Adobe Reader DC/2015 and SCUP

We seek to use SCUP/SCCM to get Adobe Reader DC.  We used successfully the transition of v9 to v10 and then the v10 to v11 previously.

SCCM-SCUP - Guide to Business Administration , says "DC products, catalogues of transition and updated in a single file" - but when the catalogs are installed (both classical and continuous) only updates seem to be present.

Just in case I did a test and deployment of the machine, that I targeted who has 11 Reader installed with SCCM shows that it is in line with no installation CD.

Am I missing something obvious or are the files of missing transition of the catalog?

There is no catalogue of transition from 11.x to DC.

2015 inDesign only supports DPS 2015, not the earlier version of the DPS. To use DPS with the Folio Builder Panel, you must run 2014 CC InDesign, InDesign CC or InDesign CS6. You can run multiple versions of InDesign on the same machine.

  • Is Adobe Reader for iOS and Android Support with Solution PKI encryption?

    Hello

I searched for an answer if Adobe Reader for iOS and Android can read PDF files encrypted by infrastructure solution to public key (encrypted by a public key, in order to be decrypted by the private key pair), but to date I have not found the answer.  From the Adobe web site, I understand that Adobe Reader for Android supports to read a document encrypted with AES256 but it does not mention on PKI.  I had to guess it does not support encryption with PKI, but I would just get a formal response and would like to know if Adobe Reader Mobile will support it.

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, it is still not supported on mobile versions of Adobe Acrobat DC.

    Thank you.

  • Uninstalled Windows 10 after hardware problems. After using the option to uninstall using Windows 7 Adobe Reader has disappeared and I can't install it.

I have upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and after a few hours I decided that I didn't like it particularly because of hardware problems. When I went back to using Windows 7 I realized that I had Adobe Acrobat reader and that I could only open PDF in my browser. In addition to this, I can not re - install Adobe Reader. I get the message below:

The feature you are trying to use is on an unavailable network resource

Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package 'AcroRead.msi' in the box below.

By clicking OK, does nothing. I get the same error message.

You can try to use this tool first remove all traces of your computer:

Then you can download the complete player offline installer from

Firefox and Chrome use their own viewers for PDF, not the Adobe Reader plugin.

1 is all of their license, do I need to buy to fit into the blog and the Web site or its free?

    3. How do I integrate with server?

    4. If it is free where can I find code or Java script to put on the website?

Any help will be appreciated thanks in advance

Some sites have installed server software to convert PDFS to HTML, but I don't really see the point of this. Many of the benefits of PDF are lost, and PDF viewers are widespread. (For example, built into Safari, Chrome, FireFox, iPhone/iPad, Android, Windows 8). It is an old idea of the time when it was difficult to persuade people to download Adobe Reader.

  • Adobe Reader updates day and Flash Plugin to drive.

I was surprised to discover that the updates to Adobe Reader and Flash Plugin for Adobe Reader cannot be installed on Windows 7 without administrator rights!

I remember, on Windows XP, that it wasn't a problem. I'm sure I checked the option to install Adobe Flash Plugin for Adobe Reader on Windows XP without administrator rights and it worked...

Now, we have a major problem...

I have prepared some Adobe PDF portfolio for a new policy for housing loan and deployed it is opened in a Web browser. According to my tests, he worked very nice, and loved the business user. On Windows XP, if the flash player plugin is not installed, the user will be guided to install it and it works fine.

Just before sending the announcement to all users, we have made on Windows 7, if the flash player plugin is not installed, then when the user clicks the link to open the Briefcase, and then nothing happens. The browser window opens, and it crashes.

Then we found that on Windows 7 to manually install the Plugin of Flash Reader, and in addition, the user must have Admin rights...

Now, a decision was made to cancel the work done using the PDF portfolio and develop a simple page with links to documents...

    Any solution for this?

How can we install the needed plugin without Admin right?

