Status of the printer offline

HP photosmart c8180 all-in-one says 'offline status '.  How can I get this back online?  Windows 7, the material is ok, on wireless home network

The printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable or network?

If on a network, what brand and model is the router?

Remove power from the wall outlet and the printer for 1 minute.  Reconnect power to the outlet and the printer and the printer.  Does change anything?

Try to use the print and Scan doctor.  The link also has a guide on the use of the tool as it is designed to help resolve many printing issues.  He finds errors and correct them?  If did not correct the errors, it should give a little more information on how to solve the problem.

    Hello theleeb,

When you go to the properties of the printer and you see that it says 192.168.1.5 that should be checked.

Just below there is a button to configure the port. What to choose.

The next window should ask what the name of the printer or the IP address is that you'll want to change this to match the IP address that we assigned to the printer. 192.168.1.250

The IP address of the printer should never change, but you can also tick the box that says print to this printer, even if IP address changes, just for a safety net.

  • LaserJet 2100TN: Laserjet 2100n - failed to get the status of the printer

You just bought a few new computers Mac - one is a Macbook Air running Yosemite and one is a trash Pro Mac also running Yosemite. I installed the printer laserjet 2100 on the Macbook Air with no problems.

BUT, when I installed the same printer on my garbage can, it will not be printed. Says: "unable to get the status of the printer.

I noticed a couplde things: on the Macbook Air, the selection of the pilot was MUCH greater than on the trash even if the OS is exactly the same thing. So then I tried to download the drivers from HP, but apparently they are old. Now on the Macbook Air, the driver software is something like v19.11. On the trash, it is of the 4.3.1.094. So maybe I've screwed something up there.

But in any case, I'll need to get the updated driver. Where is it stored? I tried to move the entire HP folder in my Macbook Air trash who lies here: car/library/printers. It does not work.

any help would be appreciated! It's an old printer bought in 2000, but she such a great printer!

I'm sure this is an easy solution for everyone, but I can't find the answer anywhere.  My printer does not print and the ERROR status.  What can I do to get it working again?
I checked through other responses and tried the tips to update... but no luck!  Thank you!

Uninstall the software and drivers of the printer and remove it from the computer.

Reinstall it according to the instructions of the manufacturer of the printer.

If reinstalling printer and its drivers/software does not resolve the problem, contact the manufacturer of the printer.

In addition, on their Web site, download a manual or instructions on how to reinstall/use of the printer, if you do not have the written instructions.

  • The ATT Uverse technician had to install a new router it reconfigured my laptops and desktop, now they work. I have a wireless HP printer, it will print from the desktop, but not the laptop, the message indicates the printer offline. Help!

I need to know how to re acrivare my prinrer wireless, itr says he is offline

If the printer is accessible and works and that your computer can reach it via the network, then most likely the printer has been set to ' offline '.

This can happen when you try to print to the printer when it is not reachable and it accumulates mainly of your printing until it is put online, or it can be done manually by changing the mode.

To change the mode back to "online" you will need to open your printers folder and right click on your printer and select "use printer online".  You can also check your printer settings and make sure that the printer you want to use is the default printer (the default printer can also be defined by double-clicking the printer icon and choose "Set as default printer").

  • All-in-One B110a - HP constantly turns off printer - the printer offline message

Can someone help...? the printer seems to be off all the time - sometimes I get the error message-"printer offline" I have uninstalled and reinstalled and applied the "fix" by HP pffered, but it continues to happen.

Looks like you have a problem with the mode 'sleep'.  There are only a few things you can try when this happens.  First of all, make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.  If you have connected it to a surge protector or power stirp, he cannot get enough power to wake up.  The only other thing you can do is to ensure that the latest firmware is installed.  You can find the instructions below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02836005

If these things do not help, I contact HP and see if the printer is still under warranty.  If this is the case, HP should replace for this issue.  You will find the contact information below.

  • message the printer offline

I have a desktop HP Pavilion with Windows 8 and a HP Officejet 4500 printer. I get a "printer offline" message when I try to print - even when the printer is turned on and connected to the radio. I find when I uninstall the printer and reinstall, it works very well for a day or two. But then the problem comes back. I need a permanent solution to this problem. You don't know if it's important but uses Avast security program.

    mbear,

I would that disable you the program Avast and re try printing. Check out the helpful video I found below on YouTube.com:

  • Strange message Popup; Status of the printer

    HP Officejet 6700; Windows 8.1

All features work fine until today (made no reserve for my PC)... Could not use the scanner.  Went to devices & Printers; My 6700 is labeled as network printer... which is correct, it is connected by Ethernet to my network router.  When I put the mouse on the printer it read STATUS: NOT CONNECTED.

I was but to print a TEST PAGE PRINT job from the Printers' Properpties.  So, the Ferré NOT LINKED printer but it always print a Test Page... Strange.

I contacted the HP Support they uninstalled and reinstalled the driver.  Download the re - install... when I open devices & printers, place the mouse on the printer... its bed status now STATUS, LETTER, PROTRAIT.   In the past where everything was beautiful status would be disolay;  THE STATE PRINTER: LOAN.

My 2 other laptops wireless display in device & printers; STATUS: PRINTER: LOAN

Why, after the re - install abdellah HP is now reflecting the SITUATION: LETTER, PROTRAIT?  What this mean it should display as STATUS: PRINTER: READY...

That's exactly right. So yes, I guess it's a thing of Windows 8!
