improve the performance of the computer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Ways-to-improve-your-computers-performance
I hope that helps!

I can't my files such as images, ect. some how the account on my windows has changed as a guest, please help, thank you, Tony
It is impossible to remove the built-in Administrator account. Windows will not let you.
Now, you must do two things:
- Keep tap F8 at startup to start the machine in Repair Mode, and then use the system restore setting up Windows to a point still, things worked.
- Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key.

How send/copy the files of the administrator account to a standard account on the same pc
How can I copy files from my Administrators account of standard user account to my husband on the same PC
Hello
I don't know the operating system on your machine, so very difficult to say; but in general, under C:\Users , you should have your account and other accounts. As an Adninistrator, you can copy, move files between accounts.
Kind regards.

How to access the administrator account disabled on standard user account?
I recently disbaled my account admin by this step
Control Panel > administrative tools > computer management > local users and groups > users > admin account > properties > check an account is disabled
Now, I want access to my admin account
I tried to access it from the login screen by clicking CTRL + ALT + DELETE but his does not work and also tried to start a cmd as administrator of the standard user account, but his is not accessible. Now I can able to access standard user only, now please tell me how to access my admin account to standard user account that I created.
What you were doing was equivalent to throw out your safe master key. Not a good idea. Here's how you can recover from this error:
- Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
- Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
- Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
- Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
- Select 'Repair' when prompted.
- When you are prompted, select System Restore.
- Configure Windows to a point before you disabled the admin account.
- Instead of disable your own and only the account admin, you now need to create, test, and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

I have an account to both personal and professional for Skype. I use the business account more. In the process of setting up the account company on my new computer, I asked for the connection information for the Microsoft account. After that, he wants now all merge so I sign in Skyp with connection to Microsoft. I don't want to do that. My business account is actually "owned" by my employer and I want to be able to make sure that everything is separate. How can I work around by using Microsoft information in Skype?
Thanks for your help!
Mary Pat
The only case where Microsoft Account is an absolute requirement is when dealing with the modern app from Skype (metro) for Windows 8/8.1.
Desktop version, that can be installed on computers Windows 8.1 requires Microsoft account.
