Æ in Premiere Pro project import

I'm fairly new to After Effects, so forgive me if the solution to this is horribly obvious.

I'm having a problem to import an AE comp in Premiere Pro.

I created this sort of thing a banner in AE with an adjustment layer Gaussian blur. When you export as mov. and imported to the first the Gauss effect does not apply to my images in first.

So my question is how I do the Gaussian blur affect images in my editing in Premiere Pro?

I don't understand.

If you try to export an adjustment with the blur effect layer, to use at first, it does not, because you apply a blur effect to nothing and the result of rendering is nothing (it exports a movie, not an adjustment layer).

Use a blur effect to the effect in the first library. Or import your videos in After Effect (using the dynamic link for example: right-click on the item in the first, then select "replace with After Effect composition") and put this film under the adjustment layer.

The best way to make a backup of the entire project, including all automatic recording, project & media files is by using the "project manager" option inside the first.

Be sure to work with folder Option show hidden files, folders, or drives enabled so that you can see the given full path. In 8.1 for Windows 64-bit, you start with the file Explorer to access Folder Options.

  • Can Premiere Pro project be, convert and export to an earlier version - project recorded in the latest Message

I get this message when you try to open my project: "this project has been saved in a newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro and cannot be opened in this version."  I went to film school to my job and need for this project that was done at the College on the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro.  My company purchased Adobe Premiere Pro for my work computer for this project, but they only put 2015.0.5 release 9.0.2 (6) build.  Him will not update because the update has not been fully tested on our network.  Is it possible to open this project in its new version on another computer and save it to the version that I currently use at work?  I don't really want to have to start over.

As far as I know, there is no option "Save as" to save a project in an earlier version

A PARTIAL solution is to save the project as XML and import this XML into the other computer

  • Convert project first Clip for Premiere Pro project fails... What I am doing wrong?

I created my first video on my iPad and now want to refine the project in Premiere Pro. I looked at him "refine a Clip of first video in Premiere Pro" and followed all the steps, but something is wrong.

Although the XML file (and Media folder) if poster in my CC property is not available for first Pro CC (2015.2) when I choose «Convert Premiere Clip project...» ».

I was able to import a video MP4 Roughcut, but cannot change the actual project. I tried to send the bill back (whenever 'Envoys OK' confirmation appears) & reboot PP, but it does not help. I am connected to my Adobe CC account on all devices.

Really enjoy working with Premiere Clip, but the app is of limited use to me if I can't send Premiere Pro clip projects successfully. Help appreciated.

    Thank you

    Felicia Lovelett

    Hi Felicia,

Sorry, you have problems! You have the desktop app creative Cloud installed, with synchronization of file running? This will synchronize your projects first Clip and media locally on your computer, allowing Premiere Pro to open. (If you only synchronize your active CC Web Storage, Premiere Pro is not able to access.)

From the desktop application creative cloud in your menu bar, click the gear icon, and then click Preferences. Click the files tab, and verify that the synchronization is on. Here is also where you can see the location of your creative cloud on your computer folder. When you choose "Convert first Clip Project" in Premiere Pro, it should point to this folder on your computer.

Please let me know if it helps!

  • MORE THAN 1 DVD TO ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CS4 IMPORT?

WHEN I IMPORT A DVD VOB FILE (FOR EXAMPLE THE NAME OF THE 1ST FILE IS "VTS_01_1.VOB") SINCE A DVD EXISTING TO ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CS4, THIS I MUST LEAVE THIS DVD IN THE DVD PLAYER ALL THE TIME I'M CHANGING MY PROJECT?

THE PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE 3 DIFFERENT DVDS AND THE TIME AFTER THAT I IMPORTED THE DVD VOB FILE AND THEN OPEN THE DRIVE TO PUT THE NEW DVD IN THE NEW FILE I NEED, THE PREVIOUS VOB FILES ALL DISAPPEAR AS IF THEY ARE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE FIRST DVD WHERE THEY COME FROM.

CAN ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CS4 "REMEMBER" THE VOB FILE OF THE DVD THAT I IMPORTED?  THANKS FOR ANY HELP ON THIS...

One thing I note is that when you import assets into a project, they have not imported from this asset, but only to put in place a link to it, where she resided, when importation was made. The project file (PRPROJ) is only a database of XML links and instructions. There is no active (media files) in it. They must be available for the system and must be kept in the same exact spot on the system, i.e. do not move, rename or delete multimedia files, until you are sure you have finished 100%.

Good luck and just copy all the VOB on HARD disk before importing. Import these copies and keep them in the same place.

