  Solved! I ran HP Support Assistant, and he recommended that I have install a BIOS update, I did. After you restart, audio input is recognized.

The error code is 0xC004C017, I tried to activate using different methods, but the options given to me is only 1) buy a new product key online 2) try a different product key for activation of Contact 3) Microsoft to help solve this problem. There are no other options available to me as the activation of the phone.

  The program will be same not open even if its there and shown in the Task Manager.

  Satellite P100 is a fairly old machine, but if you use the original recovery disk it contains good SATA driver.
