Outlook 2016 / editing Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin
On Windows 10...
In 2016 Outlook > file > Options > add-ins >
The "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" is under "Application inactive Add-ins.
At the bottom > COM add-ins > go
This add-in is not checked.
If I try to select it, I get the message, 'not loaded. An error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in.
I tried some of these solutions without success.
PDFMaker is unavailable. Office 2007, 2010, 2013 | Acrobat 9, Acrobat X, XI, Acrobat Acrobat DC
The add-in is in the right place:
C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Mail\Outlook
In MS Word, there is a different addin loaded, and I can save as a PDF.

Problem with Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin
I've recently installed MS Office 2010 on my W7 system but find that the Acrobat for MS Word 2010 addin does not: it gives error messages and recommended that I disable the add-in.
All this allows to work very well with MS Word 2007.
Is there anything that can be done about this problem. Is there an update for Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM add-in?
Gerry
Upgrade to Acrobat X.

I want to try Acrobat CD to see if it will generate PDFs from Word 2010 documents and preserve hyperlinks to bookmarks between documents correctly. I don't get work as I hope.
I am running Windows 7 Enterprise. I have Adobe Acrobat installed DC (the trial version).
I see the problem as shown in the following steps:
- Open Microsoft Word 2010
- Type a new text on the first page, but without adding a hyperlink yet.
- Save it as "origination.docx".
- Close this document.
- Open Microsoft Word 2010 again.
- Add text to the first page.
- Type CTRL + ENTER to insert a new page and on the second page, add text (it comes to check that the navigation between documents using hyperlinks on the bookmarks navigates to that favorite and is not just get stuck on the first page).
- Add a bookmark called "bookmark1.
- Save this document under "destination.docx".
- Close this document.
- Open the document "origination.docx".
- Insert a hyperlink to an existing document, and then select document "destination.docx". Click Favorites, and then select "bookmark1. Click ok:
- Save this document.
- Select Acrobat menu, then click on create a PDF file:
- Click the Options button and in the window, select Convert favorite Word, and then click Ok and click Ok again.
- This saves the pdf file and then open it in Acrobat.
- Then I see this:
- Only one left clicking this link does nothing.
- Double left click on the link does nothing.
- Right mouse click on this link brings up a context menu that does not show that it is a link:
- That's why I can't do anything on this link is what I expected: I think it's a link, but instead, it's just text that happens to have the color of a hyperlink (blue).
- I opened the origination.docx and inspect the properties of hyperlink. Placing the cursor over the link in Word 2010 says:
- Right mouse clicking on the link and selecting Edit the hyperlink:
- Shows:
- The bookmark is correct as far as I can tell: I see destination.docx #bookmark1 in the address field.
- Click Ok.
- Then CTRL-click on the link to make sure it opens on "destination.docx", and he successfully navigate this bookmark in Word.
So, what's the problem here? Must Acrobat DC some additional preferences changes so that it works?
Thank you
BG
(OT: there is no way to download files other than videos and images; otherwise I had to provide the .docx files).
The option that you chose "Create bookmarks" aims to create bookmarks in Acrobat, which is a completely different concept of Word bookmarks. Is it creates bookmarks? The option isn't about bookmarks to links, and it is not clear that it should work. Acrobat and PDF has never supported links TO a bookmark in a PDF document, somehow. Bookmarks are a feature of navigation manual, not a destination.

VBA Project Password dialog box shown after closing Excel when Acrobat PDFMaker COM Addin is enabled
I have developed many applications in different environments (ASP, SQL, VBA, VB, etc.) of the past 20 years. Recently I've had reports about a bug that I believe that the derivative of a com add-in called "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" (PDFMaker.OfficeAddin) developed by Adobe.
The application that generates the problem rests in Excel. There a Userform with a ListBox in it. The position of the listbox is different depending on several parameters and is changed programmatically. However, whenever the UserForm has proved and the user closes the file of the VBA project password dialog box appears. The pop up password must be cancelled 2 - 5 times before it disappears.
The problem of course is very annoying and difficult to explain to the customers who paid me for the solution. I spent a lot of time trying to solve the problem, but with little success.
Recently, I read in a forum that it was caused by the Acrobat PDFMaker COM Addin. I couldn't believe it, but when I disabled the add-in everything works correctly. In addition, in machines that does not add-in installed there is no problems reported.
How to reproduce the BUG (5 minutes) (Courtesy Randall):
To reproduce this bug anyone can just create a new workbook for MacroEnabled, 1) adds a UserForm with a close button, 2) protect the VBProject code (this is essential), 3) add code to load or. View the UserForm in the WB or Activate open procedure, 4) add Userform code change of ownership (for example. High =. Left =. (Caption =) in the Userform Init procedure (this is essential), 5) save and close the workbook. (6) revive the workbook by ensuring that the UserForm is opened and then close it via the button you have provided on the UserForm. (7) exit the WB via the file Menu option - leave (this is essential). Wait, wait what he (about 5 seconds) :-) invited password VBProject to appear, repeatable.
As a solution, I tried to disable the add-in at startup, but the line Application.
ComAddIns("
PDFMaker.OfficeAddin")
. Connect = Falsewill throw an error "This add-in is installed for all users on this computer and may only be connected or disconnected by an administrator."
I read in some forum that the issue occurs if the ActiveX DLL does not correctly release the reference to the workbook that contains the VBA project protected by password (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/280454)
Any help to solve the problem or find a workaround is very appreciated.
Niklas
Hi Niklas,
The above question has been saved as a Bug and has been corrected in Acrobat 11.0.1 update.

