Adobe cloud says "download error".

I had the cloud installed for almost a year now and everything has been fine. Then, possibly after the Fireworks, I installed a week ago, or so, it doesn't let me update my apps and, worse still, crashes After Effects on the launch.

I have been with Adobe support online, where a helpful guy from India crossed me some options IE. Remove preferences, uninstall Cloud, run the clean Adobe tool etc. But nothing has worked. Everything else seems to work very well, fro my id Adobe, articulation with Behance etc.

When I ran the clean tool I uninstalled accidentally After Effects, bridge, and another access point. But, because of this error message I can't re - download as the download should go through the Apps Panel - which of course does not work. Argh!

Any help much appreciated!

Went and talked to someone in support of Adobe (a lovely lady called Rashmi) who guided me through the problem.  I think it was a recent Apple security update that has reshaped my permissions. If it was a case of dumping old preferences and then a few Adobe folder permissionsfrom 'reading' than to 'read & write '. Job done. Everything works well again.
