  As you suggest initially, download the trial of the Adobe.com site. The Setup is the same, and you will be able to enter your serial number, either during installation or in the Help menu after. This will confirm if the problem is your disk or other system soemthing. If it is the drive, call the service and they will send you a new.

  1. I don't think it's possible. Real plugins are written in C++. I bet you're confused plugins scripts-- these can be written in different languages, but I'm not sure that Java is among them.

  I do my InDesign plugin that uses regular expressions. So I did the plugin and works well under Windows. To make it work successfully I included the "D:\AdobeIndesignSDKCS5\external\asl\boost_libraries\bin.v2\libs\regex\build\msvc-9.0\relea se\architecture-x86\threading-multi\boost_regex.lib" path in the additional dependencies field who present as an option to the linker (Microsoft Visual Studio 2008).

  But I could not find any corresponding library to make expressions regular operation in MAC version of the SDK Indesign CS5. So, I couldn't able to link to the appropriate library in my xcode project that leads to the binding error.

  All the solutions for this?

  We use macro ' $(BoostRegexLib) "as an additional library on Windows and the"boost_regex.framework"in"/build/mac / [debug |] " "release] / packagefolder/contents/Frameworks" on Mac.

• Exporting to idml - idml settings - Adobe InDesign CS5

  Hi all

  I have a problem with the export of an idml file.

  I created a file Adobe InDesign Template (in this case a white book) and put a text in this model. When I want a new white paper I copy the new text, replacing the original text in the templete. So far so good.

  But when I export this new indesign file to .idml for purpose of the translation, the idml file still contains the original text of the InDesign template I created originally. It is very annoying for all translators, since they will translate the same text over and over again.

  The 3rd party software that we use to read and translate the file .idml is Deja-vu http://www.ATRIL.com/

  1. How to get rid of this 'inherited text' in the idml file?
  2. And how can I change the settings for the idml file?

  Hope you can help. Call Adobe support couldn't help me with this.

  It certainly has to do with the track changes.

  In my memory, it may be necessary to re - turn on track changes, accept all the changes, turn on turn off, then save under the file and close it.

  Open the new INDD file, then that exporting to IDML.

  Basically, if InDesign thinks that there are changes, they will be exposed in the IDML. So anything that reads IDML must be prepared for it. As you say, by filtering. The scariest part, at least if you're in shape the IDML, is that you must also manage InsertedText and MovedText. I guess that's not a big deal for the translation.

  In addition, if there are Notes in the document, those too will appear in the IDML.

  I'm new to InDesign as using PageMaker for years.

  I just installed a Trial Version of CS 5.5 and try to open an InDesign document that was created by my friend. InDesign was crushed while trying to open the document, he gave me the following error messages:

  The file I sent you was a .idml file I exported from the file you sent. It's a way to empty sometimes problems causing dirt, particualrly with files converted in other formats.

  Most of the fonts is missing because the file came from a Mac and used the old format Mac fonts which do not work in Windows. You will need to use find a font to replace your Windows versions of some other similar fonts for each of them.

  Less familiar with CSS than Bob does, I managed by defining a paragraph style for the title that has a large amount of the space below.

  While white space (returns, etc.) is ignored when InDesign generates the CSS, styles of paragraph with space before and after are converted into equivalent CSS settings.
