  I did exactly that.

  There is a menu option to explicitly disable AF with the press of the shutter. (I think it is called "AF with shutter"). After that, simply customize a command AF-ON button.

  Sorry can not verify the exact menu item that I don't have my camera at hand today, but it is confirmed that it was possible. This is one of the first things I did - I can't wait autofocus with half press of the shutter too

  I don't know if the focus and recompose work for my A6000.

  Here are my settings:

  AF w/shutter OFF

  Pre - AF OFF

  AEL w/shutter OFF

  AF-AEL button on

  My sequence:

  1. press the AEL button to focus on a subject by using the central development area

  2. release the focus of the "back" button

  3 recompose to follow the rule of thirds

  4. press the shutter button to take the picture.

  The subject is not to the point when I recompose.

  However, if I just developed and click on without redial, the subject is net.

  Has anyone tried focus and recompose using A6000? Maybe, I have a faulty camera that I need to send it back to Sony for repair.

  Welcome to the community of Sony!

  Based on your post, you use the AEL button to lock focus on your subject and then recompose the shot. The rule of thirds, I guess when you crop the picture, you're shooting the subject out of the center of the image. And if yes, then I suggest changing your focus area -wide or area. This lets focus you on the subjects or those who are in a different area on the frame. I also suggest changing the mode of development according to the movement of your subject. It is preferable to use AF - S with the emphasis of the "back" button when your subject is motionless.

  I have the A65 with the latest firmware installed. I have my AEL set to operate. When I use this, it changes the exposure setting and blowing the image some. Is there a setting I could check to change this or is it a defect?

  If you use spot AEL hold / toggle and the parameter [measuring Mode] is [Multi segment] or [weighted Central], it is normal that there will be a change in exposure values. The AEL spot will replace the existing count mode settings, and it hangs just exposure on the circle of spot metering, located in the center of your screen. This is in contrast to the mainstream of EYL, in which locked exposure will depend on your current configuration measures.

  To understand us better, perform the following steps.

  1. The value [measuring Mode] to [place].
  
  
  2. The value [. Func button EYL] [toggle Spot AEL] or [Spot AEL Hold'em];
  
  
  3. Press the AEL button to lock exposure.

  In the above configuration, you will notice that there will be no change in your exposure (shutter speed, Aperture, ISO) values This is because the camera is using spot of measurement before and after pressing the button EYL.

  Try to replace the [count Mode] [Multi segment] and repeat steps 2 and 3. You will notice that there will be changes in the values of your exposure. The camera using the multi-segment metering before you press the AEL button, and the unit will use the spot metering after you press the AEL button.

  You do not need to create a new topic, it will be easier for you to review everything in this thread. I will try to give you the answer to your last questions better than I can.

  [Soft skin effect] recognizes skin tones and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and stains without affecting the rest of the shooting. Add levels low, medium, or strong [soft skin effect] depending on how it is defined (see the example below).

  

  As mentioned on my previous post, you can only turn the top display panel on or off. The information displayed on the Panel depends on what your camera settings are light or used. The description of each information on DSC-RX10 Help Guidecan be found.

  [The AEL w / shutter] is a function that can be used when you want to crop the scene, but keep the current risks of change. It allows the camera keep the same brightness between takes. Is set to [Auto], exposure will be set after the update is automatically adjusted when [Focus] is set to [Single-shot AF] and set it on [you] If you plan to use other [Mode Focus] just as it is described in this Guide. [Off] setting is very explicit.

  [SNA] or scene selection is another type of automatic mode where the camera settings are twisted with a configuration preset for common scenarios shooting or scenes and mode [Auto smart] will automatically do everything necessary to provide optimal results. • LR4.4: Nex5 vs Nex5T is no longer reads the arw files

  My Sony Nex5 broken and is no longer available, so I bought the Sony Nex5T. I use Win7 on desktop and 4.4 of Lightroom. When I take photo with my Nex5, import pictures off the card into a "dump" file based on the date and the copy as DNG. I can get an overview of the photo and arw import to DNG without problem.  I shoot in raw to jpeg on both devices.

  With the Nex5T, I followed the same process as with the nex5.  However, now the 'Preview is not available for the file"and when I try to import,"files are not recognized by the raw format support in lightroom"both cameras are sony and use the arw format.

  I tried solutions: I reformatted the SD card, I made sure records were allowed to write (no read-only folder), I copied arw in folder and then tried to convert (did not work) and I checked the help discussions and google searched and cannot find a solution.

  I can use the dngconversion program, but it takes a long time. changes the name of the file so now jpeg and dng format are no longer associated with which is a problem for me.

  Lightroom 5 this would set? I consider the upgrade, but if it isn't, I don't want to lose money. I want the process to work with the new camera in the same way, he has worked with an earlier version of the same!  Ideally, I like to keep 4.4 lightroom. I'm still trying to learn to use it beyond the organization.

