Adobe AIR for BB10

Sorry for a fundamental question about AIR for BB10. I have several AIR apps on PlayBook and now reuse for BB10 phone.  Under AIR Developer documentation refers only to PlayBook.  Is the AIR process/tools for a phone BB10 even it was for PlayBook?  Is it simply a matter of target an existing AIR application to a different screen and then size by selecting a phone BB10 device in the App Store to get the published application?  What version of AIR is supported?

It's a different SDK for BB10.  On the micro-AIR site, there are links for BB10 and PlayBook SDK:

https://developer.BlackBerry.com/air/download/

And per page Configuration required:

https://developer.BlackBerry.com/air/download/requirements_bb10

you want AIR 3.1 ('or more', but I recommend stick you with 3.1 until whenever)

RIM upgraded AIR support)

    I want to use the QNX events in my AIR for BB10 application in Flash Professional. As the playbook, am I supposed to add a few swc files in order to use the events I get compilation error?

    I want to use "CardCloseEvent", but it gives compile error.

    Thank you!

    No worries,

    GoTo file > settings Actionscript > library path

    Press on the +, then navigate to the DONKEY

    Note: If it does not allow you to add DONKEY - make a copy and rename it to SWF.  He worked for Flash Builder 4.5.

    For each ALBUM, you may need to click on it and press the I button and change it externally.

    I don't know how Flash Pro builds your packages well-, but put in right place.

    I see that beta support has been added for Android TV in one of the beta versions of AIR 20. Read this discussion:

    AIR 20.0.0.230 iOS install questions and support Android TV has stopped working

    It seems that you would have used equip 185 and not the final version. Or you can try an AIR 21, or 22 AIR beta version.

  • Partial Wakelock in Adobe Air for Android

    I develop Adobe Air (for Android) application that is designed to be constantly turned on. App has operations based event. However, when the phone goes to sleep mode app is able to perform only one or a few events in a second which is not good enough. AIR SystemIdleMode.KEEP_AWAKE - mode is not an alternative because it is too consuming battery.

    I am looking for a solution when the phone is allowed to enter the mode 'sleep' (screen is off), but still the CPU performance are not radically fallen. Not sure Android part wakelock-mode does the job and is available through DONKEY?

    What type of event you are missing to be able to manipulate during sleep? According to the documentation from Adobe AIR decreases the rate of 4 frames per second when it is moved to the background or becomes inactive. Im guessing that the screen, disabling account in this respect and that is probably a reason as to why you have found only a few events a second, but I can't say for sure without knowing what type of event you use. In regards Android PowerManager WAKE_LOCK function, Google documentation says that you should not use this API unless you absolutely, and if you have to use it, you use it and do with it as soon as possible as long as this hurts API independence (they have same "BOLD" the part about the battery life). What you try to do that requires that the app is always on? More details can help myself or others provide other options to accomplish what you are trying to do. If you must use the PowerManager, you should be able to create a DONKEY to turn on and off the WAKE_LOCK mode, but could only help the side Android/Java things and you might need to move your event handling during the side of things because Java application of AIR will be always abandoned at 4 frames per second when the screen turns off.

  • Problems with BBC iPlayer Desktop and Adobe Air for Mac

    I would be grateful to anyone who can help me with a problem I have on my laptop computer running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3.I has problems running BBC iPlayer Desktop, and I suspect that it is caused by Adobe Air.

    Recently, I was invited to update Adobe Air to the latest version (from February 2012) and after I updated the program, it started to cause problems when I used BBC iPlayer desktop.

    The first problem is that I was unable to play any programs downloaded mode full screen-, I have noticed that the sound is played, not the video.

    Secondly, a few weeks after the beginning of this problem, all my TV programs have mysteriously disappeared.

    My last problem is that whenever I run the BBC iPlayer application it is impossible to download new programs - when I am connected to the internet, the application always says he's 'offline '.

    I tried to solve the problem by rebooting my computer, uninstall and reinstall the BBC iPlayer, deactivation and reactivation of my firewall, connection to the internet in different places, but this has not solved the problem.

    I tried to uninstall Adobe Air, but the installation package says it is "corrupted". So I tried to download and reinstall the application from the adobe website, but already, the computer recognizes that the application is installed. either - I can't uninstall or reinstall Adobe Air.

    I contacted the support of BBC iPlayer and they are unable to help - direct me to your Web site. I have read several other topics of discussion published on this site but not found the solution that I'm looking.

