  The Bios then showed that user password is not defined.
  I saved the changes and started to laptop came out, and asked me again a password.

• Satellite P20-771: Error Message blue screen after the reinstallation of the OS

  I have a portable Satellite P20-771 / Pentium 4 3.40 GHz (800/HTT) / XP Home / 17' with nVidia Geo5700 driver.

  If you want you can preinstall Bluetooth stack. You can find it on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com. Under Support & downloads, there is an option to download driver driver. Choose the type of product family, product range and model.

  Battery Bluetooth to preinstall and try again. I checked on my laptop and I can't find tosrfec.sys and I can open the Bluetooth Manager.

• Satellite C650 - error reading disk and the recovery disk does not work

  I have a toshiba Satellite C650, who has recently developed with a disc read error. I want to access the command prompt to try some possible solutions I've read on the internet.

  I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other acer laptop which has also installed Windows 7 64-bit. When I use the recovery disk and it loaded the files etc it evokes just a black screen and the cursor.

  Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
  I tried to start my computer acer laptop from the recovery disk and it worked fine.

  As is - this does anyone have suggestions as to why I get the message "disk read error - press ctrl, alt and delete to restart?

  First of all, about the recovery Partition, it is never established if you use a set of recovery discs HP to provide a way conveient to reinstall an OEM of Windows version - however this is not really necessary if you're creating a 'detail' to perform the installation, you can always reinstall using this option if the need arises.

  As you will be perfoming the Setup from a retail windows installation disc, this will give you the option to create a partition (use the Option on the Setup screen).  Unless you have a particular need to create customized partitions, you can leave Windows Installer for the "unallocated space" - this will automatically create a "System Partition" which is hidden and the main partition of Windows C.

  HP_TOOLS (E) partition will be created automatically by installing the UEFI diagnostic software.

  It's not easy to say why it happens.
  I think that we can only speculate. So I found on the page of the Toshiba driver a new version of the BIOS. It s 2.10. But it seems that this BIOS is usable only on Satellite P20 units that contain "PSP20E" in the model number.

  If you could check your model number and your device contains the number of this piece, you could try updating the BIOS to 2.10. Before updating the PIF, you should check the upgrade procedure. You know, the bad BIOS and the wrong procedure can make some problems on the Board.

  I think you should also be sure that each driver is up-to-date.
  I put t know how you installed the operating system but eventually the corrupted files on the HARD disk might be responsible for the hanging.
  This could be the case if the laptop goes correctly the Toshiba start screen. Otherwise if the Toshiba start screen does not appear so especially a hardware malfunction is a reason for such problems.

  Both are dead graphics card problem.
  The conclusion of my research on the WEB, it's the nVidia FX Go5700 card seems to be the weak point of these laptops.

  I have red Satellite P20 304 and it still works well. Maybe you can offer this story to someone else, but I can say that Satellite P20 is great for laptop. I like it. Old, but still has an attractive design.
