ProBook G1 655, 23xw monitor: monitor

Just configure the 23xw, VGA connection for my ProBook laptop monitor.  Installed HP My Display.  Want to display only on the 23xw (white laptop screen) and want a vertical split screen, but can not achieve this result.  A control of the cursor seems to randomly between the laptop and the 23xw.  Now, to the laptop keyboard (no keyboard wireless from now).  What should I do to get the laptop screen to control and divide the screen while maintaining the functionality of laptop keyboard?  Thank you.

Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message on the monitor problems and wanted to help.

Change which monitor is considered as 'primary', open Control Panel--> display control.  Who should see both monitors and there you can control what is the 'main '.

However... If you set as primary externally, then it must ALWAYS be connected, otherwise, when it is not connected, you are likely to get no display on the screen of the laptop.

There is a feature called Aero-wink, but divides basically just the office into two windows.  You have in fact two independent offices where it use to be, just two windows which, together, address the whole office.

There is also a product of third-party called Fusion of display that will share the office, but I have not used.

Good luck

Am I missing something here, or do I have to return this and buy another monitor? Where can I get something else that will connect the monitor to the computer?

I apologize if this sounds stupid, I'm just not tech savy.

Your graphics card HDMI, it seems that your monitor is also.

So, you can use an HDMI cable to connect your PC to your monitor.

Or you will need a VGA adapter DVI [masculine] [man].

The top connector is DVI - D [Dual Link] and only supports digital displays.

The lower connector is DVI - I [double link] and support a display either analog or digital.

  • HP Envy Phoenix 850: Using two monitors

I just updated my PC and bought two HP monitors.  Specification PC says he can support up to three monitors.  I'm not sure is how exactly to set up two monitors:

    -I.e. the ports to be used at the back of the PC.  I have an HDMI cable, but it seems that to adapt to one of the ports - yet there are 3 others in the back of the PC;

-Sounds like a silly question, but there are 3 other major ports at the back of the computer, are these a different type of HDMI port.  The monitors that I bought the HP Pavilion 23xw will have VGA and HDMI (the rear ports are labeled HDMI 1 and HDMI 2).

As noted, it might look like a very stupid question, but I can't find any help online to detail the ports on the back of my graphics card.

Is someone can you please tell me if it is possible to mount two monitors of 23xi hp pavilion on a double rack mount monitor office.

Look at the back of the screen, it does not appear that there are screws for the monitors to climb.

I just wanted to get this information before I go ahead and buy a monitor to double desk stand.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

There can be NO standard mount (VESA). You need a drill and a good skill for drill holes on this subject. I think that you must buy monitors that supports VESA brackets or buy the following combinations:

  • Two monitors to HP ZBook 17 F0V57ET (love at first sight and displayport)

    Dear Hp,

Recently I bought a HP ZBook 17 F0V57ET which is great for my work, the study and the release for consumption!

But miss me something credential which is, I would like to connect 2 left more 19 "monitors DVI - D to my ZBook. I thought that it would be possible to connect using the connector display port (--> DVI cable displayport) and the other by the thunderbolt (stroke of lightning-> DVI cable) connector

But to my knowledge some graphics cards have the digital video of the connectors (e.g. displayport, HDMI, mini displayport) directly related to each other and not is able to display a monitor at a time.

So before buying the cable and 2 wall brackets for monitor I would really like to know if this is possible.

    I hope to hear soon!

    Thank you!

If the docking station as two video output ports, you can connect 2 monitors to that. Once the monitor is connected, then press Windows + P, it will give options to duplicate or extend the display.

  • Supported Windows Server 2012 r2-dual monitor

    Hi all

I'm trying to become more proficient with Windows Server OS.  I installed Windows Server 2012 r2 on an older laptop (HP ProBook 6565-b) of the mine because the base OS (not remote communication in).  I'm wanting to add a second monitor to this machine, for either extending display, or simply duplicate, if I close the lid-if I can use my screen a lot nicer, bigger than what is connected to the laptop.

I read through all the posts on double monitor support for Windows server, but have had no luck so far with suggestions that I have ad (updated & reinstall the drivers, etc..).  I also had a cheap USB to VGA external video card (Startech.com) I tried to use... no luck.  Before I installed Windows Server 2012, I got this working environment in Windows 7 and 10 on this laptop, so I think the graphics card is supported?  I wonder if this is even possible or if I'm wasting my time?

Any idea on how I can make this work would be greatly appreciated.

  • Help with cloning of my screen of my HP laptop for my AOC monitor

I have a 17 "HP ProBook 4710 running XP and want to clone my display to a portable monitor, AOC F19s LCD widescreen, for demos of software. When I click fn f4 I can't get it to appear on one or the other screen and not on both. I tried changing the settings but nothing seems to work. My colleague hooked up to his laptop to my screen and it worked instantly, so I realize it's something in my settings.

When I click fn f4 there is present the display on my laptop or the other monitor, but not both and I have also a strange result - the laptop shows my normal display and the monitor shows a blue color and my cursor moves on the monitor and vice versa.

I can not also display on my laptop and my projector - this issue seems to be related. I tried "/ settings display/uncheck"extend my desktop to this monitor"- which made no difference." -still the same problem.

    Help, please.

  • Failed to add a second monitor on some computers to model because of driver VGASAVE

Currently, using Mirage 5.1.11204. We have desktop computers and laptops Dell and HP. I have a business created for image Windows 7 Enterprise x 64.

