  I have successfully solve my problems today after reading some related problems. The solution came to me when windows wouldn't let me not delete old files PSE 8 left in the Programs(x86) /Adobe. folder Windows says a file or files are used by an open application and therefore did not deletions. Therefore suggested to me that Photoshop Elements 8 can not completely completely uninstalled and was interfering with the functioning of the Applications Adobe handler.

  The story of my experience is that I was running windows 7 (64-bit) and used the PSE 8. When I bought the PSE 13 I installed without removing the PSE 8 to be sure that the PSE 13 would work first. It worked but I got the errors mentioned above, that is to say, missing or damaged Applications manager not able to install updates. I uninstalled PSE 8 but which did not correct these problems.   9. download and install 10 PSE using the user to the administrator for Windows 10. Then downloaded and installed update 10.1 PSE.

  PES 10 now works with the error messages now at startup and updates work

  -Now open the command prompt with ""run as Administrator " mode"

  I used my cs5.5 Production Premium software for over 3 years with no problems at all. Today, I tried to open the Adobe Application Manager window popped up and Illustrator.   Delete the folder PDApp and try the upgrade installation.

  Rename the OOBE folder and try to install the upgrade.

  Uninstall Adobe Application Manager and try to install the upgrade.

  LR5 uninstalling, reinstalling LR5 and try to install the upgrade.

  Nothing works.

  Hello Atul and thanks for responding.  Adobe support seems a little disjointed because I offered this solution through several cats and now this forum.  Ultimately what worked for me was adjusting the permissions of read/write on the Application Support folder.

  1. open Macintosh HD

  2. open a library

  3. Select the Application Support folder.

  3 right-click and select information.  -Pop-up is displayed.

  4. click on the padlock on the bottom right pop to unlock (user will have to enter the admin password)

  5. last section, under sharing & permissions, ensure that the administrator and the user tries to install "writing &" can.

  6. for the administrator and user, click options in the lower part (looks like a gear) and choose "apply to the elements included...". »

  Retry installation...

  If I try to download creative cloud and install it, it opens Adobe Application Manager and stop there. Does not install creative cloud.

  I also tried to uninstall MAO, but it seems that I couldn't, so I used the Adobe cleaning tool and I eliminate AAM. Then I downloaded the installer of creative cloud again and I tried to install it, but it installed Adobe Application Manager instead!

  For Mac OS Snow leopard Desktop Application 10.6.8 creative Cloud is not compatible. It is compatible with Mac 10.7 and later.

  10.6.8 works with Adobe Application Manager only. This is the reason why, regardless of how many times you try to install creative cloud, it will install Adobe Application manager.