Adobe Acrobat ms and MS Office 2013.
problem with Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin. MS Office 2013, Windows 7, Adobe Acrobat DC all installed on a new PC. When I try to open Outlook, I get a message Outlook has stopped working and it does not open. If I disable it opens Outlook "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" very well. I need this add-in for Word, etc, so I can't leave this option disabled. How to make this work? It's the same situation on the new 4 different computers with the same configuration.

PDFMaker COM Addin keeps disabling Word in 2013
Having a very strange problem that I can't solve. The problem is that for a user, as part of their windows, the word 2013 user account constantly turns off the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin Add-In. It worked fine for months and just started failing apparently unannounced. If you are going to manage the COM add-ins you can click on the box and it will work and bring back the option Save As PDF etc, but the next time you open Word it will be disabled again. It works fine under the local Admin account.
I tried all of the following conditions:
1. uninstall / reinstall Acrobat Pro 11.0.0 and 11.0.14 update (for some reason, I get an error when trying to install the updates 11.0.15, 16 or 17 on the computers here but 14 seems to work in all areas)
2 repair Office 2013
3 regserv32 on the PDFMOfficeAddin.dll file (which is successful)
4 registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\PDFMaker.OfficeAddin\LoadBehavior is set to 3
5 check disabled add-ins in Word, nothing is disabled
6. uninstall / reinstall Acrobat Pro again, reboot after uninstallation and reboot after installation
Any other ideas? Currently I have the user just print to PDF that works, but I want to understand wtf is going on here. The only other thing I can think is that broke a Windows Update, but the same updates went to 200 + other computers here and no one else has reported this problem.
Hi winterelegy ,
Try to perform the steps in this link: why my Acrobat PDFmaker Office COM Addin tab keeps disappearnig of the word in 2013 Office (create a PDF file)
Let us know if it worked.
Thank you

Cannot create PDF in Adobe Acrobat 8
I use Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 and I can't create a pdf from a *.docx file and file.doc file. Word 2007 has the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM add-in listed as a trusted site.
When I try to create a PDF from multiple files, the error message is cannot convert the file type to PDF. Please remove this file from the list.
Is there a way to create a pdf file in Adobe 8 documents 2007 and 2003?
In WORD 2007, you should have a PDF menu to create value. Who is the creator of PDF that works with AA8. There could also be some problems with the operating system that you have not mentioned. AA8 is not certified for use on Win7 and is a potential problem. I suspect that you don't have a PDF Maker for active AA8 in WORD. You can still print to the Adobe PDF printer to create a PDF file, you lose just a part of the bookmark and related options.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro comes with Adobe Design Premium cannot start. I found the original CD and reinstalled the program. The installation went all right during the update (9.5.5 version) who could not launch. What is the schedule of Adobe for fixing the update?
[Moved from the endorsement, general, all Adobe forums Lounge for a specific support by product - moderator forum]
Acrobat 9 and Acrobat X are out of support, as well as all versions of Creative Suite. Nothing will happen if they stop working (indeed, Adobe will probably celebrate).

Acrobat pdfmaker com addin for word 2010 crashes when processing large files
I try to use pdfmaker com plugin for word 2010 to create a PDF document. Whenever I have try and create the document, the addin acrobat crashes Word.
I tried to do this on x 86 and x 64 machine and it failed twice at around the point about even (during/immediately after determining the bookmarks).
The document is large (862 pages, 2425 bookmarks, 311 300 DPI graphic, for a total size of the 49.2MiB file)
I can generate the PDF by printing only, but the question of the use of the pdfmaker is so that we will not have to perform 2.5 K manual reticulations.