    Please some can help me to solve this problem, helping me to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Air for Mac?

    I'm not very technical, mind - for example - I don't know what log files are or how to find them - so please explain as simply as possible.

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

    Could you try to delete the folder preferences of BBC iPlayer then restarting iPlayer to see if that helps?  You should be able to find this in ~/Library/preferences.  Find the folder from BBCiPlayerDesktop and a long series of characters and move or rename this folder.

    Thank you
    Chris

    I created an application on Adobe AIR for Android platform, which requires for AIR. The app is very popular in the Android Market, but many users complain of problems with the installation of the Adobe Air runtime.

  • Adobe Air for Flash CS6 works only on Android 5.0.2

    Hello

    I tried to publish a game that I have developed in Adobe Flash CS6 using the Adobe Air platform.

    I've done this countless times before, I'm not new to develop in Flash.

    Even if everyone thinks that HTML5 will take over as "Flash is dead" I still think it's a great development platform.

    I have trouble getting my APK files to run on Android 5.0.2 (Lolipop) without apparent reason.

    If I choose to install AIR separately, it works. If I decide to incorporate it into the APK, it gives an error immediately after the launch of the app.

    There is no error code and nothing I can do reference. just an error "The Application was able to start".

    I would be grateful if someone could help, thanks.

    This article was written 7 months ago, there is a good chance that the AIR is ok with 5 Android now. Even the article, that it was fixed in 5.0.1.

    AIR installed on the computer is not the same as the AIR SDK. You don't want to not download either version of the AIR SDK:

    Download Adobe AIR SDK

    or download the latest beta, which is be AIR 19:

    Download Adobe AIR 19 Beta - Adobe Labs

    Once it has downloaded and unzipped, you will have a record. Now go to the Help menu of Flash Pro and select managed Adobe AIR SDK...

    Here, you can add an item and navigate to where the folder is located. It can be anywhere, I tend to leave in my downloads folder.

    If you were to take the file act.jar of this article it would be things likely to mess. But just as a point of interest to Flash Pro users, the file is located in the SDK folder, inside the lib folder.

    So, the short version of what I hope are you currently build for AIR 3.2, who would have a chance with the latest versions of Android, and edit using AIR 18 or 19 would be a good idea.

  • Adobe Air for desktop - Temp folder (windows 7)?

    Hello!

    Just a simple question, where I can find and delete internet files cached (Temp) related to Adobe Air Desktop on windows 7?

    My desktop Air application downloads a file text from Internet afer every run.

    Now when I change the text online file, it always loads the old text file cached and does not re - download the new text file.

    Thank you very much

    Best of all for you all

    Try using this:

    var urlr: URLRequest = new URLRequest();

    urlr.cacheResponse = false;

    If it won't help - use another method. Add each url something like '? NoCache = "+ math. Random ();

  • Adobe AIR for Android update fails to UPDATE

  • Adobe AIR for mobile expectations and misconceptions?

    Hello, I'm a bit confused by the contents published by Adobe, who claims that AIR for Android or iOS publication creates a fully native application.

    For example, in this Adobe Developer Connection article (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/logged_in/abansod_iphone.html) written in May 2011, the following applications are made:

    "Since we are able to compile ActionScript to the advance ARM, the application gets all the benefits that would provide the JIT and the license compliance need not be lasting in the final application."

    "When you build your app for iOS, there is no interpreted code and no runtime in your final binary." Your application is really an application native iOS. »

    After reading a lot of information like this from Adobe and other sources, I advanced and bought an Android phone. After graduating in reality the. Published in Flash Pro CS 5.5 on the phone and installed apks, he of course gave me the message that I needed to install Adobe AIR to run the program.

    How this can be "truly a native app? The same thing happens in iOS, obviously. Flash works in a web browser a "truly native app" in this case? The extra step of download users the Adobe AIR package makes it all seem so cooked half compared to actual native applications. I guess there is no way AIR package with your app? Not that this is a great alternative, but I don't see what else better this situation.

    It seems that you may be a little confused iOS with Android. Article that you referenced spoke only of iOS, Android not. So, Yes, they were right.

    Now, there is a new option in AIR 3 that allows you to pack your WITH the AIR Runtime for Android applications. This is called "Captive Runtime" and allows you to create applications that do not need to reach out to grab AIR everything on the market because it is already packed.

