Adobe Reader error message

received the following message when you try to launch Acrobat Reader with Windows 7-64 bit

C:\Program Files (X86)\Adobe\Reader10.0\Reader\plug_ins\Acro Form.api is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

Appears on the banner on the top of the box image Adobe Reader:AcroRd32.exe - bad

would contribute to an ideas on how I can update or reinstall Adobe Reader.  Also, when I click on OK, the window closes and the program contains so don't know if it of a mistake or not.

It sounds like your Adobe Reader installation is corrupt.  Uninstall in Control Panel, then reinstall it.  You can download the latest installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

It's because their browser uses an internal PDF viewer instead of Adobe Reader. They will have to allow Adobe Reader in the default application for the display of PDF documents via their web browser.

  • Update of Adobe Reader-error 1500

I've never had a problem of update of Adobe Reader, whenever I am informed of updates are available.  Today, I got an error 1500.  I followed the steps listed but message continues.  I even tried unistalling Adobe Reader 9.3, the only version on my computer to reinstall it from the Adobe site.  But it says "the Installation Source for this product is not available.  Verify that the source exists and you can access it.  Help!

You don't mention your operating system, but I guess you're on Windows.

Try uninstalling your current drive from Control Panel | Add/Remove programs.  If this also gives you an error, remove it by using The Windows Installer Cleanup utility.

Once removed, download the Installer http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/enu/AdbeRdr930_en_US.exe (English version); This record, and then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.

If this does not work, please specify your Windows version and the complete error message 1500.
