  Inform that you can install the latest version of Acrobat Reader all of its updates are cumulative.

  It worked for me on Win7 Pro 64-bit:

  Open Adobe Reader X (10.1.1)

  Edit... Preferences... General...

  Uncheck 'enable protected startup mode '.

  Close and restart.

  I use Symantec AV, I can easily believe it's an irritating inconsistency between what Adobe is trying to do and what Symantec is trying to do.

  If you are on Mac and installed the Adobe Reader software to the deafult location.

  5. open a PDF file in Safari.

• Why the first drop function in Adobe Reader DC move then all the downs only works if the application is restarted? [iOS]

  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.  I have a file with several drop downs.  Whatever one you choose first works, then when you try to select other or re - edit selection down down cannot unless you close the application completely and restart.  Then it it works again.  Very annoying!

  Hello rebeccajw, open the XI player, go in Edition > Preferences > Updater and select something else that "automatically install updates." You will probably need to download and apply the patches manually to keep XI. The last non - MUI for Windows patch is Adobe - Adobe Reader: for Windows: Adobe Reader 11.0.13 - all languages updated.

  A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... and download Adobe Reader 11.0 installation base.

  Then download each individual updates and run them sequentially.

  I installed back to the last update of security which is version 08 and were able to register under normal operations.

  You will need to disable the automatic updates to keep up with the 08 version, until Adobe fixes this problem in a future release.

• Vista - problems installing of Adobe Reader 9.1, Silverlight and Service Pack 2

  Last week, my computer froze with a black screen.  Person software Dell in India has accompanied me through the webcam and drivers and reinstall Vista.  Since then, I can't open .pdf files, watching movies from Netflix or download Vista service pack 2.  I tried all the things I could find in the forums here and elsewhere.  The last thing I tried to download was Adobe Reader 9.1 and I'm able to save to my desktop but when I double click the icon and try to install this is the error I get:

  Once that works I suggest creating a user profile, make sure that it is set to administrator level, then log in there and attempt to run the SFC from there.  Here are the instructions to create a new account:

  1.	Open accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, and then clicking user accounts.
  2.	Click Manage another account.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3.	Click create a new account.
  4.	Type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.
