  • Blue screen error when you try to print Adobe PDF files

Original title: the computer crashes when I try to print Adobe PDF files.

I unintalled and reinstalled remains 9.3.3 and it still won't print. The OS crashes when you try to print a .pdf file. I can open the document and view the file but not print, just the blue screen and restarts. I opened a word document, print and print text files. It will print anything but Adobe files. Is there any help out there?

    HonoriusIII

Thank you for your support and help Sicard. I finally got to the last version of Adobe as the culprit. It seems that the latest version 9.3.3 was causing problems. I uninstalled the software, cleaned the registry and other remains and installed the various editions of Adobe. Seems that Vista likes only one software version which proved Adobe 8.0. Once I installed the software, found a few .pdf documents and tried to print. Not only did it print well, it was very fast. Of all the places to find the 8.0 Adobe has been installed on my recovery disks. I don't think Microsoft product (s) are the root cause. Something in Adobe was the cause of the crash. I have the error message has not write against accidents, but it dumped memory and restart is fine, no conflict of driver. Only thing I did after each accident was to defragment. the hard drive and RAM by using certain tools. Vista ran fine since. I know a lot of people out there do not like Vista, but I did have a lot of problems with the software. I found problems with other types of competing software and work with software developers using their products in beta. The crash of the problems were not these beta products. I believe in keeping software simple and effective, it seems that Adobe will conversely making it too complicated software and an application's entire concept.

    Thanks for you help,

Hello, I would be grateful for any input on a problem I have with my new computer. When I try to open or to view Adobe PDF files, they are not open.

To configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader to open PDF files:

    1. quit Internet Explorer or AOL.

    2. launch Acrobat or Adobe Reader.

    3 Choose Edition > Preferences.

Which version of Adobe Reader you have installed?

Recent versions (I think it is version 9.0 or later) of Adobe Reader have a toolbar that appears at the top of the content area in Firefox. If this toolbar does not appear, press F8 and see if it appears. There is a button print on the left side of the toolbar to print the PDF file that is displayed in the tab of Firefox.

All the Firefox print functions are substituted by Adobe, if Adobe has a PDF document is open in a Firefox tab, you must use the print to Adobe.

  • Storage/printing adobe .pdf files

Recently, when trying to print a pdf file (from XP Home Edition w/Service Pack 3 installed and Adobe Reader v 9) I manages to get a print file and the printer spooler. Rather, I am redirected to a dialog box to store this file in a folder/catalog of my choice. The printer I'm trying to get is LAN (cable connected) to the XP machine and is available in WiFi for Vista and 7 machines and print the file in question without the problem of these machines. The XP machine prints from other types of files (doc, xls, etc) without any problems.

You can read the .pdf file in Adobe Reader.

Software Adobe reader 9, in "View" toolbar drop-down list, select high reading voice, you can then choose 'this page only' or 'end' or 'Deactivate read outloud '.

  • Winsows 8: How do adobe pdf file opened in desktop mode instead of screen media?

With the help of windows 8 for the first time, is there a way to do it, I looked at some settings in the file.

    Frustrated user.

    Hello

You will need to download Adobe Reader from this link. Once installed, the PDF files will be opened in the traditional way that you will serve from earlier versions of Windows, allowing you to open multiple files at once and move the windows.
If, after installing Adobe Reader, files continue to open full screen, please follow the steps below.
    1. Open the start screen
    2. Type "default" without the quotes
    3. Click default programs
    4. Click set your default programs
    5. Click on Adobe Reader
    6. Click set this program as default

  • How can I PERMANENTLY change the default printer to Adobe PDF files using my physical printer instead of SIMPLY printing a pdf in a new PDF file?

Whenever I restart Adobe Reader DC default printer is automatically reset to print any PDF file to the "print to PDF file" as the default printer.  How can I change the "default printer" always default to be my physical default printer, instead of "print of PDF?»»»

