  Duncan, assuming that you are connected to an account that requires administrator privileges, then please try to temporarily disable your user account control.

  If you continue to receive the same error so I would recommend creating a new local administrator account and trying to update the applications there.

  CC2015 update cannot be applied msg Adobe Application Manager is already running, close all instances before you apply the updates.  AAM does not run in another instance.  No sync from Mac OSX here 10.10.4, no internet connection problem, Adobe isn't talking/synchronization with me.  Customer support bounces back link with.  Impossible to contact by phone as local network does not support starting with 800 phone numbers.  Help!

  I am a subscriber of Mac Adobe CC 2015 and occasionally a glitch of the old Adobe Application Manager icon in the menu bar on my screen with the same updates as the new CC icon. Can I uninstall Adobe Application Manager and just keep the CC menu? Why are there not to uninstall when I upgraded?

  Which operating system you are using?

  > Restart your computer and then try to update again.

  Or

  Mac: Adobe all force them to leave the activity monitor processes (for example Adobe application manager, sync Core, Desktop Services, broker CIB Adobe Adobe, Adobe Crash demon etc..)

  Windows: Force quit Adobe all processes from the Task Manager (for example Adobe application manager, sync Core, Office Services, Adobe, broker IPC from Adobe, Adobe Crash demon etc..)

  just finished a Skype session help a friend who doesn't have able to start Adobe Muse after upgrading Adobe Air. Presumable that he upgraded to the 20.0 version, because Adobe Muse suggested this. (He uninstalled Air while talking to me without taking all the Air release notes, so I do not know what exact version he upgraded to.)

  Hardware/software specifications in this case are:

  MacBook Pro
  Mac OS x 10.6.8
  Muse CC v.7.4.30

  I solved the problem like this:

  1. uninstall the updated version of the Air.

  2 uninstall Adobe Muse

  3. install Adobe Air v.16 from there:

  Find and download archived versions of Adobe AIR SDK

  Scroll down for runtime Adobe AIR 16 downloads and installed.

  4. install Adobe Muse CC of the Adobe Application Manager v.9.0.0.244

  When opening a project file refuse to Air update. Reject the message.

  I'll bring back, if he's in trouble not having no Air 20.0 not installed.

  The questions are:

  Adobe often uses the AIR for new applications platform, because it's easier for a team of developers to start off this way and rapid changes in demand. The AIR is actually a sort of base of Flash for applications, as the Flash plugin that runs SWF files in a browser. If Muse was actually a Flash application for a ling time. However, Muse has left the AIR with version 8 of June 2015platform. (I think version 7 was the last AIR-based). Adobe has helped Muse team to rebuild the entire application in the 'official' for Mac and Windowsprogramming language that offers much more stable and faster results.

  If I look at the version historyof the Adobe AIR, I can see that the version 13 and 14 are from the same era, so Muse must be able to work with this version. Newer versions could help to smooth the functioning of the Muse, but I don't know if the latest version can do no wrong and 'kill' this old version of Muse .

  This page you can read about the requirements for versions of Adobe Muse. It clearly states that older versions of "32-bit" (with AIR) are not supported anymore. So if Adobe changed air too in recent versions, it might indeed be dangerous Muse...

Now, I have problem with Revel as does the entore would be and accidentally stumble on your answer to this question. As I followed the links to help directly from Revel help, I ask you for help. My questions are never an answer help local pages with program itself can be found on the adobe site and after days looking for something similar to the problem, adobe managed to wear down me and I give up and get rid of the program.  Never once, I was able to only use items 11 due to installation and interfaqce problems wuth no response.  I rarely use Photoshop because despite what is said how easy it is to accomplish complex tasks, I found that there is nothing in Photoshop which cannot be done without all the fuss that allows to program and cheaper also. The only reason why I learned so much about what can do other programs is extra volume, I had delays and refusals of help from Adobe. If you have the time could you please tell me how to find discussions of revel or where ever is that my question has finished?

  Adobe application manager is the application of base for all Creative Suite, Adobe products and is required for the download functionality, deployment, operation and update. Remove Adobe Application Manager on your machine can cause incorrect operation of your product like Photoshop and Prime Elements in your case.  So my recommendation would be not not to remove Adobe Application Manager on your machine.

  Run the cleanup tool to remove all remnants of previous installations and re - install Adobe Application Manager. You can download the tool for cleaning of Acrobat from the link below:

  Make sure you select the right options while using the cleaning tool to uninstall Acrobat 11 only and not previous versions.

  Azma option to test or try the version in English, to allow users to download and try out the trial version of the software available through creative cloud.  Adobe Application Manager should be to detect applications that are already installed, but it appears in your case for once it doesn't detect the applications already installed.