Why on Windows 7, the user does not receive the prompts to guide to install the Flash Plugin from Adobe Reader?

    Tarek.

No, there is an Installer separated for the XI Acrobat family Flash element - have installed Web plugin is not relevant.

Check out my blog for more details

You cannot pre-install the plugin Flash Player via the Adobe Reader business tools, it should be pulled from the Adobe Web site and installed manually. There is no equivalent to the agreement of redistribution of Adobe Reader for the Acrobat Flash Player plugin, and of course if it was distributed on CD or via a corporate intranet, normal users couldn't run anyway.

  • Problems with forms created with LC Designer, Adobe Reader 10.1 and Windows 7 7.1

    Hello

I have an application that runs on Flex 3.5 and some xdp created with LC Designer 7.1.

    FRAMEWORK

The application should work in Windows XP and Windows 7.

It allows the user to submit an order and view/print the order confirmation.

The order confirmation is a pdf file generated by a xdp created with LC Designer 7.1 (and a connection via an xml data file).

Some pdf need to display Japanese fonts, others not (let's call them jpPDF and usPDF).

The XP and 7 environments have Japanese fonts installed.

    USING XP

When you use a XP environment, there is no problem to create and display the pdf, the jpPDF and the usPDF. Everything works fine and as expected.

    WITH THE HELP OF 7

When you use a windows environment 7, I have different issues according to the generated pdf:

jpPDF: Adobe Reader tells me that I don't have the fonts installed. When I accept to install the fonts, nothing happens and the pdf file appears completely empty.

usPDF: Adobe Reader tells me that the created pdf file is not compatible with the latest version of Adobe Reader, so I need to upgrade. But I have the latest version available...

Someone of you have encountered similar problems? Is there really something wrong between LC Designer 7.1 and Windows 7?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

    Kind regards

  • Windows 7 64-bit Adobe Reader 9.3 and IE8 - opening PDF in the tab and then says closing tab causes IE8

I've been running Win7 64 bit for quite awhile now and only up to what a few weeksa go started having problems with Adobe Reader continues to ask me how I wanted to read a document and click here to save the settings, and don't ask me again.  The box has never worked and it will continue to ask me questions constantly everytime I open a new PDF file.

I finally understood how to get rid of the nagging dialog box but now everytime I open a new tab with a PDF file in it and then close the tab, IE8 crashes and tries to pick up the tab.  It's never happened before.

What is the cause and how to fix this?  Please notify.

Upgrade to 9.3 this morning and the problem remains.  Tried to uninstall all traces of Adobe Reader and reinstall but still no dice.

Problem happens also to home on a similar computer running Win 7 64 bit and use an earlier version of Acrobat and Adobe Reader.

    Try this:

Right-click on the IE8 icon in the taskbar. A menu pop ups upward. Right click again on 'Internet Explorer'. Then left click on "Run as Administrator". I had another problem with the drive and this has solved the problem. The problem I had was that I couldn't save PDFs in IE8. This solves this problem.

  • Quick question from a newbie... Can I use an API of the Adobe Reader to open and fill out a PDF form to my MFC application?

    Hello people.

If I'm in the wrong forum, might well want to suggest a more appropriate forum?

It is a pretty basic question.

I downloaded the SDK and watched, but I'm still a little uncertain. Simply because there is a ton of information to this site, and it's all new to me.

I have a Visual Studio MFC application. (Visual Studio 2008)

I want to change the application to read a PDF form to fill out, and I want to programmatially fill in some of the data in the field as it appears on the screen. This could be considered writing a PDF file, but I think it's only complete, because I can do this with Acrobat Reader. I assume that there is an API available to do this.

I saw something on IAC, then maybe that where I need to study.

I'm the developer. I need to buy Adobe Acrobat? Or is the right drive for this?

My customers will need to purchase Adobe Acrobat? Or the drive will be enough?

