AF flat layer rotation... =)

Hello world! I'm new here and I'm too new to AF...

I am creating a menu dvd for callback from a Photoshop .psd file to. I opened the psd as composition in AF, save the project, and then I want an animation of rotation (rotation flat, not 3d) to one of the layers. The layer is the sun rising as shown on the picture below:

risingsun.jpg

The layer of the psd file is larger than the size of the canvas, because I knew I should rotate. When I add a rotation AF by keyframes tha layer spin animation, but it is cropped to the size of the video:

risingsun1.jpg

It's not cool, see?

How can I rotate the layer without cropping?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Yupp, I agree with Andrew. If all else fails, import the document as a model. This usually keeps the original dimensions all layers.

  • Background layer unlocks and becomes the normal "no flat" layer after using the crop tool in PS CC 2015.1 (a different behavior for older versions of PS)

    Hi all

I found that it is more difficult to explain than I thought

I don't like the new behavior in the latest version of Photoshop (CC 2015.1) regarding the way in which the background layers automatically unlock and convert to regular layers after using the crop tool. It's completely different to how things worked in previous versions, where a background layer remained in locked state flattened after using the crop tool.

I get a LOT of images and this change has added an extra step to each image that I harvest, because I flatten the layers after cropping before saving the image. I looked through the preferences but cannot find a way to change this new behavior. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your help

See if checking Delete the cropped Pixels in the tool options makes a difference.

I see that normal texture filtering. Looks like you have a fundamental misunderstanding here about the work how 3D - "pixel perfect" has no meaning for 3D from space UV textures is parametric and has in itself in the infinite theory resolution, therefore any texture may be inserted in this range and inevitably a single pixel in the texture can cover more than one pixel on the display or more than one mm square on a 3D object. If you want "sharp" textures, you increase the resolution of the texture, which, if you really want that pixely look would be doen using the nearest neighbor method. However, once you approach at some point you will see Fuzzy edges / pixel again. It is in the nature of the thing.

  • Vector logo sent to the client as a flat layer?

HAVE newbie here. How to send the customer a vector logo? When I save my logo in EPS, it is always in a thousand pieces. Is it possible to 'Flatten' logo in Photoshop before you send it as a vector?

My logo has a transparency which I want to keep.

How to send a scalable vector logo with transparency so that a customer can easily open and view the file?

    Thanks in advance!

No, the ability of logo can be used by any workflow that can handle a PDF file. Make a PDF file doesn't flatten the work.

I think you can do it with an expression as follows:

    thisComp.layer("ROTATE").transform.xRotation.valueAtTime (time-inPoint)

  • 3D solid deforms on oddly on a Z rotation

I went through internet looking for an answer to this problem of particularity which is: whenever I convert a solid flat layer to a 3D object and then try to turn on the Z axis, it starts to stretch the object on the X axis. When I go back for a full ride to 180 degrees, it returns to its normal size and ratio.

I found people with this problem, but I have not found a clear solution on how to solve this problem.

  • SyncRep failover behavior

Configuration: 1 x Campus, 2 x servers, direct fiber mesh full between iSCSI switches

In each room, the customer has 2 5.5 ESXi hosts, 2 x iSCSI and the 1xPS6500 switches

The iSCSI network is a network of flat layer 2. The customer wants active SyncRep and two server rooms to be active/active to make good return on investment. In a DR scenario, for example the bathroom server disconnects. He wants VMs failover to B using VMware HA server room.

What exactly happens with SyncRep fail-over. I read the article of TR on which mentions changes in naa and restorations must be re-analyzed. In addition, intervention in the Group Manager.

Anyone can develop from any futher on exactly what to expect and what actions should be taken.

    Thank you

    Hello

The TR is describing what would happen after a failure on the primary side.  That is a double failing RAIDset.  Since currently there is no automatic failure on to the pool of replacement.   You must the failover of GUI/CLI to the pool of replacement.  Then rescan if ESXi, and start your virtual machines.

If you want to actively, you can move symply to the pool of replacement without any downtime.  It uses a SCSI required has "connection redirection" and "Async logout".    When you move to the pool of replacement, it will record the existing connections and when they immediately reconnect they will be redirected to the pool the pool rep now active sync.

Hello, I use a work of art with many different channels that im having hard time turn into layers in Photoshop, when copying and pasting that they won't copy. This is a file from RGB 8 bits.

I am wanting to turn it into a jpeg file so I can rework the file from scratch as a flat layer.

When I save in JPEG format it records everything white.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

  • CS6 how to make map 2d out of the Earth 3d

    Hiya.

I have a pic of Earth... like that...

    earth copy.jpg

and a card like this chart...

    IceAgeLast-Mine1 72ppi-copy.jpg

the background of the two images is alpha (transparent). I want to put the map on Earth and fold if it conforms to the shape of the Earth a little close to the scale and position of the peak of Earth Watch...

And then (using the position of the scale etc.) basically, I fade to black for the photo of the Earth and bring up the graph of the map as it sorta gets to raise the surface of this earth pic.

In other words, we start tight on Earth as you see... and this photo card conforms to that (even if it is not visible yet). Now, I fade to black on the picture of the Earth and bring the card pick up visible at the same time (dissolve sorta a cross...)

At the SAME time (approximately 10 seconds) I now change the scale of the TWO so that I have eventually see the peak of graph of the card in the end... and no spike of Earth at all.

But I want to go to the image of the card complying with the curvature of the peak of Earth... for the peak of end plate in 2d, you see here at the same time.