  • Comps AE in Premiere Pro CC import 2015, cannot be added to the sequence.

I tried to import a former After Effects composition into Premiere Pro 2015.4 CC (10.4.0 (30) build on Windows 10), but I am running into a problem:

All my compositions are important with no error message and I can preview, but I can't drag them on the sequence as anything else audio (which is empty, because they have Visual effects only).

The result is the same if I import them through to dynamic links or the importer of standard creation. Things like start little put me behind my work (as I browse these forums and get NO HELP from ADOBE while trying to understand these problems). It's funny, because I have the exact opposite problem with old creating sequences that will matter without errors and drop all the audio exactly WITHOUT reason.

  • How to collaborate on a Premiere Pro project and share the license?

Hello! A friend and I are currently working on a family film. We live 50 miles away, and each of us wants to edit the film when we have free time in the coming months 2-3 turns. I own Adobe Creative Cloud and allowed to use the first Pro/After effects/Photoshop, but it does not work.

I'm responsible for putting in place the system where we can all work together two, but I've never done this before. How can I configure something like this? I've heard Adobe anywhere... does this apply to me? I understand that I can share my CC license with up to a user, also. This way my friend can access on your PC the same set of Adobe software that I use.

Side note: I saw a video where I can write notes to my friend on the Premiere Pro timeline. It's really very well, that I can ask him "Do you like the shade of color to this photo?" or "you can change the region colored in blue. I'll work on this another area I marked in red.

How could manage shared project files, images, audio, files video proxy to separate (or even do I proxies more these days?), etc. ? And I use a LUT (*.cube) for the color adjustment. Is it as simple as send him a copy of the LUT file?

A birds-eye-view of best practices would be great.

    Thank you!

Thank you, John. That's what I wanted to say... that the license allows installation on two computers. I used the term "sharing license" in the title of the post to refer to the "license management" regarding teamwork, not not to give my driver's license. He is not a person of running back-to-back between two computers. I need something where both can work on the project at the same time. I found that something called "cloud for creative teams". I consider the question.

But I'm always interested to learn the whole system I need to implement in order to make this work.

I'm new on Premiere Pro and ranks of speed and working on a tutorial that I downloaded. I also tried with a project that I created in Premiere Pro and got the same result.

Premiere Pro and SpeedGrade have been updated to the latest version (CC).

    I am running Windows 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the help/a menu in PrPro remarks and the tab key on the box icon above. Download the CC version and the build number of the bottom of each box. Then post them here. You do not have an incompatibility.

Currently, the latest version is CC2014.2...

  • Deleted Adobe Premiere Pro project files?

I got the Adobe Premiere Pro trial version for 30 days. After the end of the trial, I lost all my project with the exception of a few files, and I can't find them anywhere. I moved from the project files in different folders and now these files are missing, and I can't find them either. These files are automatically deleted after the end of the trial version? And if so, why delete the folders they were in too?

  • Audio visible, no audible after the .aaf of the Final Cut Pro project import

I received a file of a CONF (Advanced Authoring Format) of a Final Cut Pro user.

It simply gave a .mov for video and audio accompanying wth AudioFX and trails of laughter in the AAF file. He wanted to see if I could clean up the audio since I use Adobe Audition and have dome such work.

I followed the procedure that I understood to import the AAF:

I used After Effects to import the AAF. (Pro Import AfterEffects)

I export the created folder and then the comp on to Premiere Pro CS6.

Everything looks good, all audio is enabled, I see waveforms on the timeline. But I can't hear audio when I play the timeline (where video is displayed in the program window.)

If I double-click on a waveform in one of the layers, it opens in the Source window and VOILA! I can hear the audio.

What could I do wrong that I cannot hear the sound when I play or scrub in the Timeline?

    Thanks in advance!

Select all clips in the timeline, right-click and chose to remove the effects/attributes and uncheck everything except audio level, audio gain etc. There are at least three different places that control the volume out of the clip that sits in a timeline.

Also check the audio effects for each individual item

  • Cannot export an After Effects project to Adobe Premiere Pro project

I created a really simple After Effects composition (Comp 1): a layer of animated text that uses animate it-right in by word Preset.

I tried the file - export - Adobe Premier Pro project.

But when I open the new file in Adobe Premier Pro, I get the following message:

The preset used by one of the sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not be located. These sequences will be changed to use a custom sequence implementation. To continue editing using the pre-selection of origin, exit the application without saving the project, re - install all third-party components that are needed, and reopen the project. Ok

When I press OK I just get an empty workspace Premier Pro. COMP 1 appears in the project area - but that's all!