    Here is more information on the Runtime in captivity:

    http://www.tricedesigns.com/2011/08/10/air-3-0-captive-runtime/

    Here's how you can set up Flash Pro with AIR3:

    http://www.swfgeek.NET/2011/09/26/targeting-Flash-Player-11-RC1-air-3-RC1-in-Flash-profess international-cs5-5 /.

    Note that if you use Flash Pro to create an application with AIR 3 you actually will consolidate the app with the command line. The tool is not yet available in the Flash authoring environment.

    Here's how you can do this:

    It is similar to this, but with slightly different switches. There is more information in the command line help.

  • Adobe Air for iOS - SQLError: ' #3115 error ' no such table ".

    I'm developing Adobe Air application for iOS with sqlite on that. When running on my local machine, it worked like charm (add, edit and delete). Unfortunately, when tried to run on the iPAD, it gives me the following error:

    SQLError: Details ' Error #3115',:' no such table: ' tblEmploye ", operation: 'run', detailID:"2013".

    Here is my code when opening the sqlite database: * data is saved to the directory of the current application where all the files are stored:

            exampleDBFile = File.documentsDirectory.resolvePath("mydb.db");

            if (exampleDBFile==null || !exampleDBFile.exists) {
                MovieClip(root).mcSong.visible = false;
                MovieClip(root).mcAlert.visible = true;
                MovieClip(root).mcAlert.enabled = true;
                MovieClip(root).mcAlert.txtErrorMessage.text = "Database not found";
            }
            exampleDB = new SQLConnection();

            exampleDB.addEventListener(SQLEvent.OPEN, onExampleDBOpened);
            exampleDB.addEventListener(SQLErrorEvent.ERROR, onExampleDBError);

            //exampleDB.openAsync(exampleDBFile);
            exampleDB.open(exampleDBFile);

    I also tried to use the following but still no luck

    exampleDBFile = File.applicationDirectory.resolvePath("mydb.db");

    using this, I get a different error: Error: Error #3104

    And here is the code for adding new entries

            sqlInsert = "insert into tblLyrics (empName, empDesc) values
                        ('"+ strReplace(txtSearchMe.text, "'", "") + "','"+ strReplace(txtContent.text,"'","") +"')";
            dbStatement.text = sqlInsert;
            dbStatement.addEventListener(SQLEvent.RESULT, onDBStatementInsertResult);
            dbStatement.execute();

    Hoping for your advice...

    Hello

    @uxavenue

    to add something to the post of samia:

    -on iOS your application directory is in 'read only' (at least when using native application)-so resources in the application directory (in the terminology of the Air - not iOS SDK SDK) may not be changed/written/updated

    -you could ship already created database sqlite with your application files, but must be copied to the writable to the application directory - for example documents. This directory is accessible via:

    File.documentsDirectory

    -When your application starts, you could do more:

    (1) build the path to the path of database documents

    (2) check if the database in this path exists (if this file exists)

    (3) if the file does not exist yet either copy in this path of the resource directory of the application (where you consolidate during the generation of project) OR create the new empty database using all these CREATE table and then INSERT statements required to create the new new copy of database

    (4) on each next start so check if the file exists at #2 jump creation/copy of database and simply start using it.

    Kind regards

    Peter

  • Adobe AIR for Android as3 codes work only not for this one project

    I am using the accelerometer in my flash game, which works for all the other projects I'm trying, but for some reason any on a project if I try to use it I get, using the same code that I've used before, such as this one.

    1046: type was not found or is not a constant of compilation: accelerometer.

    1180: call to a method may be undefined, accelerometer.

    It is a quite old file, not if old, then, are there files I have to add to make it work or I need to change the settings? It's very frustrating, I don't know what the problem might be. Can someone help me?

    The error message indicates it does not find the class.  Make sure you import it:

    import flash.sensors.Accelerometer;

  • How can I repackage Adobe Air and updates to it in PKG format for deployment on Mac?

    We have about 200 Macs in our Organization and push deployments using JAMF Casper (which requires installers to PKG format).  I'm regularly asked by our security service to apply updates to Adobe Air for security reasons.  So my question is - how I repackage the AIR installer and updates to PKG format so I can deploy them to Casper?

    I looked at Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition - and it does not even recognize the AIR installer as an installer of Adobe.

    Any info you can provide would be much appreciated.

    You might be able to do by creating a bootstrapping application to start the installation program.  Here are a few documents about the distribution of AIR in enterprise environments as well as a link to our distribution agreement.