Basically, we see the Earth, we see the Earth fade as map (which corresponds to the curvature of the Earth and scale) comes up... and then the whole passage dimensions also downwards so that after 10 seconds, or so... We see the spike at the end of the graphics card.

I am a new user of AE.

    Thank you!

You should start with two orthographic images, a map, Earth:

    http://Awka.sourceforge.NET/Day_lrg.jpg

Align them, apply as long as textures for a CC sphere. You'll find yourself with two layers of sphere. Put the map on the first page.

Animate the opacity of the sphere of the card and start pushing on both layers.

Add a copy of your layer of the 2D map as a flat layer. Add the effect of bulge and align the image so that it matches the card on the sphere.

Animate the opacity and the bulge effect and move your layer from the map in the position.

There are dozens of ways to do what you want, what an idea.

  • Expression of sequelae

    Hello

Y at - it an expression that leaves me parent/synchronize two properties of layer to different values.

    For example:

    Layer 1 value 90 °

Value of the layer (2 180)

and increasing by one (+ 1) should do

    Value of the layer 1 91 °

Value of the layer (2 181)

    and so on...

    Thank you

The big thing to learn how to use expressions is to remember a little math College. Basic algebra. You have reserved some words such as thisComp, thisComp.layer (name of the layer), rotation, position and some as mathematical operators +,-. MathPI.

There are also words that gather information such as the index and the value.

Position, direction, color and a bunch of other values are arrays. The paintings are in square brackets. For example the position of the layer 3D of 200, 200, 0 is written in an expression such as [200, 200, 0], the first value of the expression is [0], the second is the value [1], the third is the value [2]. This is important when you define variables for the table.

You can define the elements of the array like this:

    x = 200;

    y = value [1];

    z = 0;

    [x, y, z]

This property returns a 200 position, any value that you set for the property y and z to 0 position. IOW you can keyframe the position, but only the value property of change because that takes its value from the position of the keyframes.  There you go, the most confusing part of the expressions has just explained.

Your problem is a simple addition of 90 ° to the rotation value of layer 1. Your expression for two layer should be:

    thisComp.layer(Layer_1).rotation + 90

Using this expression animation keyframe in layer 1 will be displayed in layer 2, but the values will be more than 90 °. You can also use the index or the number of layer as a multiplier. IOW, if you had a bunch of layers that you want to rotate by increments of 10 °, you can write this expression:

    thisComp.layer (Layer 1). rotation + (10 * index-1).

If layer 1 was at 0º, layer 2 would be to 10º, layer 2 would be to 20º, layer 3 would be to 30º and so forth providing Layer 1 was at the top of the timeline and layer 3 was at the bottom. You should be able to understand why.

I hope this helps. It should also give you enough information to parents of a single axis. Take a look at the example of position which declares the variables.

  • Transformation/rotation of the adjustment layer matrix

    Hi all

I "is working on a plug-in of the CEAP to transform keyframe on the layer. I have a sequence of 3D rotations stored as quaternions and I would like to convert it into orientation keyframes (or rotation). Conversion of quaternions to Euler angles is not acceptable in my situation, because due to the multiple possible solutions/angles for the same 'pose', the object tilts during the animation. The SDK Guide also specifies that the Orientation using quaternion, but I don't know how this can help me.

    Any ideas?

  • Rotation of a layer

When I rotate a layer of: Edit > Transform > scale, rotation, the edges look pixelated on the screen.  I tried to turn the layer as a smart object and get the same results.  My canvas is 10 "x 10" at 300 dpi. "  "The layer I'm turning is about 3 '' x3.75" (900x1125pixels.)

Is there a better way to rotate a layer from different angles?  I know that the edges will somewhat be rasterized when turning, but the edge seems worse than expected.  I am experienced with the help of paint shop pro and this result in rotating layers from various angles.

I wonder if this might be a video driver issue, where the screen just is not updated...

You can post an image showing the problem?

Here are the types of results I get with the material, which is usually sensitive to slight rotations...  Click on the image to see full size.

  • Center effect bulge to follow a rotated layer

    Hey guys!

It hurt me I thought my brain but can't seem to find an appropriate solution:

Imagine a light hanging from the ceiling bulb. The wire it is suspended from East train to turn and the bulb is related to this thread, so that it must follow the rotations. In other words, the bulb is swinging back. I just want the bulb effect to follow where the bulb goes, but the man is becoming a difficult task!

It is difficult, because the effect of the bulb cannot be moved by changing the parameter "Center Ardennes". If I for example set the bulge on an adjustment layer effect and do rotate/move the adjustment layer, nothing happens, since downtown Ardennes itself is not moved.

How the hell can I get the bulge Center to follow a rotation that exists on a parent layer, so that also the anchor point that rotation Center Ardennes is placed where it should be (the place where is the anchor for the wire)? The anchor point is important to establish the Ardennes always Center where the bulb is, to give the illusion of the 'curved' glass bulb the wall behind her.

Wow I am in awe, if someone can come up with an elegant solution!

If you want the bulge that is applied to the layer light bulb you can just apply it. No necessary expression.

If you want to apply the bulge of an adjustment layer, then you must do a few things. First of all, as you have done, parent of the bulb to the power cord. Then move the anchor point of the layer bulb to where you want the center of the bulge to be. Now, add the following expression to the Bulge Center property on the adjustment layer:

    bulb = thisComp.layer("Bulb");
    cntr = bulb.anchorPoint;
    bulb.toComp(cntr)

This is a model sample CS5.
