Adobe Reader 11.0.09 stop responding for 30 seconds after the start

When starting 11 AR (whether via its icon or a .pdf document), AR starts normally, but after a few seconds the interface freezes and unresponsive for about 30 seconds. Connection at startup with Process Monitor gives the result below (actually two instances, only is indicated). When the second instance times out (I guess this is what happens), AR11 starts responding again.

The problem disappears if the Weblink.api plugin is deleted, with the side unhappy effect as the tool on the right pane also disapperas (replaced by a spinning icon but AR11 otherwise responsive).

AR11 installed on the server doesn't have any Internet access either. My guess is that AR11 is looking for the host above for some reason any and need some time before it becomes available for use. This is obviously a very poor design and we want to solve somehow... Ideas anyone?

Workaround. By activating the locking function, we prevented Adobe for trying to muck about online. In fact NSA provides recommendations on how to lock Adobe Reader, google 'Recommendations NSA to configure Adobe Reader XI in a Windows environment'. We only use:

HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\-\FeatureLockDown\cCloud

bDisableADCFileStore REG_DWORD set to 1

    Check Console.app and see what happens.   Could be something of a time Machine for Spotlight indexing to a process of runaway of an OS X or a bug in the application.

    I got am HP Pavilion 17-e049wm Notebook PC product #E0J75UAR for about 4 weeks now.  I bought it refurbished.  A week ago I started having this problem.  3, e, d and c keys do not work when I first start the computer all of the other keys work.  Nothing happens when they are pressed.   Sometimes I will restart the computer and they work again, other times they won't, but often will start working if I left the computer set for about five minutes after the start.

    The computer is spotlessly clean.  I've only used a dozen times or more.  Nothing has been spilled on the keyboard.

    Sounds like software for me, but what?

    I am running Windows 8.1 and no programs are running at startup, with the exception of a program start button, but the problem began weeks after installing that.

    FWIW, I called hp. They believed excluded material and had me do a full system restore. Problem persists... The things you own end up owning you they say... I guess it's doubly true if you own a hp laptop. Full day turned... One day closer to death. Thanks Obama.

    (a) since when are you facing this problem? What were the changes to the system between the time where everything has worked, and when you noticed the problem?

    This problem may occur because of the conflict between the hardware or programs on the computer.

    To refine the question, I suggest you try the following steps:

    Disconnect all external devices, mainly USB devices except for devices such as the mouse and keyboard.

    Check if the problem persists,

    Normally, you just have to disable SmartSense or PalmCheck Control Panel of Synaptics - but from what I've seen, it seems no longer works for Windows 10 versions of this driver.

    You may be able to work around this problem as follows.

    First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

    Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

    When windows rebooted, open your download folder and re-run the installer of Synaptics - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

    Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense or PalmCheck , then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

    If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.

    We use SCCM 2012 R2 & SCUP to deploy patches Adobe Reader and the month last day with more than 95% of the Adobe Reader 11.0.0 workstations to Adobe Reader 11.0.11 with no problems.  It was the first time we had patched an Adobe product.

    Last week we deployed Adobe Reader 11.0.12 with more than a quarter of the estate do not update the patch is looking for the original installer (AcroRead11.5.msi) in c:\windows\ccmcache\x.  The location of ccmcache is allowed out regularly as it is a location of temporary cache for the application of SCCM and hotfix deployments.

    Right-click in the PDF file, go to 'Open with' & choose "Adobe Acrobat XI".

    Let me know if the file opens in Adobe Acrobat XI or not.

    Check and make sure that you have followed the method to allow the game through the protection of execution of data (DEP) below.
