  Hi, John! Thanks for joining me. I managed to do the work. I downloaded the two files: the file exe and 7z file (I think that's what it was called). The trick was to put them both in the same folder and then run the install. I'm so used to the assistants to do all this automatically for me it took me a while to understand the problem.

  How can I do that.

  When I try the third button appears when I click on one of the two buttons and not after I clicked on both.

  I suspected this to be the case. No, all shares advanced/shared in Captivate are event-driven. The conditional action will never be executed. I have a lot of examples on my blog for this use case, but post-it (yet) in this thread. BTW: I understand German (I'm Flemish) but do not dare to write in German.

  In a conditional action, you can have several decisions, which are all executed in the order: orders are from top to bottom, are decisions from the left to the humble. You will need to integrate the standard and the conditional action in a conditional action to be triggered by the buttons. Now that you have only one decision (indicated as "Unnamed" and choice in your screenshot), this decision should be the second decision. You don't need to put anything in the ELSE part, but I still don't know the break of the buttons, reason why I asked for a screenshot of the timeline. Your conditional action should look like this (sorry for the English terminology).

  The decision to "Always" 1 I like to cite the decisions and everything in my projects

  IF 1 is equal to 1

  Assign the v_button1 with 1

  Disable Button1

  Hide Button1

  See the Group1

  No Else part for this decision, you must edit the double button 2

  I am using captivate 8

  It seems that you don't know how the question slides are set in Captivate. The next button has a dual functionality: during the quiz, it's a Skip button, which means no results at all. It is necessary during the review to avoid blocking of the user on question slides. If you don't provide a review of the quiz, you can get rid of the next key completely. If you provide a review, drag the next under the Clear button button (can be done on the master quiz slides). This way it won't be visible during quiz, but becomes visible during examination where the Clear key is automatically deleted.

  This changed in Captivate 9, but you're still on 8.

  If you have or get a subscription to Captivate, then you should be able to run the old version if you want and upgrade every time you should be...

  In theory if you wanted to, you could even install & run the previous version on one of your computers and the most recent version on another.

  I'm sure that a lot of people came through that, but I hope someone has a solution or workaround. With redirected profiles or roaming, the default locations for the publication of files or the location of the project cache is written to the documents folder of the user who is a network location. Space is extremely limited and whenever you launch Adobe Captivate, a warning appears saying "the folder specified for Project Cache (Preferences > General settings) is located on a shared network drive." For best performance, specify a local folder as Project Cache. »

  We have tried edit the msi file, looking for changes in the registry and can't seem to find something that would allow us to change this without having to do it manually by the user, but as I understand it, the settings can go back to use the network share on a restart. For a lab environment where students can use this software for various projects, it does not seem like Adobe Captivate is a viable option in a large company or a school that uses redirected profiles or roaming. I don't know why this cannot be changed or modified in the installation package. It would be a really nice and obvious feature that should be available!

  So anyone has suggestions or solutions to solve this problem, then we might be able to use this software on our campus? Any help is appreciated.

  As you probably know Adobe, like Apple, don't really cares about deployments in enterprise environments. They seem to think that these issues should be unloaded on business IT or users. As you have likely encountered users do not want to be bothered wth such things and can be very unpleasant when asked to do so.

  The key is that you may need to try to convince the community of users to adopt a product that has been designed for enterprise deployment.

  Hi I wanted to know the compatibility with browsers when I publish a SWF using Adobe Captivate 6.  It supports all browsers? Even older versions of Internet Explorer?

  The question you should ask is what versions of Flash Player supports.  And the answer is: the versions of Flash Player 9 to 11.

  If your browser (even a former) is able to run these versions of Flash Player, then you can be sure content Captivate SWF can work in it.

  My current client is still on IE7 with Flash Player 10.3 and content Captivate works very well.

• Adobe Captivate 5 - I need to add a mouse movement to a slide that does not...

  I am trying to create training/videos for a drawing software.  Captivate recognizes not that there is a movement of the mouse, as the mouse does not 'click' at the end of the movement, only the Enter key is used.  I need to add a mouse movement so that my clients can see the action taking place better.  I can't find how to add a mouse movement to a slide that is not a mouse already assigned to it.  Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.  Furthermore, I already tried a copy of another mouse slide... • Adobe Captivate 4 allows to produce output in the format H.264?

  OK, I am not sure my own question.  My Department is probably buy some Captivate of additional licenses for a project.  Among the technicians asked one of my colleagues if Captivate licenses that we purchase will allow us to publish to the H.264 format.

  I did not Captivate 4, but I'm guessing that the answer is 'no '.  According to my understanding, H.264 is the codec for MPEG-4 video format used by iTunes, YouTube, etc.  Not that I understand exactly what a codec is.

  My assumption is that it would take a .swf video converter to publish Captivate files in H.264 format.

  Is this correct?  Or this part of the ability of Adobe Captivate 4?

  Captivate is preferable to publish the swf format that is interactive. No video format does offer this interactivity. Your colleague is clearly no user interaction, or, perhaps, it simply does not know. In this case, CP4 shouldn't be your favorite authoring tool.

  Try installing Adobe Captivate 2 in 64-bit Windows 7, I get an error message saying "InstallShield Wizard has been interrupted... "Windows 7 compatibility tool has been no help. Captivate 2 was installed correctly in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or 3 (I can't remember which). Why it will not install in Windows 7, and how can I fix the problem?

  Adobe Captivate 2 is not compatible for use with Windows 7. Check out the following link.

  You can try to install in compatibility mode and see if it helps.

  (a) right click on the configuration file (the file setup.exe for the software), and then select Properties.

  (b) now, click on the Compatibility tab and check the box that says run this program in compatibility mode for.

  (c) select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Click on apply and OK.

  (d) now right-click on the configuration file and select run as administrator and follow the normal installation procedure. Check to see if it helps.

  Hi all!

  I tried to reinstall my adobe captivate 9.0 on my PC that I recently uninstalled but the software requires the serial number of the product that I have ever received. So I couldn't reinstall the application on my system. I'm on a recurring monthly for a period of one year and I received emails from adobe asking me to update my credit card information. Could someone please advise on how to on this subject?

  If you have a subscription license, sign in with your Adobe ID (the one used for the subscription). Install the trial version of Captivate and when you start, your ID will be recognized.
