Adobe Acrobat DC stuck on printing landscape

No matter what I do, Adobe Acrobat DC insists on printing landscape. I made sure that the paper size is 8.5 "x 11". I put it to print the portrait in the printer properties, as well as in the Acrobat dialog box. It still prints landscape. I can close Acrobat DC and open the file in Acrobat Reader, and it prints portrait without any problem. After doing so, if I reopen it Acrobat DC, it displays the portrait of document, it displays the appropriate paper size and in its dialog box print it shows that the picture will be printed. Then, when I send to print, it prints landscape. It's rather tedious to create the document in Acrobat DC and have to close it in order to print in Acrobat Reader. (Did I mention that I hate "DC"? Worst version ever.)

Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this wayward child?

In the end, the only thing that has worked is a uninstall and reinstall Acrobat.

One of the possibilities for your deliverance is a questionable feature on by default in Windows 10, changing your default printer to be everything you've printed on last.

Go to the Windows 10 Settings of the PC and from there, select Printers & Scanners. Note the option to Let Windows manage my default printer. Make sure that this option is set to Off which is not the default. Once you set this option to Off, then set the driver Adobe PDF as a default. Windows hide more with her!

PS: Yes, it's dark and a pain, but Adobe had no permission in this option and cannot turn by if or turn off!

  • When I print in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, it prints reversed...

Only recently, when I try to print in Acrobat 9 Pro, it prints in back/reversed... like in a mirror.  It shows correct on the page, but when it is printed, it is reversed.  Must have changed a setting by accident, I can't find the question.  Maybe in Adobe Illustrator when I tried to change the meaning of an image.  It only prints like this in Acrobat... no other application.

    Hi hollym23446293,

What are your impression on? Have you checked for a "Horizontal reversal" option (or similar) option in the print dialog box? Its location may vary by printer, but it's often in presentation settings.

Please let us know how it goes.

  • Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro printer will not install

    Hi all

I have a new PC - Win 7 Pro x 64 - and install Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro.  The printer refuses to install.  Gives the error:

WARNING 20225.  Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Setup was unable to create a new item: Adobe PDF Port and printer.  The Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable.  GetLastError: The operation completed successfully.

I tried the command detect and repair to the title of the help, and I get the same error.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I think that will be your solution. The printer driver is not compatible with the latest systems, especially those of 64 - bit.

  • Adobe Acrobat DC does not print the images in point 8.1 of Windows

I am trying to print a PDF document that contains 2 pages on the first page, there is a table containing information on the second page, there is an image that covers almost the whole of the page. However, when you print the PDF file, the first page is printed right on the second page it does not print anything.

Any of you are familiar with this behavior?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi borisdiaz,

Open Acrobat DC, navigate to the Edit menu-> Preferences-> Security (Enhanced)-> disable Protected Mode.

Also, try the solution mentioned in my previous comment.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro XI - print to PDF-broken

Hello. I have recently noticed a problem with the printer driver PDF Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. Print all PDF functions seem to be broken.

    Web browser applications:

Firefox (my main web browser), the print driver invites you to me which file I want to save the PDF and then the status bar for the printing/conversion process will reach 50% and display the title of the error message dialog box: error in the printer. Dialog box Message: an error occurred during printing.

In Chrome, the print job to tempt me to a file name and after I click on 'Print', nothing would happen. No error message. No PDF file is created.

In Microsoft Edge, the same result as directed by Chrome. No error message. No PDF file is created.

    In Adobe Acrobat Reader DC:

Print results Adobe PDF printer in two error dialog boxes, "the document could not be printed" followed by "it has not chosen to print pages". This is despite the fact that 'All' has been selected as an option in "Pages to print" in the print dialog box.

    In the Office Applications:

Same results according to the Chrome and Microsoft test Edge. No error message. No PDF file is created.

    In other applications:

Thunderbird translated "an error occurred when printing"

Notepad translated "the handle is invalid."

The last time I could print to PDF with success was before Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Windows 10 upgrade (from Windows 7 Ultimate).

I tried a "repair Acrobat Installation" under the drop-down help Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and despite an attempt to repair under the administrator account, it has not solved the problem.

I do not experience these symptoms on my 3 Surface Pro, which is also running Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Windows 10 (upgrade of Windows 8.1).

Is anyone else facing similar issues on Windows 10? I noticed another thread on a broken print in PDF format, but that one seems to be content to users of Windows 7.

Any idea or advice would be much appreciated.

I had the same problem. Using Procmon and found that install Acrobat was written to the registry entry to distill 11 but distill has been reading the registry entry for Distiller 10. Basically, I used regedit, exported HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\11.0, opens the file in Notepad, changed all 11 in the tens, then imported. Worked perfect after that.

  • How to set the orientation of page with postscript when the pdf file is displayed in Adobe Acrobat format?

I have a program that generates a postscript and then 'prints' the script in a PDF file using gs.

The user can opt for the document in landscape format.  The program handles this with the addition of the 'Rotation 90' command early in the script.  It works without problem.  When the user opens the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat, it is displayed in landscape orientation.

In addition, the user may have a "watermark", adding the document which is the text at an angle of 60 degrees.  This is handled by the emission of the "rotation of 60", then the text of the watermark, then "rotation-60.  This also works without problem.  The resulting PDF file has watermark text at an angle of 60 degrees to the rest of the text in the document.

The problem is when these two options are used together.  The document is correctly mounted (in orientation landscape with a watermark properly tilted), but it is displayed in Acrobat in portrait, forcing the user to rotate to be able to read it.  When I look at the postscript, it seems OK, just the sum of these two options:

    rotation of 90

    things...

    60 rotate

    ... watermark text...

    turn-60

... the rest of the document...

'Net turnover' is 90, leading me to believe that it would be displayed in landscape orientation, but it is displayed in portrait mode.

There is no other sizing page not declared in the script.

How can I get the document to display in the landscape when opened in Acrobat?  Thank you.

Check to see that the 'gs' (ghostscript) isn't reorienting the page, by default, based on what he thinks is the correct meaning of reading.

  • The necessary Adobe Acrobat work Direct download link

The Adobe Acrobat installer stuck at 1% or 0%. Nothing helps. Different browsers, same thing. So I googled the problem and I saw the suggestion to use the direct links to download instead, and bypassing the software install crappy. But none of the links I've seen work. Can someone so give me a link to direct download of Adobe Acrobat DC work? Thank you.

If you follow the 7 steps you can directly download a free trial here: DC Pro/Standard of Adobe Acrobat and Reader: Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools

If you have a problem from the download, you follow the 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

failure to obtain this cookie translates into an error page displayed after clicking on a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (e.g., current) version.

    Original title: create PDF files

Also: Free Office, Open Office, Microsoft Word (versions), and Word Perfect will save in the form of pdf files. For example, you can create a document save as a pdf or open an existing document, change if you wish and save as PDF.

Acrobat 9 is quite old and not longer supported. The last Windows OS that could use Acrobat 9 has Windows 7 and Acrobat had to have all updates applied.

You need to upgrade to Acrobat DC.