  If you take a look at the 8.2 camera Raw and DNG Converter 8.2 now available seems to indicate that Nex5T support appeared in Lightroom 5 Sep 17, 2013. If Lr 5.5 will support RAW files.

  Otherwise, you will need to use the DNG Converter as you mentioned above.

• MF assist assign [NEX-6] button EYL and ISO, etc. to the B button

  I just bought a NEX-6, and I still know all the bells & whistles. The only feature that left me open-mouthed is the custom key assignment.

  I can assign MF Assist to my button EYL (A button), but I noticed that if I want to assign a different action to the B button (bottom right of the LCD screen), I have to disable MF Assist. It seems that the B button is the default button MF Assist, and it won't remap until MF Assist is disabled. Once MF Assist is disabled, I can remap the button B to any valid function. However, if MF Assist is disabled, I lose the functionality of mapping MF Assist to A button!

  This seems to be a bug, I hope it is fixed in a (as yet to be published) firmware update.

  Can anyone else confirm this? I work in priority shutter (S) mode and I use a manual lens.

  I just read a post online saying that this is considered "normal functioning" of the NEX-6

  "(i) One cannot assign MF Assist to softkey A (button EYL) AND have one function assigned to softkey B other than MF Assist. Can't do.

  (II) you CAN assign MF Assist for the AEL button, but then the B key will remain on MF Assist (it's function by default when using manual lenses).

  Therefore, the NEX - 6 'normal operation' means that you want to assign MF Assist to A key, you will be forced to have two buttons whose function is MF Assist! Obviously, this is a bug/built-in limitation that can be corrected with an update of the firmware. »

  It's unsettling. I also had this same problem/complaint with my NEX-6. It is a bug. Why deliberately cripple this great product?

  When you get the new iPod, you can use iTunes on your computer to select and synchronize the music you want on it, in the same way that you synchronize your current iPod - your iTunes will recognize them as different devices and will remember your choice of synchronization for each, it will not (unless, for example, you restore the backup of your current on her iPod) put the same content on both.

  In order to synchronize Notes between your Mac and iPhone, you must configure iCloud > http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

  But this requires macOS Sierra 10.12, the latest available version and the last iOS available for your iPhone.

  I have a question on how to better organize my photo library.

  For the moment, on my space OneDrive (mapped to a partition on my MacBook SSD), I have a folder called 'Images' containing just about all of my photos and organized by folders.

  Since my tech ecosystem is roughly marked Apple (iPhone, iPad and MacBook), I would use the power and versatility of the Photos and iCloud, so that everything remains in all of my devices and free space memory iPhone sync.

  Here's the question: I want to keep my pictures saved on OneDrive, then put the Photos on my Mac to view photos from this folder and use iCloud to share through my devices.

  -I see the same folder structure on iPhone and iPad a synchronization is complete?

  -More important, if I take a picture with my iPad, it will be placed not only on iCloud but also automatically added pictures on Mac which, in turn, puts it in the folder of photos on my OneDrive?

  -Finally, take pictures of my iDevices will store them in the film. If I move them into folders, photos will be mapped (copied to iCloud) on my other devices constantly (in the folder)?

  I would like to notice I'm not trying to avoid using iCloud premium space - I already have a subscription plan of 50 GB that I don't mind mounted. I just keep having just all my photos on OneDrive.

  The photo library can not be stored on a basic system to pictures not work will have a referenced library, so you may not have a local library references photos on a disc - the photo library can be on a local drive connected directly to the Mac OS Extended format

  You can synchronize between the Mac and IOS devices using iCloud library that synchronizes the photos and the structure of the album/folder between devices

  When you import pictures you can export them to your OneDrive record and have a copy (not associate Photos somehow) on a disk

• Updated for Sierra and cannot import images

  I upgraded to Sierra and my camera, a Canon EOS 20 d is is properly recognized.

  Prior to the upgrade:

  When I plugged the camera would open automatically. I close and open Photoshop. PS I would like to select Import-> device and my camera would be identified. When I select the camer displayed thumbnails of photo.

  After the upgrade:

• Speeches and a .key file cannot be opened

  I'm unable to open or work on Keynote documents. I get an error popup image that says: cannot open 'FILE.key' because it is not a valid document to Keynote. I'm assuming that the same problem will occur in numbers and pages so I have not used either of these programs in a very long time so I do not have a file to test on.

  I know that the file is indeed a valid Keynote document. I recently had to reinstall my package iWork 09 since the original software discs - I have them have not purchased through the App store or my iCloud account. I have a software key. I can't move my OS to Sierra right now because I have other software that I use for work and tech support as we said we cannot go immediately. My current OS is El Capitan 10.11.6, and I have a MacBook Pro 15 "retina.

  Any advice on obtaining Keynote works again until I can make the upgrade to Sierra?

  Sounds like you are trying use Keynote 09 to open a file created by Keynote 6.

  Keynote 09 cannot open files of version 6 because they are a different file format.

  If this is the case, buy and install Keynote 6 from the Mac App Store.