I have some components of part 3. They are all in a folder in next to the official file called Presets predefined animations. But the screening I used is a standard Preset in Adobe - nothing third-party. I was also wondering if the problem was the text? - but I tried Arial and Helvetica and still get the same message.

PS. The reason why I want to try this message was to see if the text layer would be transparent - please let me know if there is a way to better/alternative to do this?

    1. If your suggestion of rendering using a container from different media / codec is faster and easier to import After Effects in Premier Pro with a transparent background? And if yes, can you give me an example of the media that container & codec will do the trick?

For example, PNG, TGA, which are installed with Adobe Suite and available as the two image sequence and QuickTime movie. Video of the UT, DNxHD, ProRes (Mac only) requires separate and installation available in MOV or AVI (video c on a PC) container. Etc.

    2. back to my original question: even if export an After Effects project as an Adobe Premier Pro project is not really solve my problem of needing a transparent background, it all works? Because it seems to me that my test (simple text with a unique Adobe preset text effect applied layer) is about as simple as you can get with After Effects. So what didn't come out to the Premier Pro, what can?

When you export your AE PrPro project project, PrPro tries its best to convert keyframes, effects, and all the rest in the same way as if you copy and paste a layer of AE in the PrPro sequence. However, it cannot convert what it is these things that do not exist in PrPro. See this and that help sections.

See also this section on the rendering of assistance.

As Rick said, apart from rendering your AE composition, you can use Dynamic Link to your AE compositions in PrPro project. Although you can import into PrPro project AE compositions of different versions of the Suite, so that dynamic links would work as a two lane road (i.e. of the kind that you would be able to send a clip or group of clips in your timeline in PrPro project in AE through dynamic links) you need versions of PrPro and corresponding AE. What is more, before CS6 Adobe Dynamic Link requires the Production Premium or Master Collection installed. Since the CS6, you must just PrPro and AE.

  • Best way to share the Premiere Pro project between computers

I have Premiere Pro on a Mac.

We use Media Manager to share projects in Final Cut Pro, and it works very very well. Is there an equivalent of first?

I have media from filming which is duplicated on two computers. Each computer has a different project and edit partner as meda. I want to put the two bills on a single machine.

I copied the project from computer A to computer B and re-related to the media, but the change is over. Y at - there a trick to this? I also do some kind of stunt?

If you have both the same elements exact the edict should open normal upward. Where I work we constantly are simply the prproj file because we all have exactly the same elements of edition, such as the lower third, bumps, voice-over, music, promotions, entertainment. So basically, it is quite simply because we have a folder structure for each program that we publish and that makes things extremely simple. At most, therefore, recreate a link to 4-5 folders because once add you a link to something a category/folder, everything is auto-pilot. Because the first then searches the rest of the stuff in this particular category within the folder. So re-binder is pretty easy, as long as everybody keeps their correct records.

However, as Steven mentioned correctly, you can go to project > project mananger and you copy all your clips into a new folder. You can create a cut version of the project or a full version of the project. But if you and your interlocutor, that both have the exact same thing, so you should not need similarly to use project mananger, if add you a link to all the media correctly there shouldn't have been any question, I did this literally 1000 times and never had a problem unless I accidentally hurt linked something.

  • OK - so I use an old computer for my Premiere Pro project

    Intel (r) Core i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40 GHz

    6 GB

    64-bit operating system

A year ago, I wasn't having problems (besides it's so long to export media.  However, the last six months, I've noticed much different and for a month and a half has been pretty frustrating.  If I have too many things on video (too many images or video is slowed down), the computer hangs and does not address the media.

I've searched and searched.  I know that my computer is old (probably around 7 years).  My question is, is there something I can do to work with the computer I have?  If I don't have enough information, please ask for more details.  I'm at the end of my understanding of the situation.

    Thank you very much.

Here are the minimum requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2015)

Premiere Pro system requirements for Mac OS and Windows

To speed up the editing process, I'll make sure your reading to 1/4 or 1/8 speed in your case. Also, make sure some media proxy.

This video - How to create Proxy for dslr Footage Tutorial - YouTube files has the right settings for your machine that I read above.

Once you do proxies and remember your reading, you should be fine, but you need to upgrade your ram. I would recommend at least 8 GB. 12 GB would be a minimum in good health. Another thing, do not update adobe CC 2015.3 for now. My old machine that is much more equipped than yours, could not manage it. Too many bugs now.
