Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07) failed installation

When I tried to open the PDF files on my mac OSX 10.9.4, I got an error message FINDER said "the application 'Adobe Reader.app' cannot be opened. -1712 ". I use Adobe Reader.app all the time and never had this error before. So I trashed Adobe Reader.app (10.1.10) and downloaded Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07), then the installation failed, and I got a warning following: Adobe Reader Installation Setup error: the Package name is Installer Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07): path access/Installer based installation: installation failed (Setup has encountered an error that caused the installation of failure.) Contact the manufacturer of the software). Help, please!

  • Error 1303 when you try to install Adobe Reader on Windows 7. The error message says to log on as an administrator. Yes, I did. It does not work.

I am trying to install Adobe Reader with Windows 7.  The installation fails with an error 1303 tent access to c:\Program files (x 86) \common files\adobe\1.0.   I tried to log in as an administrator. No luck.

To see if it a Windows problem or an Adobe issue, see if this PDF Reader installed.

If so, I would stick with it. Foxit is much more user friendly Windows.
  • Update of Adobe Reader has no error 1327

When Adobe Reader tries to update, it fails. Message says: reader of 1327 not valid error H...  What can I do to fix this? I don't have a player "H"...

Something you your registry database points to the H: drive and the installation/upgrade program has a problem with that.

  • Software Adobe reader 11 will not uninstall

My PC operating system is Win XP (SP3).

I have been using Adobe Reader 11 without problems.  Recently, he would not open the pdf files. So I decided to uninstall it and install a new download.

Unfortunately, I uninstalled package of the Adobe package by mistake. (What a *!)

Then when I tried to uninstall Adobe Reader, the following message appeared "the package of the package could not be opened. Verify that the package of the package exists and that you can access.

So, I then tried to install Adobe Reader 11 defective on the existing. However, I then the message "Adobe Reader is already installed" and the installation will not proceed any further.

I'm stuck between the hammer and the anvil.  What can I do now?

(Of course, I tried the system restore, but this feature does not work.  How frustrating!)

Strange. The author of a thread should see in all messages on the wire. Like this:

  • Cannot install Adobe Reader or Flash

I installed a new HARD drive in a PC that already had a Windows XP operating system. The new HARD drive has Windows 7 32 bit Home Premium as the operating system. The XP system worked fine but without support a number of Web sites would not work properly where the change to W7. All components of the PC are the same.

I rebooted various pieces of software but I can not install Adobe Reader or Flash.

The installation program downloads. The installation program starts to run if you double click on it and the grey install box appears on the screen but nothing else seems to happen. It's the same for both pieces of software. I left for maybe an hour or two and nothing else seems to happen.

    Help please.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Adobe Reader Installer failed. Now I can't run, re - install or uninstall.

Tried to install Adobe Reader XI on my newly refreshed (new) Windows 8 desktop. After reaching 96% completion, the installer hanging for more than an hour, and in frustration I finally stopped via the Task Manager. I tried to reinstall it by running the installer from the website, and when that failed to do anything, I downloaded the full package on my drive. Run the installation of the package I downloaded anything also. A look at running processes show a couple Adobe Reader to background process, but does not consume significant system resources.

Drive does not appear in the list of installed programs in the Control Panel, so I can't uninstall it to try a clean install. I had enough problems with Windows 8, I envisage, cleaning the disc and go back to XP...

If you have a third installed anti-virus program, temporarily disable or uninstall.