It's one thing for me as a developer to buy the tool to improve enforcement, but another question, if I go to the end users and tell them that they need to buy and install Adobe Acrobat.

I'm not afraid to have a discussion, I just want to know ahead what debate, I need to have.

Are there different APIs available for different Windows OS? One for XP for Vista 32-bit, one for Vista 64-bit, for Windows 7... etc.

Or is this the same way, regardless of the platform?

    I'm looking for advice.

    All would be appreciated.

    Thank you

The only way to fill a form in Adobe Reader is to use the file in FDF or XFDF format.   They are text-based formats that you can put the form data and a link to the PDF document in and then ask the REader to open it (and the associated PDF file) upwards and fill automatically.

You can't poll drive for more information, however.

  • Adobe first CC 2015 and R9 380 pro

Hello everyone, I intend to start editing videos with my current setup, I want to try Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 (theres a trial on the adobe Web site) and I would like to know if my current setup would work fine:

    Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO

CPU: AMD FX 8370 OC @ 4.8 Ghz with Corsair Hydro cooler H60

    GPU: MSI AMD R9 380 2 GB

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 1.6 Ghz 16 GB Ram

    OS: Windows 10 x 64

SSD: 850 Evo 250 GB Samsung

    HDD: WD Blue 1 TB

Sorry for the detailed description but im used to give them like that since I'm a gamer xD

Also, I would like to know if I need more ram? I intend to edit videos in 5-10 minutes, I have read that if you have a gpu theres no point of saw huge amounts of ram.

    Thank you

as others here have pointed out, its possible for some projects, but some media and will require a more powerful system.  This reference is comparing against intel cpu for 3 generations/models, and AMD are close to i5 General benchmarks.

First and almost all adobe applications are mainly based cpu, and with 4 k mount taking off, fast processor is recommended. Since amd has currently no similar making the CPU to the high-end intel, intel is recommended as the only option. even intel i5 and i7 entry level are not recommended... at a time when amd releases zen, his speed of large improvements will be minor compared to the range of intel, and it can be locked at the same place as the bulldozers are now. Zen only hope may be to increase its number of core for desktop systems.

AMD did add processor as SSE 4.2 instructions to fleas bulldozer, but there are other factors like lower the IPC keeping the low amd vs intel. the 8 hearts aren't exactly 8 isolated hearts, so multi-thread random process like a nle, can do for unbalanced loads. AMD has no unique push thread design as intel, which also helps with the wrong encoding adobe software, as well as workloads unbalanced. That's where shines really intel, intel knows that the future is more hearts and has focused on the issues of software not designed and written properly. Skylake was supposed to advance the performance of single-threaded yet more away, but the points of reference I've seen suggest that these reports are not true. at this point with problems of adobe software, we can be saved from poor performance with a high cpu core by a new cpu design using a virtual kernel, before adobe fixes their software.

Comparing the amd on the best-performing benchmark vs ppbm7, they are in systems to slower memory, storage, slower, slower video cards, etc etc, so this isn't just a simple amd to intel cpu comparison, but any system vs. There are still several submitted results faster intel i7 is slower than an amd processor. According to the usual speeches amd here, they would say that the i7 are several times faster than AMD in the first. These aren't old i7, but 4 core i7 haswell. This means that its possible to directly compare the results against the Hounds on these landmarks with haswell.-e. These dogs from top with 8 cores should be at least 2 x faster than 4 core haswell, but with some of the i7 4 basic results were just as bad or worse than AMD, they are more than 8 x slow/more longer. This shows this is not simply a problem intel vs amd, but the whole system components that contribute to faster results.

AMD gpu went back with nvidia who has the faster and more powerful gpu, but from the end nvidia has the fastest cards. When it comes to video software, such as adobe, most prefer and is optimized for cuda (nvidia) because she has been around more. any point of reference to amd gpu accomplish a lot slower that nvidia, speak to the limitations software like first + openCL, not a true reflection of the power of the amd gpu.
