  You are right; the 11.0.06 full installer was only released for the main languages.

  You also have Acrobat installed?  Acrobat is the creation of PDF files and Adobe editing tool.

  I don't know why adobe reader software will not work.
  I have a similar experience when I tried to install adobe reader 9.3
