Advance Mode XP Backup, twice after backup is complete, cannot create an ASR file because I did not insert a floppy disk. I insert a disc in my drive, please help me how do.

Running a WindowsXP Professional, I tried twice to my systems backup using the Backup Wizard. Twice tried to use advanced mode to save. I have 3 choices, first Assistant backup, Second, Assistant food and finally Assistant recovery. I clicked on the wizard of recovery of automatic systems, the wizard to create a backup of the two parts of my systems, a diskette that has my systems settings and other media that contains a backup of my score of local systems.

Twice I tried to insert a disc into my drive and started to click on column e ASR. so to start the long process of backing up my files, after almost two hours later my backup files already completed, a screen appears saying: this isn't in my Wizard floppy drive cannot create ASR inside. He needs a disc with an ASR info, more data backup systems to restore my computer if it meets a major systems failure. My problem is, how to set the disk to my systems before starting settings to back up my files and data with the systems Advance Recovery Wizard first. Thank you.

Once the files are restored, you may need to change the permissions so that all the user is not allowed to all files and the administrator is not the owner (I don't know if cela transfers, but I think that it doesn't). You must configure the permissions as they were before--with each user with rights to its records, all deleted user and administrators with all rights for each folder (or you can skip this last part, because you can always get permissions if you need by taking possession and maybe users want that privacy for their files even administrators).

If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user who has administrative privileges account you can log in to that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

If you reset the password of the account administrator integrated into house or have Pro and don't remember the password, use NTpasswd to change the password of the built-in to a white administrator account. Download the bootable CD .iso image file, burn with third-party burning software such as free ImgBurn , Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Oh dear. It turned into a terrible mess of a thread with opinions and advice. You do your layout with Word. In my experience, Word is a nightmare when it comes to positioning many areas of text and images.

You shouldn't have changed the Word document in a JPG file, because the text all which perfectly progressive, which would be printed to "all" size without loss of image quality, then became an image file. But if you "had" to make it a JPG, just about the worst possible way to do this is with the Snipping Tool, because the resulting image would have only the resolution of your computer screen. How big are the pictures you used in Word? They probably didn't need to be very large, because each image is only an impression at a relatively small size.

When resizing of volumes in Windows7, you must be aware of the following criteria:
- Only you have the possibility to reduce or enlarge NTFS or RAW (unformatted) partition using Windows 7 tools.
- When you shrink a partition, files not movable as a page file or a shadow storage area are not resettled. This is why you cannot reduce the size of the Windows beyond volume where these types of files. If you need to reduce the volume, you will need to remove, move or delete the page file or the shadow first storage area, and then reduce the volume and then add the page file or shadow storage on the disk area.
- If enough bad clusters are found on the disk partition will not shrink.
- You must be logged on to an administrator account in order to resize Windows Volumes in windows 7.
Windows 7 Partitions or Volumes of shrinkage

This section shows must shrink a Windows volume or partition. To do this, we must open the Windows 7 disk management tool. The following steps will guide you in this process.
1. Click the button on the Start Menu in the bottom left of your desktop , and then click the Control Panel menu option.

7. A screen similar to the one below appears. This screen indicates the size of the current partition you, how you can reduce it to a field where you can enter a specific amount to reduce, and then how big partition will be once it shrinks. By windows 7 default enters the maximum amount that you can reduce the volume, but if you want to change this amount, do so by entering the amount in MB in the enter the amount of space to shrink in MB: field. When you are satisfied with how windows 7 will shrink the partition, click the minimize button.
8. Once windows 7 is complete decreases the volume, you will be in the disk management screen, but now the partition size will be the size you requested as shown below.
Now that you have reduced the size of your volume of Windows, you can close the computer management console.

You have now finished reducing your score and you have the extra space available for use as required.

Windows 7 Partitions or Volumes extension

This section shows that you must extend a Windows volume. To do this, we must open the tool of disk management where we can resize our volumes. The following steps will guide you in this process.

Rather just to use the free space on a drive that contains the volume you extend

  As discussed in step 5, for this tutorial we are going to extend my 8 GB partition (drive E :) to the total size of disk 1 using all the available space. As disk 1 is only available free space on my computer, windows 7 automatically select as shown in the image above and use the maximum amount available to extend the partition. If there were other drives with free space that they have shown during the selection available . If you want to extend the volume to a lower amount you can change in the Select the amount of space in MB: field. In the contrary case, press us the button Next .
9. You will be now be presented with a confirmation screen. If you are sure you want to extend the volume, press the Finish button. Otherwise, press the back button to make changes or the Cancel button to cancel this operation.
10. Once Windows 7 completed to extend the volume, you will be on the screen disk management, where you can see the amount that you have extended with the new size. An example of this is shown below.
At this point, you can close the Management window of the computer that your task is completed.

According to the request, I understand that your system is unable to recognize the F: drive after inserting a disc. I appreciate your efforts to solve this problem.

The issue could be due to one of the following reasons - the drive might be bad, might have a cable loose or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Given the clicking of the drive I suggest you to clean the optics on the drive by wiping with a barely damp q-tip.

If there is a possibility of cables in bulk. I suggest to remove the power supply, then make sure that the cables at both ends. Remove and replace firmly. For laptops, you can often clean power and contacts data with a pencil eraser.
1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Click on Device Manager and select CD/DVD.
3. Double click on the drivers tab.
4. Click update drivers and right click on the Uninstalldisk.
5. Reboot- it will refresh the default driver stack.

The files must be legal DVD or still to retranscode them. If so, it will use "automatic" (in which case it should adapt), or settings you have applied.

The Audio Interviews etc folder does NOT exist on my HD. I know because I deleted it.

It would seem that the backup uses a master list to determine which files should be saved and where are these files.

I ran regedit looking for some Audio Interviews and did not get a hit.

I also ran sfc/scannow and without errors, etc. were found. "... Windows resource protection did not find any breach of integrity... »

Where is this list and can remove Audio Interviews Etc. She?

Create a folder called Audio Interviews etc in the folder systemprofile seems a kludgy way to deal with this issue.