PRINTING a document which is already a pdf file to a pdf file is absolutely ridiculous and stupid for the following reasons:

    1. If you want to save a document that is already a pdf in different PDF file, you can use the function "Save as" in the file menu.
    2. If the user select "Print" to PRINT a file they ther NOT try to SAVE a file.  (We'll give credit to the average user to understand the difference between PRINTING and SAVING of a document).
    3. Most of the users do not need to duplicate the storage of a document on their drives to computer
    4. Users of mobile devices, by the fact that they have already downloaded the PDF file have already used storage space of EXTREMELY valuable and LIMITED memory with the download of origin and most certainly so NOT to use more than this space such a resource limited printing!

As an engineer, hardware and software for the past 40 + years to really understand the value of making easy allow the end user to change the configuration of something as simple as the setting for the default printing device to use!

For the record, I searched the online help as well as the forum Adobe Reader community for a thread that explains how to change the printer by default so that whenever I starts the Adobe service it will automatically use the printer default physical connected to my computer to "PRINT" any PDF document.  If I missed something that deals with this problem please point me about it, if no such band rolling exists, then please tell me before making this change.

Thank you for your help in this matter!

    Sincerely,

    Larry A. Coates

    Hi larryc57256426,

You can set your default printer following the steps mentioned in this document KB change the default system printer.

Check in the print dialog box, you have unchecked "print to file" under "Advanced settings."

  • Adobe PDF file is damaged.  How can it be solved?

One of our employees has created a PDF file and for some reason it is damaged.  I tried to open it with Adobe Acrobat Pro, but not luck.  It's a VERY important manual.  Any help would be appreciated.

Well, unless you can find another copy that is not damaged or you can find a program that can repair the file, you are out of luck. The file is so large, that they probably should have books out of the file. For example, volume 1 and 2...

    What pdf recovery tools used?

the PDF recovery tool is supposed to be very good. http://www.pdf.recoverytoolbox.com/  It costs money, but if the pdf file is really important to the program is probably worth the cost.

  • I tried to open a Word doc attachment in my email and get a window stating "Creating an Adobe PDF file"

When I try to open an attachment in my email Word doc I get a dialog box saying "Create Adobe PDF, PDFMaker missing files, you want to run the installer in repair mode?"   I tried not to convert a word in a PDF doc daughter.  I just tried to open the word document.  The next window that appears is the Adobe Acrobat window.  If I want to open a word doc file that I received in my email I first have to register the word doc on my desk open my program Word, then drag the Word doc recorded from my office to the document that is open in Word. program.  It started just in the last few months.  Never happened before.  What is happening here?

Apparently, you tried to open a DOC file to PDF quite awhile, and your system is confused. In any case, go to a DOC or DOCX file (or both) in the Windows Explorer and right click. Select open with and select WORD - always check open with button.

Check that the other WORD documents open correctly from the Explorer. Try again your e-mail address. If e-mail is not fixed, then look in the list of applications in your email inbox (some do) and fix the problem here. It might also be useful by turning on the display of extensions in Explorer, so you can see that a file is in fact a word with the appropriate extension. (just try to cover as many opportunities as possible now).

  • Error opening of Adobe PDF files

    Hello...

I suddenly got an error appear whe opening most of the PDF files - 'there was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and cannot be repaired. »

Subsequently, I am unble to open these files. I am on a Mac with OS X 10.8 and am using Adobe Acrobat version 10.1.4.

The files are primarily downloaded / saved on my desktop through Safari. Here are the files PDF that I previously helped to open but all of a sudden cannot.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! ... Thank you!!

Oops... too late - I felt it was pretty simple and legitimate given I could recovered files that I deleted from my library, and downloading has been on the official Adobe site yet...

In any case - to complete this process successfully!

It actually works – remove the two original files in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, and then download Adobe Reader from the Adobe site 10.1.4. What is the best, I'm far from being technical interest, yet found this is simple to fill out!

I have tested the phone bill PDF I mentioned earlier and another 'Report' (PDF) file that both have been saved from the Internet directly on my desk. The previous two files don't open always, however, the newly registered copies these files reopen very well!

Thanks mate for putting me on this link-, it worked a treat bloody!

    See you soon!
