• Problem with Adobe Camera Raw, Nikon D750, Photoshop CC 2014

  I have Photoshop CC 2014 running on a ZBook 15 HP with Windows 7 Professional. I recently downloaded Camera Raw 8.7.311. I have not installed the DNG Converter. I shoot in raw in my Nikon D750. I have download the NAVE images for my HP laptop using a memory card reader. I installed creative cloud bridge. When I check in Photoshop CC 2014, it says that the Camera Raw plugin 8.7.1.311 is present. But if I try to open a picture from the NAVE, it fails and says it is an unsupported file type. When I'm in Bridge, the option 'Open using Camera Raw' is faded and cannot be selected. Then what should I do? TIA, Rob

  Success! My problem is I had the old version of the Nikon software on my computer and I used to upload photos. I copied the NEF files directly from my memory card reader and then could not open no problem in Photoshop CC 2014. Thanks to gener7 and everyone who made suggestions.

• How can I update Camera Raw in Photoshop CC 2014?

  I bought and installed Creative cloud photography Plan two weeks ago.  I Photoshop 2014.0.0 CC release. The Camera Raw plugin is 8.0.0.137 The Creative Cloud Desktop app says that Photoshop CC (2014) is up-to-date. Updates a link in Photoshop > help > updates is greyed. Adobe Web site, it seems that the latest version of Camera Raw is 8.6 Can anyone help me with some thoughts on why I have an earlier and version update to 8.6?

  It turned out that the problem was caused by an enterprise version of Acrobat Pro, which has been granted by Adobe for my PC in my work.  This is in contradiction with the licensed software under the regime of creative photography of cloud and blocking updates.  I was invited to come down from this field of inquiry of this thread:

  Removal of Acrobat Pro has not solved the problem. It took one of the support associated with Adobe to modify some files on the PC.  Now works fine and everything to date.

  I have the latest PS app but when I received the book mentioned above the required configuration is Adobe Photoshop CC (2014 release) and Adobe Bridge installed CC. I am new to all this and don't know if both are provided with the current application, I have on my laptop or if I need to download a different software.  13 elements Adobe works for the book above?

  If you have the latest Photoshop CC app (no elements) and bridge installed, you're good to go, but the book will be very useful if you use elements.

  CC and CC 2014 are separate apps, you can uninstall the version that is not necessary, CC 2014 is the latest version.

• Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014

  When Lightroom 5 and I select "Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014", it does not create a copy in a format tif or psd (or jpg) as it did in previous versions.  A box to pop up allowing me to set the file type, space etc. color then in Lightroom, I'd get a second file (filename - edit.xxx) and photoshop open this file for editing.  I am very use to this my previous versions of LR 4 and cs3 workflow...  Any help is appreciated!

  At the point where the image is opened in Photoshop is no longer raw images. You do not work on the raw file in Photoshop. The only difference in your workflow is when this TIF file is saved. Since Lightroom and Photoshop are synchronized, the backup of this secondary file is deferred until the end of the session of Photoshop. But any work you do in Photoshop is registered in the TIF file. The only difference is the point to which the file is saved. So you really change your workflow at all. Photoshop, in itself, cannot do anything with the raw image data.

  To expand a little further, Photoshop cannot change the raw image data. When an image is sent from Lightroom to Photoshop, Camera Raw is used to interpret the adjustments that have been made in Lightroom. The image is then converted into a standard RGB image. When Photoshop and Lightroom are "in phase" which converted image is kind of 'suspended' in Photoshop. You make the settings using Photoshop, and then the image is saved in a TIF or PSD file according to your Lightroom preferences. When Lightroom is more recent than Photoshop / Camera Raw, Lightroom will give you the choice of creating the TIF image that includes any adjustments in Lightroom, or to open the image in Photoshop. If you choose the second option, then the image opens without creating the TIF, but any adjustments you've made in Lightroom can not be applied because you are using an old Camera Raw. Which may or may not create a problem. Something you'll have to decide.

  My problem has been resolved by Adobe engineers. It seems that automatic resettlement carried out by sets of upgrade to win 10 everything to "run as Administrator". The simple solution, they told me was to disable this limitation and now everything works as it should.

  I have a complete picture of 12 months subscription given by Canon, but Adobe CC guard resetting my account for free from the trial subscription.  I've updated Photoshop CC 2014 last month to find he wasn't an update at all but a trial version of 2015, which seems to have deleted 2014 my system, so I do not have Photoshop at all now.  Adobe support is a continuous loop of questions meaningless and I find myself at a forum instead of a human being who could address this issue.  In the average time that I tell my clients that are waiting for images?  My subscription runs out in October, and now I see little incentive to renew because I don't get what has already been paid.  If someone from Adobe would like to contact me that would be a start.
