PDFMaker COM Addin keeps disabling Word in 2013

Having a very strange problem that I can't solve. The problem is that for a user, as part of their windows, the word 2013 user account constantly turns off the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin Add-In. It worked fine for months and just started failing apparently unannounced. If you are going to manage the COM add-ins you can click on the box and it will work and bring back the option Save As PDF etc, but the next time you open Word it will be disabled again. It works fine under the local Admin account.

I tried all of the following conditions:

1. uninstall / reinstall Acrobat Pro 11.0.0 and 11.0.14 update (for some reason, I get an error when trying to install the updates 11.0.15, 16 or 17 on the computers here but 14 seems to work in all areas)

2 repair Office 2013

3 regserv32 on the PDFMOfficeAddin.dll file (which is successful)

4 registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\PDFMaker.OfficeAddin\LoadBehavior is set to 3

5 check disabled add-ins in Word, nothing is disabled

6. uninstall / reinstall Acrobat Pro again, reboot after uninstallation and reboot after installation

Any other ideas? Currently I have the user just print to PDF that works, but I want to understand wtf is going on here. The only other thing I can think is that broke a Windows Update, but the same updates went to 200 + other computers here and no one else has reported this problem.

Hi winterelegy ,

Try to perform the steps in this link: why my Acrobat PDFmaker Office COM Addin tab keeps disappearnig of the word in 2013 Office (create a PDF file)

Let us know if it worked.

Thank you

Shivam

VBA Project Password dialog box shown after closing Excel when Acrobat PDFMaker COM Addin is enabled

I have developed many applications in different environments (ASP, SQL, VBA, VB, etc.) of the past 20 years. Recently I've had reports about a bug that I believe that the derivative of a com add-in called "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" (PDFMaker.OfficeAddin) developed by Adobe.

The application that generates the problem rests in Excel. There a Userform with a ListBox in it. The position of the listbox is different depending on several parameters and is changed programmatically. However, whenever the UserForm has proved and the user closes the file of the VBA project password dialog box appears. The pop up password must be cancelled 2 - 5 times before it disappears.

The problem of course is very annoying and difficult to explain to the customers who paid me for the solution. I spent a lot of time trying to solve the problem, but with little success.

Recently, I read in a forum that it was caused by the Acrobat PDFMaker COM Addin. I couldn't believe it, but when I disabled the add-in everything works correctly. In addition, in machines that does not add-in installed there is no problems reported.

    pens-after-closing-the-Excel-workbook http://www.excelguru.ca/forums/showthread.php?1009-quot-VBA-Project-Password-quot-Window-o

How to reproduce the BUG (5 minutes) (Courtesy Randall):

To reproduce this bug anyone can just create a new workbook for MacroEnabled, 1) adds a UserForm with a close button, 2) protect the VBProject code (this is essential), 3) add code to load or. View the UserForm in the WB or Activate open procedure, 4) add Userform code change of ownership (for example. High =. Left =. (Caption =) in the Userform Init procedure (this is essential), 5) save and close the workbook. (6) revive the workbook by ensuring that the UserForm is opened and then close it via the button you have provided on the UserForm. (7) exit the WB via the file Menu option - leave (this is essential). Wait, wait what he (about 5 seconds) :-) invited password VBProject to appear, repeatable.

As a solution, I tried to disable the add-in at startup, but the line Application. ComAddIns("PDFMaker.OfficeAddin ") . Connect = False

will throw an error "This add-in is installed for all users on this computer and may only be connected or disconnected by an administrator."

I read in some forum that the issue occurs if the ActiveX DLL does not correctly release the reference to the workbook that contains the VBA project protected by password (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/280454)

Any help to solve the problem or find a workaround is very appreciated.

    Hi Niklas,

The above question has been saved as a Bug and has been corrected in Acrobat 11.0.1 update.

  • Acrobat pdfmaker com addin for word 2010 crashes when processing large files

I try to use pdfmaker com plugin for word 2010 to create a PDF document. Whenever I have try and create the document, the addin acrobat crashes Word.

I tried to do this on x 86 and x 64 machine and it failed twice at around the point about even (during/immediately after determining the bookmarks).

The document is large (862 pages, 2425 bookmarks, 311 300 DPI graphic, for a total size of the 49.2MiB file)

I can generate the PDF by printing only, but the question of the use of the pdfmaker is so that we will not have to perform 2.5 K manual reticulations.

  • Touchpad keeps disabled at startup of windows on satellite

The touchpad on my laptop keeps disabled whenever I start my computer, I noticed that the icon appears in my task bar which is the same image on my F9 key of the circular on the touchpad cross, however once I press keys Fn + F9 touchpad works fine until I have restart the laptop

If you have some problems with the laptop stops procedure then maybe what happens because some programs and applications are run in the background of the operating system and cannot be disabled.
For the most part reinstall this application could solve these problems.

I m not 100% sure if it can help solve the problem of the touchpad, but try to reinstall the driver for the touchpad and the utility. See the Toshiba page for updates.

In addition, you can check the touchpad settings in the control panel in option mouse

I worked on a text document in Word 2013.

Also do not go the other gray image. I don't know what I did or did not correctly.

I tried different things. I tried the update from Adobe, which resulted in a failure.

I downloaded the new DC Acrobat who simply worse!

    Help, please

    Cheers ~ JMLaurman ~.

    Hello

You have the version of office of MS Reader/Acrobat but posted the question in the wrong forum.  This forum (all communities > Reader/Acrobat DC for mobile) corresponds to the mobile version.

