  Hi people... my InDesign CS6 program shows me this message when I have a file for May 12-14 months... time to go a difficulty to start!

  I can just close the message and turn it back on and it works, but this is not how it was suppose to work.  Adobe has just "Updated" InDesign CS6 about an hour ago, but has NOT fixed this glitch.  That seems unfair to me so I'm now come over here to see what you guys know, and if you can help.

  See replace your preferences and also empty folder of InDesign recovery. Unless you have moved it, it will be the same folder as InDesign SavedData file in the link. Here are the HIDDEN folders.

  Received this message yesterday for the first time after using this program for a while now. Last night, when I clicked the icon in InDesign, the purple window came, says "initializing" as always, but this time he was immediately followed by a message saying "Adobe InDesign CS3 has stopped working".   Instead of reinstalling, choose the option to upgrade this software under license.  You want then enter the Adobe ID associated with your subscription.

  You must have a configuration problem on your system.

  6 inDesign (CS4) works perfectly well on the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 versions. Many users as same Adobe employees use or have used this version of InDesign in these environments of operating system without problem that it is associated with the operating system.

  I am currently using the creative cloud and each prgram works very well, with the exception of InDesign.

  When I try to open InDesign I always get a window that says: "Adobe InDesign CC 2015 no longer works. There is a problem that causes the program no longer works. The program will be closed and it will be mentioned when there is a solution "with a"Close the program"button.

  I tried to reinstall InDesign, but it did not help.

  Photoshop and other programs of the Cloud work very well, but just inDesign does not work and I don't really know which may be the problem.

  Hi all

  It was a problem with InDesign to crash at launch on a Windows computer due to files MSVCR120.dll. below are the steps to solve the problem:

  1 reset the InDesign preferences (from records the and itinerant) please see: InDesign and locations of support Preferences

  2 download the repair MSVCR files from this link: Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 updated 4 of the official Microsoft Download Center

  3. download the first two files EXE (x 86 & x 64)

  4. run both of them one by one, choose the repair option.

  5 restart the computer after completing the execution of these two

  6. start InDesign and you should be good to go.

  It turns out that a Windows computer has been infected by a virus that worked its way to the server. We zapped the virus and restore the backup files.

• installation of Adobe InDesign on replacement computer

  I had to replace my computer (new is an Asus with Windows 8). After downloading my Adobe InDesign software (InDesign 1.5 who worked on replaced computer with Windows XP), the software program opens, etc. but refuses to open the model files that I desperately need. There is a choice of files ending by, pdf, eps and pdf. It does not recognize one of these files.

  I can probably open and work with these files in photoshop Cs2, but prefers to work with InDesign.

  Any suggestions? Perhaps the 1.5 because InDesign is such old software?

  There is every chance that the problem could be the age of the software.  Your best bet will be to run the software in compatibility mode and see if that helps.

  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the application restarts in the meantime and cleaning directories of InDesign, I could find. I completely uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the VC Redist on the MSVCR120. DLL file. Ran SFC/scannow as well. InDesign CC 2014 works very well. No other application 2015 CC has any questions.

  It is the incorrect permission on preferences, probable cases. See replace your preferences for path.

  Most of the time if fixing permissions does not work (user and system with total control), copy files to a user to work will work. Just be sure to remove or rename the wrong files first because you have to replace the entire file, not to merge a new.

  OK, rename the two folders of InDesign that you found in the AppData sections and restart. If ID still does not start, make sure that the new folders have been created not (remove them if they were) then copy the two files again account and paste them into the original.

  This isn't true at all. In fact, the specific problem of this user has been resolved when they discovered that someone has added a password security policy to their files. See: How to get and use a password that works to open several documents in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?

  If you add the password to your files yourself and then forgotten, then there is nothing that can be done using Adobe software, however.

  This can be done with Adobe Reader but is not able to apply (or remove) a security strategy for PDF files.

• My copy of Adobe InDesign cs4 will not open a regular idml file.

  I opened my document, and said it was "impossible to open the file"Tightsketch_charrette2.idml".   I have good news and bad news.

  The good news is that the file opens correctly here in CS5.5 and CS4. The bad news is that this means that there is a problem with your CS4.

  I would start by trashing preferences. It's quick, easy to make and not too destructive, and if you're lucky, it will be able to solve the problem, but I would not put the chances of success more than 50-50. See replace your preferences

  You have a Time Machine backup? If you do, the next thing I'd like to try restoring the application folder InDesign from a time before the problem started.

  If all else fails, it's probably time to bite the bullet and get out of the installer. First try to run an installation to 'fix' on top of what's there. If this, too, goes down, then I would like to uninstall CS4, run the CS5 own tool (which can also clean up to CS4 - see resolve installation problems with the cleanup of CS5 tool), and then restart the computer and reinstall. If you have any custom stuff you must make copies of things like shortcut games and workspaces that you can replace as explained in the thread about resetting the prefs.

  I was working happily along when IE crashed.  I tried to open it, I found that my computer had him "XP Firewall Security Alert Malware" was poor, even mozilla firefox would not.  I couldn't open any browser.  Fortunately, I had SPyBot loaded on my computer and I ran that.  Happy for me, it has worked and deleted malware.  For some reason, however, no .exe file do work now.  Not even solitaire.  Downloads to "fix".exe problems are also files exe (!) so, how are you supposed to get any help from who?
