  I think you are talking after upgrade to CC 2015 you're not able to launch I. Also, I believe you speak for read only matter of preference.

  After following the instructions please do not launch Illustrator and check your file preference if the permissions have been set correctly. A good way would be to get inside the preferences folder and then try to create a file manually. If it succeeds, please write to [email protected]

  Probably due to the newness for accelerating GPU CC2015 retnia screens. Is your screen a retina? If not try using the view > overview of CPU. The GPU acceleration is enabled by default in CC2015.

  you could install the previous cc of AI version by opening your desktop cc app > by clicking Applications > filters & releases > previous versions > install illustrator > cc

Tried to locate and delete the following files by the recommendations of the forum: IdealFileFormat.aip and wacexportfile.aip. I couldn't even locate these files on my computer, even with a spotlight search.

  I uninstalled Adobe Illustrator (including preferences) and re-installed the application. This does not solve the problem.

  If you use Suitcase Fusion 5 that your font manager and his plugin for Illustrator CC 2014, open the suitcase and disable this plugin until the problem is resolved, see below.
