  I have a large number of dublicate files and directories in 'C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\' and 'C:\Users\Jim\' after the upgrade of Windows Vistat Ultimate 64 bit to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Why?

  The documents are really in the second folder, Documents and Settings is
  a junction point.
   
  In Vista and Windows 7, "Documents and Settings" is not a folder.
  Vista/Win7 uses a different file structure than XP/don't. Those who don't know
  the names of folders you can be used for, such as "My Documents", "Documents &.
  Settings', etc. are not folders in Vista/Win7. They are the points of junction,
  and are used for legacy programs that have been written to use the XP file
  structure.
  They will redirect the programs to use the Vista/Win7 equivalents records.
  If you keep hidden protected operating system files, you will not see them.
   
  In Vista/Win7...
  The documents & settings-> \Users
  My Documents-> \Users\youraccount\Documents
  My music-> \Users\youraccount\Music
  Application-> \Users\youraccount\AppData data

  Copy the program through a new machine will not work.   Install it using installation files and activate using the serial number assigned to the license.

  We have an installer of dyno with a chassis PXI-E running Veristand 2014 and 2014, inertia.   You can work around this limitation by putting your orders and clusters indicators. Then set the cluster to be required or recommended to indicate whether contained controls are entered or parameters, just normal.

  If the problem is related to a corrupted catalog, try to open the organizer with a new empty catalog.

  Hold down the SHIFT key at the launch of the Organizer. You get a dialog box with the choice to start with a new catalog, or start with a different catalog and even to 'fix' the current catalog. If your organizer starts with an empty catalog, use the option 'fix' on your corrupt catalog.

  It is a long story as to why I did it, I'll try to keep it as short as possible, but also detailed.

  I tried to get my graphics card drivers (it is an AMD Radeon) updated on my Acer laptop because I had errors of lighting in several video games, but my Catalyst Control Center has stopped working whenever I opened it. So I googled many answers, found none, contacted the technical support for it, they re-installed my graphics drivers from the card for me through the Acer eRecovery Manager (since I bought the computer with the graphics card built in), but the problem persist and so I searched for answers, and told to set the file C:\Users hidden and then visible again and it should allow the CCC work properly. But when I went into c:\Users--> properties, there is no option to set it to Hidden. So, I thought since my info is in my c:\Users\AccountName file, I click with the right button on this folder and went to properties, and the option was there. So, I put THIS folder hidden and freaked out a little when everything on my desk apparently disappeared from existence. But in my panic, I went to C:\Users-->Properties again and he now give me the option set to hidden. So I did, and once it was done, I unchecked the box hidden again and all my files reappear, thank God.

  However, this is my problem begins. All my files and folders that were inside the C:\Users\AccountName have been restored to be visible, but now, Google Chrome and Dropbox are unable to sync properly (and who knows what other sync accounts have stopped working?) and any where both move files or how many times I reinstall, they are still unable to sync. It seems that some of my files have been moved to places that they are not supposed to be? Dropbox has been moved somehow to C:\Users\AccountName\AppData\Roaming and to contact their support team, they said that it is not recommended because it is there. But even after the move to other places, he always did the same thing.

  To describe the problem that happens in both:

  -Google Chrome:

  It gives me the orange icon at the top and says I need to sign in again. She does everytime I open the browser. Once I log in, it says that my sync data is out of date or something like that. And no matter how many times I tried to solve this problem, everytime I open the browser he reconnects with the orange icon and I have to sign in again once.

  -Dropbox:

  By clicking on the icon, it gives me a permissions error and says that "store your home folder on a network share can also cause this problem. And of course it has been moved somehow to AppData\Roaming without put me there. Uninstall completely and put it back in place as AppData\Roaming automatically and still will not let me move it.

  So I'm not sure what is happening.   Moving about 750Go of files and the associated image files from my drive to Studio work TB 3 to a new 2 TB drive Archive. The first set of records, I moved to in Lightroom, that went well but has been very slow to do that I could move only 12 files at one time or the locked system. After looking online I've been advised to copy all folders that I wanted to go in the Finder, simply drag / drop files from one drive to the other and then synchronize from Lightroom. Files moved OK, but as I guess I should have generated. The XMP files in the moved files no longer have metadata or the development parameters.

  I did not do any work Lightroom since that, so I have the old catalog in Time Machine (hopefully!-j' heard that there may be problem with Lightroom and Time Machine catalog). I also have copies of backup of the work unit until I moved the files.

  I have 2 large jobs, I need to change as soon as POSSIBLE, so need to quickly solve this problem or the LR catalog is going to change and I will not be able to go back.

  Ideally, I'd like to talk to Technical Support in order to go through the steps and explain what I did and make sure I don't lose any data. Is there a number to call? The phone tree says no support for LR phone now...

  Good to hear! In the future if you want to move your image to another drive files proceed as I pointed out here: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  It greatly reduces the possibility of this kind of problem happens, and when it you will know because the number of folder, number of files, or size on the disk will not match. Try again until they do not match before reconnecting them with the LR catalog. Computers are dumb... then work smarter.

• I unstalling a large number of programs and my computer still a little slow when it comes to video games

  I know you have vista but your system, dell, hp, compaq?  It is useful to know if you can find specifications on units.

  RAM is the amount of memory you have on your system.  I think that Windows Vista came with 1 GB of memory minimum.  Some have had more.  Right-click on desktop and select Properties.  Under system, you will see (RAM Ram):? GB

  If you open my computer, you will see computer do and the size of the disk + the amount of free space

  EX: Compaq (c :)) free from 150 GB to 99 GB

  The largest number is the size of your disk.  The lower is the amount available for you.

  Windows Vista need at least 2 GB of ram to run faster or better.

  Right-click on my computer and select Manage

  Click on Device Manager and you will see a list of hardware attached to your computer

  Click + next to his video and game controllers

  Right click and select Update driver.  Restart your game.  If this does not help, try

• Creative Cloud installation opens a large number of programs and then does nothing. How can I get Creative Cloud to download?

  I downloaded CreativeCloudSet - Up.exe, but when I try to open that don't end up doing anything other than start a bunch of programs all named the same. It never downloads anything in Programfiles.

  Control Panel allows you to check your list of installed programs, uninstall all cc eventually installed adobe software.

  You can arrange to switch all your images to the 'My pictures' folder located in "My Documents", you will need to manually place images, select them and move it to the folder my pictures...
