  error messages intermittently on two different systems.

  Avid DV
  Avid DV100

  Regardless of the question of if the error message has been deleted
  six times at the start of the program, all the Avid codecs stay
  functional for import and export.

  My next step would be to uninstall the Avid codecs THE 2.3.4
  systems and see if the errors stop.

  Hello Joe, do not know if you got a solution already, but I also came across this situation. There are 2 files you need to copy several files of program CS5. The 2 files to be copied are msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll and they are located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS5. Copy these files into your files Adobe Media Encoder CS5 and Adobe first Pro CS5 and your error messages should disappear. Hope that helps.

I tried to launch the application (double click), but nothing happened. When I tried as an administrator, a warning popped up box, I clicked "Run" but still nothing happened.

  Increase memory 16 GB on XP 64 with 1.5 will not help at all. Increase memory on Win7-64 will be useful, but not with 1.5. You must upgrade to CS4 for the benefit of that.

  Seems that it crashes when GPU processing.

  Go to the file/project settings/general and change the rendering on "Mercury Playback Engine software only" engine.

  Press OK, you will get a dialog box in which select "remove previews."

  Try these steps and see if it works.