Corp image was created on a HP ProBook 640 G1. I use this for our standard image. It works on all our models. I have a question on a couple of the Dell models where I can't add a second monitor. It seems that the correct video driver is installed in Device ManagerDevice Manager.png

, but if you go into the display properties and select Advanced, all card information is displayed so that isn't available or n/a.

    Display Properties.png

If you check the properties of the adapter, it shows VGASAVE.

    Adapter Properties.png

I tried everything, reinstall the drivers using the driver library, by not applying is not the library of drivers without result. If I take a vanilla Windows 7 x 64 using the Windows Deployment Services image fine. If its something in the base image Mirage I guess.

This occurs in particular on our laptop Dell Latitude E6400 and our Dell Optiplex 780.  I don't want to create separate images for these two models, especially since they retired in the new year.

    Thanks in advance

Thus, it seems that I solved the problem. I went back to my machine to reference that I created my main image on and uninstalled the video drivers of 2 HP, and set the backup as Standard VGA adapters. I took the picture and it made for a Dell Latitude E6400. It is a machine that I could not install an external monitor in and it worked like a charm.

I shouldn't of remove these video drivers Mirage is supposed to do it himself, but the bottom line is that his work once again without having to create a separate image. I hope this helps someone else who falls on this issue.

  • Cannot read sequences in the Source monitor

Hi all, this morning I met a problem that I've never seen before, and I can't find discussions about this anywhere. I use CS6 first to edit a feature-length documentary, and the images amounts to approximately 715 concerts, I'm storing them on a disc of RAIDed 3TO. I worked on the project for the last week or so with no problems, but today whenever I try to open the clips in the source monitor interview, I get the yellow screen "Media pending". Timecode was audio parts sometimes independent, sometimes it just runs silently. Sometimes the images begin to play, sometimes the right source monitor panel turns green and is sitting there during the execution of the timecode. I opened another project to see if the question was to the system-wide, and reading worked very well there. THEN, when I came back in the doc project, opening clips in the source monitor opens the wrong clips, and then it started to open the clips of the other project, I had just tested. I'm supposed to have a meeting with the client tomorrow, and I am at a total loss. I tried to clean the media cache, I reloaded the program, I rebooted the computer, nothing did. Sometimes, video clips start to play and work for about 30 seconds and then I move the partition and everything freezes again. In addition, the program stops to respond at the slightest provocation, just right click on a clip to get its properties caused the program stops responding.

    I'm under Premiere Pro CS6, windows 7 x 64

    16 GB of RAM

HDD SEARCHED with 655 GB free of 1.81 to

NVIDIA GeForce GTX Graphics Card 680

The images vary. It's all 1920 x 1080 @ 23.976 fps, some is videos .mp4 mpeg with an aspect ratio of 1.0 and the rest is files .mov mpeg digital SLR with an aspect ratio of 1.0.

If I am not to provide certain information, please let me know, and any help is greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: now any read's wobbling or slow. I tried dragging the clips in the timeline to extract only the bits that I need right now, and my the program monitor just turned black while the audio ran under

UPDATE 2: I thought I might have a problem of memory, so I bought more RAM, up to 32 GB now, does not resolve the issue. A user of CreativeCow recommended to save my files to preview on my desk. Did this, no help. I pulled a few clips (about 40 minutes) on the timeline to see if I can make it out and extract of what I need. No luck, the rendering is running quickly for a minute or two and then slows down to an image every 5 to 30 seconds. Rendering of images in the same timeline plays very well, but nothing works in my source monitor, nothing is non-rendus works in my calendar. I'm at a total loss and 4 days late now. Any help would be massively appreciated

Hey Kevin, thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, none of these solutions worked for more than a few minutes. Honestly, I could just be overloading my system. I need to make the updates anyway. I migrated the project of a new super workstation to which I have access, and it seems to work well so far. It is unfortunate that I can't work from home, but the project is on track, that's all that matters.

  • Need help to find an adapter for a third-party monitor

Hi all! I find myself in need of a little guidance, and I hope that someone out there will have a quick n easy for me...

I have a Mid-2011 27 'iMac. which has two ports Thunderbolt It is taken with a Wacom tablet that I use constantly, and the other is made by an external hard drive to a solid state, which has a built-in cable to Thunderbolt (no way to hang it on a different port). I also have a 27 "HP monitor that is currently connected via an HDMI USB adapter.

The problem is that the HP monitor is actual "jiggy" - the USB does not seem fast enough to deal with requests for the monitor. It is almost unusable. I know I should run it via a HDMI adapter Thunderbolt, but as I have already mentioned the two my Thunderbolt ports are already in use.

Someone at - it ideas? I need sort of three to two ports Thunderbolt hooks, but I can't seem to find anything for less than $300 that would work. (I am illiterate when it comes to the different cables, adapters, ports, etc., so I hope someone can point me in the right direction by using short words... Most of the products that I travel through list specifications that me Chicane).

The monitor has two HDMIs and a VGA port, and my iMac has a Firewire 800 port, if that helps at all...

2011 iMac have only 1 Thunderbolt port and there is no such thing as a Mid-2011, you must have an iMac of year later, if it has 2 ports Thunderbolt. All the 27 "iMacs, from 2012 to 2015 the current have 2 ports Thunderbolt.

I have a MBP of Mid 2012 running latest El Capitan.

I tried the DVI - D and DisplayPort with various cables and monitors with the same result, but a picture appears if I connect to VGA. It started in the past week.

The built-in display does not work normally.

Looks like a hardware failure in the computer DisplayPort connector laptop, as the pins are worn or something?