On your computer Windows, please try to open the PDF document in other non Adobe PDF viewers to see if the image becomes gray.  You can even drag and drop your PDF from Google Chrome (browser) document to open it.

If most PDF viewers that you have tried to show the grey area, you can conclude that the PDF document (generated by Microsoft Word 2013) itself is defective.  This means that Microsoft Word 2013 bug (s) to convert Word to PDF.

I recommend you to visit the site of Support of Microsoft Word 2013 to get answers.

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/product/Office/Word-2013

    I hope this helps.

  • Libretto W100 - disable Word suggestion

    Hello
When I type on the virtual keyboard on the Libretto w100, a box with word suggestions appear by default. The virtual keyboard has a button to disable this feature (a circle with A9 (?) in orange and blue), but it is enabled by default. I would like to disable this permanently. Someone knows how to do this?

    Thank you / Anfanglir

    Great! Thanks for the comments!

  • When I activate a plugin in Firefox 4 disable Word appears next to the name of software plugin. How can I stop this from happening?

I use Win 7 and just upgraded to Firefox 4. In my plugin section, when I activate a program, the word disabled immediately appears next to the program name. This happens to every program plugin I have.
So, when I use Firefox and the need for a plugin is necessary, I received a message telling me that this program is disabled even if the word activate will still appear on the plugin line. I never had this problem in one of the Firefox 3 browsers. How can I fix this problem?

It could be that the plugin you are trying activate is not compatible with Firefox 4 and leaves people with reduced mobility.

If a plugin is disabled, it will have the word "enable" next to him; There is a button for you to click to activate the plugin, and not a label describing the status of plugin.

If I've got it completely wrong, please post a screenshot.

  • Disable Word suggestion / insertion / SureType in a particular EditField in OS 5.0

    Hello world

I have a simple question... anyone know if it is possible to disable the word suggestion popup that happens when you start typing in an EditField in OS 5.0? This has not happened before in OS 4.6/4.7 (or at least on the storm he didn't.) On the BlackBerry with physical keyboards an autosuggest similar function this way).

Here is a screenshot of what I mean.

Here I am typing "bleach". However by "wheat," the operating system starts suggesting words. Normally, I wouldn't care, except that this particular EditField is used as function to find; as long as the user types, it scrolls to a corresponding item in the ListView. If the operating system is trying to AutoComplete a Word while my application is unable to match the word correctly (even if the user typed "blan" getText() returns 'dark').

I checked the different flags of style for EditField, but so far I have not found anything to disable this option. I am currently using EditField.NO_LEARNING flags | EditField.NON_SPELLCHECKABLE | EditField.NO_NEWLINE.

Anyone have any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated... This isn't a huge problem, but it is a little annoying and it reduces the usefulness of my search function since it is that once you have typed the entire word.

Try your BasicEditField like TextField.NO_COMPLEX_INPUT style.

  • Add-on of the Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker DC in Office 2010 Word does not store the bookmarks in the form of links

I want to try Acrobat CD to see if it will generate PDFs from Word 2010 documents and preserve hyperlinks to bookmarks between documents correctly. I don't get work as I hope.

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise. I have Adobe Acrobat installed DC (the trial version).

I see the problem as shown in the following steps:

    1. Open Microsoft Word 2010
    2. Type a new text on the first page, but without adding a hyperlink yet.
    3. Save it as "origination.docx".
    4. Close this document.
    5. Open Microsoft Word 2010 again.
    6. Add text to the first page.
    7. Type CTRL + ENTER to insert a new page and on the second page, add text (it comes to check that the navigation between documents using hyperlinks on the bookmarks navigates to that favorite and is not just get stuck on the first page).
    8. Add a bookmark called "bookmark1.
    9. Save this document under "destination.docx".
    10. Close this document.
    11. Open the document "origination.docx".
    12. Insert a hyperlink to an existing document, and then select document "destination.docx". Click Favorites, and then select "bookmark1. Click ok:http://i.stack.imgur.com/fthuv.png
    13. Save this document.
    14. Select Acrobat menu, then click on create a PDF file:
    15. Click the Options button and in the window, select Convert favorite Word, and then click Ok and click Ok again.
    16. This saves the pdf file and then open it in Acrobat.
    17. Then I see this:
    18. Only one left clicking this link does nothing.
    19. Double left click on the link does nothing.
    20. Right mouse click on this link brings up a context menu that does not show that it is a link:
    21. That's why I can't do anything on this link is what I expected: I think it's a link, but instead, it's just text that happens to have the color of a hyperlink (blue).
    22. I opened the origination.docx and inspect the properties of hyperlink. Placing the cursor over the link in Word 2010 says:
    23. Right mouse clicking on the link and selecting Edit the hyperlink:
    24. Shows:
    25. The bookmark is correct as far as I can tell: I see destination.docx #bookmark1 in the address field.
    26. Click Ok.
    27. Then CTRL-click on the link to make sure it opens on "destination.docx", and he successfully navigate this bookmark in Word.

So, what's the problem here?  Must Acrobat DC some additional preferences changes so that it works?

    Thank you

    BG

(OT: there is no way to download files other than videos and images; otherwise I had to provide the .docx files).

The option that you chose "Create bookmarks" aims to create bookmarks in Acrobat, which is a completely different concept of Word bookmarks. Is it creates bookmarks? The option isn't about bookmarks to links, and it is not clear that it should work.  Acrobat and PDF has never supported links TO a bookmark in a PDF document, somehow. Bookmarks are a feature of navigation manual, not a destination.
